Reviews for Domaine St George
Review 1:We stayed in the Jasmine suite, there was a lot of noise from the guests in the adjoining room, had very disturbed sleep.
Review 2:Lovely, helpful hosts, went out of their way to cater to our dietry restrictions. Delicious breakfast/dinner, amazing views.
Review 3:Domaine St George is perfectly located for visiting both Toulouse ,Carrcassone and the many other towns and villages of the area. Easy access (and close to Limoux which has several restaurants) set amongst the vineyards with lots of outside facilities in which to relax. The welcome given and thought and care which the resident owners, John and Maureen give to ensuring you have a comfortable stay make this a perfect base for a longer stay. They actually sourced gluten free ingredients from the UK and France (not an easy task in France as choice appears limited in supermarkets and restaurant staff were, on the whole, not well informed) for breakfast. Just one example of them going the extra mile for their guests. Breakfasts are an absolute treat and beautifully presented and (should you require it) the evening meal was super. That said there is a separate well equipped kitchen in which you can prepare your own food and both inside and outside dining facilities.
Review 4:We had such a warm welcome, including help with heavy cases. The breakfasts were amazing and we had a lot of help to get washing done and find a doctor when we need one.
Review 5:The hosts were so helpful with directions, suggestions of where to visit, breakfast was way beyond continental, they cook dinner that would be a five star. Great value and beautiful property, every detail was thought of.
Review 6:The location was excellent, just outside of Limoux, and overlooking spectacular countryside, peaceful and relaxing. The room was tastefully furnished and the bed was very comfortable, we slept like logs! Breakfast was wonderful, with Maureen's home made jams, scones and pancakes, with croissants a-plenty. No shortage of tea, coffee or juice either. John and Maureen were welcoming hosts and a pleasure to converse with. We'll definitely be back.
Review 7:nothing
Review 8:the accommodation is spacious spotlessly clean and comfortable. It has wonderful views over the surrounding vineyards and set in a very peaceful environment 5min drive or 40 min walk from centre of Limoux. Maureen and John are very friendly and helpful and able to give lots of good advice and information regarding places to visit. Maureens breakfasts are outstanding ! A beautiful array of homemade and local produce the selection of which changes daily. Probably the nicest breakfast I have ever had anywhere .Thank you ! I would definitely stay again and highly recommend
Review 9:I would probably book one of the larger rooms next time
Review 10:The location was beautiful and close to the town of Limoux. Breakfast in the garden was excellent. The hosts were most helpful even providing us with a small supper when we arrived late.
Review 11:Nothing.
Review 12:The couple who run this B&B are incredibly accommodating. They are welcoming and extremely friendly and hospitable. The rooms were spotless and comfortable with as many little touches as they could think of included in the price. The directions to get to the place were perfection personified. We felt very welcome and wished we had stayed for longer but other bookings kept us moving on.
Review 13:John and Maureen were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The grounds and pool were really lovely, and the room and bathroom were spotless. The breakfast was outstanding - by far the best that we had during our stay in various places in the region. Highly recommended!

Review 22:Beautiful location, great village nearby with v good restaurant. Great breakfast, lovely old comfortable building.
Review 23:Everything. John & Maureen were excellent hosts, attending to every need that arose. The facilities are excellent and the pool area and outside spaces are a joy to use. The breakfast is an ever changing feast of fresh produce with a great selection breakfast items. We shall be returning for more great hospitality very soon.
Review 24:Other than the weather, nothing.
Review 25:We especially liked the location of the house, on a rise outside Limoux, surrounded by vineyards. The pool has a splendid view - too bad it was off-season, rainy and cold for our brief visit. John was a gracious host who prepared an excellent breakfast. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. It was fun to observe some of the Limoux festival activities, even in the rain.
Review 26:Not being able to pay by credit card ATM is in town 5 minutes drive away
Review 27:The breakfast was excellent the room was home from home very clean and comfortable hopefully we will be returning to this area in the nest 2 years and would not hesitate to book in to this bed and breakfast and will be recommending to our friends and fammily Ab

Review 30:Excellent throughout our 2 night stay. Charming and very helpful hosts, delicious breakfast, gorgious rooms and a stunning pool surrounded by beautiful nature. It does not get much better than this. Would highly recommend if in this area.
Review 31:Nothing really!
Review 32:Excellent standard all round. Every detail attended to in this extremelycomfortable, deluxe chambre d'hote. Hosts, Maureen and John availableto address any issue, but somehow, never obtrusive.Food exquisite andMon/tues optional group dinner very successful. We met some loveltpeople, both English and French.
Review 33:Not being able to accept credit cards because of the high commissions charged could make it hard for some travellers to have ready cash available, and the nearest ATM is several kilometers away.
Review 34:The house is surrounded by vineyards a few kilometers outsider of Limoux. The rooms are spacious, modern, and well decorated with a lot of detail to make the guest feel at home, with writing paper, pens, shaving cream and razor, body cream, toothpaste and toothbrush etc. The hosts are English so non-French speaking guests will have no linguistic barriers. There is a kitchen with all facilities so guests can buy their food at the local supermarket and prepare it here. We didn't use the pool but it looked inviting. Breakfast was the best I have ever had at a B & B, with scones, pancakes, homemade jams and muesli. There was so much food and it was all very good. The owners make you feel comfortable and I only wish that I could have stayed longer.
Review 35:Absolutely nothing.
Review 36:Perfect 2-bedroom suite for a mother travelling with her adult son. Extremely comfortable beds & lovely new bathroom. Fabulous setting amongst the vines on the edge of Limoux. Wonderful, friendly host. Thoughtful extras (e.g. cup of tea/drink on arrival; bottled water in rooms; self-catering kitchenette available for guests). Lovely outdoor pool & sun terrace area, & lovely gardens. Delicious breakfast (home-made produce).
Review 37:Everything. Friendly hosts, Lovely accomadation, Fantastic food and well situated for rxploring the local region. Our hosts advised us of places to visit Wish we could have stayed longer.
Review 38:This was such a great surprise to be welcomed in this lovely place held by such kind and attentionate people. Everything was excellent, from the nicely furnished large rooms to the unforgetable breakfast table! For sure I'll book there again when I'm coming back !!!
Review 39:This vineyard accommodation in the heart of the vineyards was a perfectbase for an exploration of the area. We only wish we could have stayedlonger. John & Maureen are the most perfect hosts! We had a greatwelcome and had a beautiful and lovely decorated suite with comfortablebeds.
