Reviews for Hôtel de l'Image

Review 1:Wifi a little erratic However not a major problem

Review 2:We Throughly enjoyed our stay. Many cafes and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. The staff at the hotel were al very courteous and helpful and we would certainly stay at Hotel de L'Image again.

Review 3:Room was not as expected from picture on website. We were put in the old part of the hotel and were disappointed with the room. The shower was also disappointing. Pool area was quite messy and pool was freezing cold.

Review 4:Very good staff We used the spa in the sister hotel which was very good.

Review 5:We stayed in the room with the treehouse. Simply amazing. The pool is gorgeous and the location gives you easy access to restaurants, shops and the weekly market. Just lovely all around.

Review 6:Air conditioner was not good. When we complained we were told that the system was not able to cope given the demands on it in the very high temperatures. We were promptly given a fan, but a four star hotel ought to have a sound air con system!

Review 7:Lovely staff, great location, super pool and gardens.

Review 8:No moans except the water in the mini bar was not always filled up. But this was really minor.

Review 9:Location, It was like being in the countryside at the back of the hotel calm with stunning views and in the center of a bustling village when leaving the front door.

Review 10:as usual in france the hot part of breakfast was cold and inedible

Review 11:very friendly and helpful staff complemented by excellent restaurant and great location

Review 12:The grounds were in rough condition. Grass was long. Plants and shrubs are not well manicured.

Review 13:Location is excellent. Large grounds in town, but you can not tell you are in town when on property. Room is spacious and has good view of property.

Review 14:Linens on bed poor quality. Furniture in room very spartan, being charged 10€ for coffee we got ourselves.

Review 15:Excellent location, very accommodating staff. Loved the free parking.

Review 16:A fabulous place that we know since it's very first day of opening, wonderful garden, very friendly staff (special thanks to Nadja, the perfect hostess at breakfast!), a little paradise! It would be nice to reintroduce some movies in the evening in the breakfast room, a former cinema of St. Rémy.

Review 17:The only complaints I have regard the room, and I understand that the hotel is under new management and hopefully upgrading is underway. We found the mattress hard and uncomfortable. And, as a couple travelling for over 2 weeks, there was not enough closet space or hangers...not a big deal, but would have been nice. The rooms could be better, but we booked the most economical room as we didn't spend a lot of time in it

Review 18:The location was excellent. St. Remy is a great town to be based in while visiting the area. It has everything you would want...restaurants, shops, lovely people. The hotel is a 4 star as it has a pool, restaurant, bar and a spa at a location near by. The staff were gracious and attentive. It was so nice to come home to this hotel after visiting the surrounding sites...when we walked into the lobby it was a calming oasis after a hectic day.

Review 19:I loved the hôtel, it settings and right in the heart of St Remy de Provence. The staff were always very helpful and I do recommend the restaurant !!! Thank you for a few fabulous days in Provence

Review 20:Price was very high considering the hotel and room characteristics (we had a suite because it was the only room available at the time of our reservation).

Review 21:Location is great: Saint Remy is a wonderful village from where it is posible to visit most of the main tourist places in Provence and the hotel is the city centre next to plenty of very good restaurantes. Employees were very kind.

Review 22:Rough edges in the restaurant service, but food quite good, and innovative blending of favors.

Review 23:Beautiful grounds, 2 hectares, location is central to the best of st remy, yet you are in an oasis of green and lovely pool. the restaurant is named for its prime terrace real estated. theres a vegetable and herb garden, active fingredients in the chefs cuisine. Room 33 fantastic view of alpine and grounds, and spacious .

Review 24:We had a suite which had a surprisingly small balcony, compared to some of the other rooms, so we changed rooms. It's important as the view from the garden view rooms is lovely. Changing rooms was no problem.

Review 25:The position is excellent as St Remy is a charming Provincial market town with many good restaurants, cafés and shops. The service was excellent and the atmosphere around the hotel very relaxed but efficient.

Review 26:Having to leave :(

Review 27:After staying at many other places in the region I can just say that this hotel is now a favourite. It's very central and yet quiet. It looks like you've found an oasis just a stone's throw from the village. The room was very nice with a lovely view. The staff were always kind and efficient. Late check ins may not sound as good in principle, but it also gives you flexibility to later check outs. So you don't have to rush out and still have time for a coffee before packing. The pool area is secluded and quite relaxing. The breakfast is not cheap, but you have plenty of choices of everything, including fresh fruit & veg from the garden. We will definetely be back.

Review 28:The so-called "deluxe" room at Hotel l'Image was set off in a remote, maze-like building. We encountered a filthy tub and insects and malfunctioning AC. We were moved to a room that literarlly opened onto the dining room and should have been reserved for the kitchen staff, but at least the AC worked (this was mid-July). Needless to say, we left after one night. With so many hotels in and around St. Remy, this should be the last place you stay.

Review 29:For a hotel with such great facilities, we were surprised and disappointed by the size of our room - barely enough room to walk around the bed and a tiny bathroom. We also had to wait well beyond check-in time for our room to be ready.

Review 30:A lovely hotel in a great location in the heart of the town. The restaurant, bar, garden and pool were all beautiful.

Review 31:Nothing.

Review 32:A lovely hotel in a perfect setting, with it's own extensive grounds and yet very close to the town centre. The hotel provided very good accomodation and for those spacious rooms to the rear of the main building the view was quite special. The gardens provided areas where one could rest or just stroll and admire the well maintained lawn areas, flower beds, fruit & veg.gardens, water features and sculptures. Food was very good with a reasonable choice of courses, likewise with the wines. Staff were excellent.Always available for help and advice, which they provided in a most friendly and professional manner. We will revisit next year.

Review 33:Breakfast not included and felt it was pricey at 22€ - although a €10 option was available. However we took advantage of lie-ins and went out for pastry's and coffee instead!

Review 34:Modern with character Good garden and outdoor seating Nice pool Car parking Excellent location Spacious bedroom with good sized bathroom and cot bed provided with good mattress and sheets for baby DVD player available for use in room Midday checkout :-) Plenty of weekly markets to stroll around and buy from Gorgeous town with lots of character. Not too big and pretty accessible with baby buggy although baby carrier would be better on market days.

Review 35:The rooms. We only were there for one night. So hard to judge whether we got one of the "left over rooms". But this is how we unfortunately have known France middle class hotel rooms. Badly maintained. Lots of scratches on walls and doors. Very poor shower, no cabin, no curtain. Water flows everywhere. But also the use of materials (cheap wood) and they way it was painted and maintained. Due to the water excess the wooden door had been affected as well. The room just is too small. We reception area and other areas seem to have been renovated while our room felt older.

Review 36:Great location. Great bar area. Sublime restaurant setting. Nice staff

Review 37:The bathroom was pretty small.

Review 38:Perfect location in the middle of town, great views, very beautiful garden, well secluded from the buzz of the street. The swimming pool is wonderful.

Review 39:Bathroom space was tight but updated

Review 40:Great in-town location Beautiful park-like property with large pool and numerous sitting areas Good parking Nice staff Very nice breakfast

Review 41:Nothing to dislike!!

Review 42:Excellent hotel in a charming village, very convenient as a base to visit surrounding points of interest. Staff went above and beyond to help make our 4 day stay one to remember. Grounds and facilities magical(especially the various sculptures!!). Restaurant was .... there aren't enough superlatives to describe it.Some of the best meals we've ever had anywhere!

Review 43:Great place located right in the center of St.Remy, a delightful French town. We loved it!!!!

Review 44:Lovely spacious room with big balcony overlooking a huge garden and swimming pool.

Review 45:Very friendly and helpful front desk staff and assistants

Review 46:Staying in a room up a spiral staircase above the dining area.

Review 47:Bed. Bathroom. Grounds. Location. Option to open windows for fresh air. Helpful staff.

Review 48:The bed. No complimentary water.

Review 49:The location

Review 50:amenities and outdoor amenities

Review 51:Excellent size room, fab location, bit on the expensive side but worth it :)

Review 52:Relaxing hotel with good attentive staff. Will definitely go back.

Review 53:Family suite quite dark and dismal. Furniture felt more IKEA than design hotel.

Review 54:Great pool.

Review 55:Wonderful! 3rd stay and will come again. The expansive inner courtyard is a marvel

Review 56:The closing time for lunch is too early 2 pm when you are on holiday; It should be 3pm

Review 57:Accueille. Location. Style of decoration. Accommodation.

Review 58:Air conditioning wasn't working as well as it should making it difficult to sleep due to the heat.

Review 59:Mosquitoes!

Review 60:Large bedroom, attentative staff, always smiling, proximity of both town and country, swimming pool.

Review 61:Enjoyed spending time in the common areas relaxing with friends drinking wine and enjoying the beautiful location.

Review 62:would have liked a softer bed

Review 63:location, cleanliness, beautiful garden, pool, excellent breakfast

Review 64:we have stayed here before and its wonderful location in heart of SRdP, and the garden is a secret Oasis.

Review 65:Good location. Beautiful gardens. Clean rooms . Helpful staff.

Review 66:The hotel was in the center of St Remy, with a beautiful garden directly behind the house. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Review 67:Hotel facilities, including the pool. Great landscaped grounds and fabulous view.

Review 68:Location, staff, room, grounds, parking and breakfast.

Review 69:Too little time there.

Review 70:We enjoyed relaxing in our room after touring Provence each day. I'Image was a great way to begin and end the day.

Review 71:No elevator,no coffe in room or in lobby,as should be in such hotel

Review 72:Location,staff,outdoor

Review 73:The wifi was temperamental during our stay.

Review 74:The gardens, the bar, the staff, the lovely bed, the shower, the location in town. Room 26

Review 75:We stayed in the treehouse suite. Very romantic, beautiful views and comfortable.

Review 76:Nothing!

Review 77:Everything! Beautiful facilities, the best restaurant in town, extraordinary staff polite, helpful etc. A corner of heaven in a busy town.

Review 78:Our room had a very tired bathroom with shower over bath which leaked all over wall and floor!

Review 79:Food was very good and position perfect.

Review 80:Nothing

Review 81:Everything. Location, amenities, staff, cleanliness, restaurant for breakfast and dinner, parking.

Review 82:Some of the rooms rather small

Review 83:It is advertised to have air conditioning but there was none in ourroom. They told us that there was a part that needed to be replaced andwas ordered. We really think they had not yet turned on the main air forthe hotel. Fortunately we had a large balcony with doors we could leaveopen and they did provide a fan.

Review 84:This is a beautiful hotel with a very pleasant staff and gorgeousgrounds. Surprising for its location in the heart of St. Remy.

Review 85:Décor is cold.

Review 86:Location. Friendly staff. As soon as they learned that I speak some French, they all spoke to me in French, although I'm sure they all spoke English very well; ie, they created a French experience, not an English experience in France.

Review 87:Breakfast not included and considered to be not value for money.

Review 88:Location in town. Quiet and relaxing with view over beautiful garden. Very interesting town and surrounding countryside.

Review 89:Wasnt clear on the access to the gym but small issue.

Review 90:Lovely location in heart of the town with a lovely garden and pool. Perfect to local sights in walking distance. Also very quiet with off street parking. Would stay again.

Review 91:Our room did not lock properly and was left open by the cleaning staff (not just unlocked). Since a new lock needed to be ordered, it was not fixed during our stay. Once we found this out, it was ok. The breakfast service one day was horrible because the staff was overwhelmed by a group of about 20 people. Although a buffet, they did not seem to have enough of everything and were quite unorganized.

Review 92:Fabulous garden and pool. Kind staff.

Review 93:Nothing, it was great and we would return in a heartbeat!

Review 94:The grounds, pool, garden and terraces are beautiful and well maintained.. An oasis hidden from the street.

Review 95:Breakfast was overpriced so we opted to find our own which was not easy but then we were looking for a more English style breakfast.

Review 96:The staff was excellent, facilities were clean and comfortable and the garden and outdoor areas were very relaxing. We wish we had booked a couple more days. Sr. Remy is a delightful little town from which to explore the other areas of Provence.

Review 97:This is a fantastic hotel, well located in the centre of town with private secure parking. Fabulous gardens where you would think that you were in the country. Bedroom was superb with a splendid view over the gardens to mountains in the distance. Excellent restaurant for dinner and a superb buffet breakfast. But it is the brilliant staff that set this hotel apart. They are absolutely delightful, attentive, smiling, happy. Nothing was too much trouble. I could not recommend it highly enough.

Review 98:Our bedroom (not in the main building) was a bit small.

Review 99:Amazing hotel: great location in the middle of town+ free parking. Helpful and friendly staff. Superb breakfast. quiet and well-kept, in a beautiful blooming garden. Will try to return.

Review 100:nothing.

Review 101:The staff was THE BEST. Everyone was so attentive, so efficient, so friendly and so charming. We loved the staff. The room was amazing, just beautiful, with a very lovely view out the back. The location was so excellent, right in the heart of this cute small town. One of our favorite hotel experiences ever, anywhere.

Review 102:The fact that there was no coffee pot in the room.

Review 103:Location inside the center city was easy and convenient to everything in St. Remy. Parking was ample and easy. The view from the room's terrace into the back garden area and Alpilles mountains was beautiful and made you feel as if you were in the country. Staff were extremely pleasant and friendly.

Review 104:we asked hotel give us a knife to use.they said they cann't give us knife because we were not take a room service.if you want use knife you must buy food they siad

Review 105:Breakfast at 19 Euros each was very expensive. Go to the cafe next door and enjoy a typical petit dejeuner for 6 Euros!

Review 106:Excellent setting right in the centre of attractive little Provence market town of St Remy so well placed for eating out and wandering in the town and for visiting the area. Superior rooms very spacious with amazing bathroom and wonderful semi-covered terrace overlooking the pool and gardens.

Review 107:The room standard double rooms were too small. Ttere was no fridge and no drinking glasses in the room. We should have been warned about the noise of the frogs in the evening.

Review 108:the pool area and grounds were good

Review 109:A lot of things - the shower is desperate and we had a suite. The safe didn't work and they made no effort to fix it or to give us a discount. The room is tacky and there is no fridge or coffee/tea machine. We had stayed in a Relais Chateaux the night before at half the price and it was twice better.

Review 110:Good location for staying in St. Remy

Review 111:Location in town centre excellent, Room/furnishings needed to be renovated to maintain 4* quality and bottle of water should be provided in room. Breakfast was we thought too expensive when you could get more choice from the local eateries at half the cost in more interesting surroundings.

Review 112:A very lovely boutique hotel with good design. Rooms in the side building have a nice view of Provencial houses next to the hotel whereas rooms in the main building have a view of the hotel garden. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location, close to restaurants and shops. It even has a private parking. The hotel has quite a large compound inside. It also has a good-sized swimming pool.

Review 113:I think they could install fridges in the rooms as there is nothing andalso no glasses For drinking water or othernout of. Very noisy pond fullof frogs right next to then Restaurant and rooms so incredibly Noisy atnight which is such a pity in so tranquil a setting.

Review 114:Great location. Second stay. Staff very helpful. Good value.

Review 115:We had no complaints.

Review 116:Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Without hesitation we would stay here again.

Review 117:No complaints at all.

Review 118:Room was lovely. Grounds were beautiful. Felt very private but was very convenient to restaurants, etc.

Review 119:Breakfast

Review 120:Luxury and location

Review 121:€22 per person is a bit pricey for breakfast.

Review 122:Staff were helpful and the hotel was great value for money.

Review 123:Excellent staff; attention to concerns and helpfullness with area questions
