Review 1：Could be a little cleaner in the bathroom. A noisy fan or something like that which was on going most of the night.

Review 3：The staff is very helpfull and always kind. They told us of all the things to visit. We were in England for a meditation retreat and booked a quiet place. This place was that very quiet and friendly. We will be back. The service was real good. We really enjoyed the staff. Very helpfull and kind.

Review 14：Old hotel in need of extensive modernisation. Bit pricey for what was given. Central heating was switched off at night time and could not turn on. Id only booked the place en route and owner calls up 30 mins later asking me when Well be there. Told him we have stopped over for a bite to eat. He said reception is not 24 hours and could we reach there ASAP please. When we got there we had to really knock. He eventually opened up but told us if wed been 5 mins late he'd have gone to bed! Old carpet in rooms and generally place needs radical overhaul to modernise. Pretty basic and somewhat expensive for what we paid.

Carpeted flooring causing smell when showerroom door had been closed. Overall it looks kike it had been dacorated and furnished in the late 60s or 70s and nothing done since..it defiantly can not be classed above 2* family run business and only encounted one person doing reception bar breakfast. Reported wardrobe door hanging off and this one person said he would fix it when he was doing the rooms, not surprisingly he didn't get round doing it.Sadly with all his good intentions it is to much to handle without other staff.I would say this hotel is suitable for workers needing a bed and breakfast only. With 4* hotels in the town with good clean modern roomsi would not go here again.we triied it because our usual hotel we use didnt have a room available when wr needed it

Review 49：This was the second night I had stayed in this location, butunfortunately the b and b I stayed at only had availability for the onenight so I was forced to find anther hotel for my last night Inbarrow.the first hotel I stayed in was cheap and cheerful, the staffwere very helpful and the room and breakfast were both very good value,I only wish I could say the same for the Michelson House Hotel. The roomvas tiny, poorly decorated and very very dated.as I work in constructionI rely on a hearty breakfast to kick-off my day, but unfortunately I gotanything but!! I ordered poached eggs, bacon on brown toast but theportion was so small it was served on a side plate!!! All in all for £55per night for a singe room was at best bad value for money and needlessto say if I ever stay in barrow in Furness again I will in no way stayat this hotel again, I would rather sleep in the back of my van!!!!
