Review 10：The room was dirty and damp. I was disgusted that we were expected to sleep in a room that was so unclean. The windows were covered in muck, the windowsills thick with dust and the ceilings had damp seeping in at the corners. We were so dissappointed with the location and cleanliness that we did not feel happy to sleep there and so found somewhere more suitable at the last minute for a cheaper price.

Review 14：Restaurant advertised as serving till 9 but actually shut at 8.30, only food option for someone arriving late was a Chinese across the road which I ate in my room. Room had unpainted door and no bedside lamp and was single bed. Thin curtains. Wifi patchy at best.

Review 29：The carpet in the room was not cleaned properly , there was debris on it when we arrived. We even found the spare room key under one of ghe bed side cabinets... On 3rd night the hot water stopped working and no one even said anything to us when we got back to the hotel from hiking in the evening. It wasnt working on the next morning either and no one even offered an appology or explanation untill we asked about it just before breakfast. On the check out we have been asked to pay the full price like nothing happened .... We have asked for discount and the lady at reception just starred at computer for good few minutes before giving us £15 reduction. Saturday night was a bit loud as there was a disco in the bar downstairs . You could hear the base up in the room. Bring the earplugs & you will be fine ;) All in all, good value for money but lacking attention to details & better communication with guest regarding mainenence issues would be much appreciated.

Review 111：We spent one night at the Royal Hotel and really enjoyed it. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was lovely and the menu was great, lots of choices. The breakfast the next morning was wonderful. We'd definately stay there again.

Review 112：We stayed at this hotel for valentines night; it was in the middle off nowhere. There was nowhere to park my car, even though online it says there's a car park available, the area was very scruffy and felt worried about leaving my car on the car park around the corner i was told that's where I could leave it. From the outside the building looked horrid. We waited for around 20 minutes at the reception area, even after ringing the bell. We stayed in our room for the whole day and night, and when we went down for breakfast the morning after was greated with 'your not stopping for breakfast are you, there's no room it's manic down there'.. Was made to feel uncomfortable.

Review 115：Horrible hotel! Worst experience in hotel ever. It would seem entrance is an attraction spot for teens smoking illegal substances! The advertised refurbishment is over stated. Fresh carpet that's it. Windows in public areas cracked duck taped up, fire exit left open at bottom of stairs, bathroom unfinished, stains on walls, tea cup stuck to dresser and smoke alarm covered with toilet paper?! Reported the smoke alarm day one... Still same when I checked out. There's a public bar on ground floor which is very loud. Breakfast is juice, cornflakes & cooked breakfast is provided if waiter/ess is about. Location of hotel is in poor area.

Review 119：I really didn't like the loud Karaoke party from directly underneath my room. I would recommend to not let people stay over the bar if there is any other free room. Stopped at around 11 though, so even that was bearable.

Review 120：This Hotel just seemed to have changed owners or underwent a complete renovation as in the rooms. Therefor the rooms looked nice and fresh. Apart from the everything outside the rooms was really improvised and understaffed to say the least. They had great breakfast but we had to catch the cook in the kitchen :) I think, if someone puts a bit more thoughts into these kind of things, it could be a nice hotel. Apart from that, clean and nice and a bit of a "abandoned" area, which was fine for me as I was there to get a good nights sleep.
