Reviews for Hôtel l'Amandière
Review 1:Beautiful little hotel with lovely clean, modern room/bathroom. Wonderful lounge area and superb breakfast. Have been before and will definitely be back.
Review 2:A little far from downtown to walk back and forth, car parking very tight. A mini fridge in room would be very useful.
Review 3:Property, pool, gardens, staff, breakfast, atmosphere of boutique hotel. Quiet location
Review 4:This isn't a necessarily a bad thing, just that the toilet room is very small and something that might be a concern for people.
Review 5:The staff were so friendly and helpful and the garden was just perfect for an early evening glass of wine.
Review 6:We had a room for three people. The third bed was extremely small. The bathroom was even smaller...no room to move at all.
Review 7:The breakfast was very good and the staff very pleasant. We had a car, but the hotel was about 10 minutes walk from the town. Convenient.
Review 8:The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. There was also no air-con in the room.
Review 9:Lovely setting and great pool. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Loved the hammock.
Review 10:If I had to be really picky, The hotel does not have tea, coffee makingfacilities in your room.Being English we always had afternoon tea servedon our patio but this was charged as an extra
Review 11:The friendliness of all the staff, helpful and always so cheerful.Peaceful and relaxing and as St Remy does get busy, only a 15 minutewalk away.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Everything! This place is a gem in St Remy would definitely recommend: it is just so clean and nice and comfy we had a best sleep so far on our trip!
Review 14:Very nice small hotel with comfortable grounds and a pool. Located within walking distance of St. Remy. Quiet and comfortable. A nice breakfast is provided for nine euros per person.
Review 15:Easy 10 minute stroll to the town centre. Very calm and peaceful ambience. Very good value for money buffet breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Review 16:Nothing to dislike.
Review 17:Cleanliness and decor, small private terrace and lovely gardens and pool. Good location for walking into Remy. Staff very helpful. Although no evening meal provided hotel happy to provide cutlery plates etc for anyone wanting to eat own food in dining room. Local supermarket well stocked with food for those wanting to have their own picnic in the hotel!
Review 18:The hotel is very clean and done up with great taste..the location is good...just a 5 min ride from the centre. Carol the owner..is extremly..polite sweet and helpful.loved our stay.
Review 19:The bathroom was great and spacious, however it communicates freely with the bedroom through a big space over the door (without any cover) - this is a bit inconvenient for a longer stay.
Review 20:The location (right before entering cute little Turckheim) is perfect and the hotel is really clean and nice. The staff is uber nice and even extends the working hours of the restaurant for the hotel clients. They are very friendly and helpful. The parking was free and just across the hotel. There are many nice little places for eating nearby. Turckheim is really lovely. We had a lovely balcony facing the street also.
Review 21:A little difficult to find if a small sign in a hedge is missed, the hotel is not actually in the road named but in a turning off it.
Review 22:A modern, well run hotel with friendly helpful staff in a quiet location. An extensive well presented breakfast was available.
Review 23:Being a non-smoker we found the smoke from cigarettes very unpleasant. The people below our balcony were heavy smokers and their smoke drifted up into our room. Consequently we couldn't have out door open.also the smoke seems to circulate through the air-conditioning system. We suggest a smoking area away from the building in the garden.
Review 24:We liked our stay very much, the hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, the room very comfortable. However the smokey atmosphere was very unpleasant.
Review 25:Silly wi-fi arrangement that so many French hotels have, where you have to sign in to a central supplier with your details in order to gain access - wi fi signal also not great in bedroom, although usable.
Review 26:Location is just to the north of the town centre, it's about a 10 minute stroll into town - this makes it peaceful, and allows your dinner to settle before you go to bed! Good breakfast, friendly staff, pretty garden. Pool looks good, but visited at Easter so didn't try it.
Review 27:Only the very tiny ensuite facilities particularly the toilet!!
Review 28:The general style and lovely public areas of the hotel were very French and most attractive. The would stay there again.e Owner or manager of the hotel was very nice and very professional. W
Review 29:Wifi's so slow Breakfast too expensive for what's given
Review 30:This hotel has a very beautiful garden where birds sing and a cat plays. The inside of the hotel (where the cafeteria is) is very neat and pretty also, although rooms are quite small. Overall we had a nice stay.
Review 31:Comfortable quiet well appointed room, beautiful grounds, excellent breakfast, friendly hosts, parking, walking distance (15 min) from the centre of the town
Review 32:It is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. The rooms are small but entirely functional.
Review 33:Good location for walking into town, nice gardens and pool, breakfast on the terrace. Helpful and friendly staff, good value in a pretty expensive location. Excellent air conditioning in the room - it was silent and didn't blast cold air at you!
Review 34:Location was more than a 15 minute walk to city central. Parking lot not big enough for all guest cars. Some cars had to block other cars and had to be moved to get out. Parking in the city was very difficult and we found it easier to walk to town for shopping and dinner. This walk was fun going to town, but less fun late at night coming back to the hotel.
Review 35:Breakfast was good and reasonable. Room was clean with a good shower and good air conditioning. Staff was helpful. The room was a good value when compared to others we stayed in. The city was fun and a good place to shop and eat. It was fun to get lost on all the little side streets and find new adventures.
Review 36:Definitely not a place to stay more than one night ("in the middle of nowhere" with not much facilities).
Review 37:Free parking, free wi-fi, nice breakfast, swimming pool (was a bit chilly in Julyt though), not far from Marseille and Avignon - could be regarded as an interim stop for those travelling by car.
Review 38:Nothing whatsoever! :-)
Review 39:What an absolute gem of a hotel. We made a last minute booking for 1 night only and were extremely impressed with this lovely hotel. We were actually surprised that it was only rated as a 2 star hotel as it was charming and the decor was excellent with a really lovely homely atmosphere and lots of extra touches. The small lounge area when you first enter is so bright and spacious, with games, books etc all there to be used with an i-pod playing lovely soft music. We had an air-conditioned room which was wonderful. The air-conditioning units are all new and work exceptionally well.... and was much appreciated! The room was a reasonable sizse and the furniture itself was very new and bright, with a separate bathroom and toilet. The gardens and pool area are very well maintained. I also have to commend them on a wonderful breakfast. We now live in France (2 Brits) and we travel a lot, usually staying in 4* hotels, and I can genuinely say that for €8.50, we had the most amazing feast! Fresh fruits, melon balls, yogurts, many meats, cheeses, pates, boiled egg, breads/croissants, cakes etc.... the list was endless. Tea/coffee was also served to you and not just put out in hot water jugs. I also cannot praise the staff enough for their helpfulness and lovely happy attitude. We actually wanted to add an extra night on, but unfortunately they were fully booked. The wonderful man who was working that evening was phoning around lots of other hotels for us trying to find somewhere.......... and he did! We're going back with another couple in a few weeks for a golfing week-end as we were so impressed. I defy anybody to find a better 2* hotel than this anywhere. 10 out of 10 from us! Thank you very much!
Review 40:The rooms are a bit small. Dogs are allowed in the bedrooms. Our room had a strange smell.
Review 41:It's a very cute place, well decorated, typical Provence! The living room was beautiful and full of useful books! Our room was nice, with a balcony. The shower was great! Perfect to explore the Provence area!
Review 42:Triplet room had small cot for third bed
Review 43:Beautiful grounds, swimming pool well maintained, pleasant and helpful staff, big breakfast spread for around 10 Euro

Review 45:The rooms were so nice and clean
Review 46:A bit difficult to find but a call to the hotel solved the mystery.
Review 47:Amenities include a large, sunny breakfast area and lovely gardens and pool. Staff was very helpful and made a great dinner recommendation as well as booking a table for us.
Review 48:We didn't mind so much, but it is a short walk from the town (about 1km).
Review 49:Lovely place, beautiful setting for breakfast and a comfortable room with good air conditioning. The pool is great.
Review 50:Lovely place, esp breakfast terrace. Fun, nice staff. Good breakfast, comfortable beds, nice little balcony/terrace. Nice pool area. Great value for money.
Review 51:Hotel owners very helpful despite speaking little English. Picked us up on arrival as said taxis difficult to get for the short distance, also dropped us off to catch bus on departure. 10/10 for breakfast, everything so fresh, best quality and big variety. Place very clean and outside garden and pool delightful
Review 52:None
Review 53:Private& Quiet location. Staff was nice. The living room was cozy. It was 10-15 minutes (driving) to center of the city. There was car park in city. If you plan to go to market you should leave hotel 8.30. Because it is easier to find available car park.
Review 54:maybe a little bit too far to walk to town.
