Reviews for Hotel Residence Europe

Review 1:The elevator works too slowly specially when the hotel is full, I would really recommend changing the system because it is too old. The general service is good but the hotel remains a bit too expensive.

Review 2:4 flights of winding narrow staircase is very tiring. No ac. When open windows to air the apartment, noisy traffic and sirens. 15m walk from train station over cobbled paths

Review 3:Spa after a long walk

Review 4:No left for the apartment

Review 5:Hotel is good based on its price , you will get the basic and price is reasonable staff are helpful , metro station is 10 minutes walk

Review 6:We asked for a quiet room away from the lifts and we had a room next to the stairs on the ground floor so were disturbed everytime someone used the stairs! We were in the adjacent building and at 9.00 the only food left for breakfast were 2 rolls!!!

Review 7:The secure parking area

Review 8:Only french programms in the television. Nowadays it is very strange.

Review 9:Very nice and helpfull staff. Apartment with fully equipped kitchen. Comfottable beds.

Review 10:Air con wasn't very good Poor clothes hanging space

Review 11:Staff really welcoming and friendly Thankyou. Pool very nice 10 mins walk to the metro with direct line to central Paris.

Review 12:Pool was nice, good location for transit, including direct train to nanterre. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Residential area with basic shops and restaurants nearby.

Review 13:paid fortune for 1 night tiny room for the money paid.. toilet was like a small box you cant even sit on the seat... no tub in the toilet .. breakfast below average no kettle no tea bags in the room u can even walk in that..

Review 14:well...its a below average hotel...

Review 15:Morning reception was snotty and told me that the booked taxi did not come ... as this is Paris Madam! Was quite easy to hail on the street. Not recommended for int. business travellers. Take Ibis if you're on tight budgets.

Review 16:Night reception very accommodating. However bar/late night snack service for tired business travellers not an option.

Review 17:We drove to Paris and then flew out so the location was perfect- 20 minutes south of CDG for our departing flight and just outside of hectic center Paris-- short walk to Metro was only 10 minutes and area felt safe-- The pool was excellent- No complaints here-- very happy..

Review 18:Aircon didn't work on cool setting.

Review 19:I'm a light sleeper and heard no noise from any other rooms. Our room was not on the main road so there very little traffic noise so could have windows open for ventilation. Metro only 10 mins walk away.

Review 20:the loo was tiny and very difficult to get in and out of.

Review 21:clean and comfortable and secure parking substantial breakfast and plenty of eateries close by. About 10min walk to nearest metro.

Review 22:Very helpful front of house staff with clear communications on facilities and services. Lots to make you feel at home and newly refurbished rooms. I forgot a charger and they were more than happy to lend one. Convenient for local St Ouen businesses and good simple level of comfort and cleanliness - Good wifi and TV but lack of news channels strangely. Breakfast simple but sufficient with a bright dining area. A good crowd of business and leisure making a single traveller feel secure.

Review 23:Room was amazingly hot all night, even with air con on. Breakfast really isnt worth ten euros. Also the pool was cold and the hot tub only slightly warmer. Towels were a bit hit and miss by the pool too.

Review 24:Room was fab, bit small but comfy beds and spotless. Bathroom was lovely. Staff were very helpful, advising on good places to eat etc. Would stay there again.

Review 25:Double bed, a bit too small. Room: small as well. Lacking of a fridge (even a small one...) The separation of showers and sauna with the swimming pool and jacuzzi. In order to go to sauna you need to cross the fitness area, in a cold air...

Review 26:The Spa. Large swimming pool, hot sauna, warm jacuzzi. Fitness equipments. The existence of a private parking in reasonable price. The park nearby.

Review 27:Very bad smell in hallway (not clean). No light in the hallway/stairs. Housecleening comes by one hour before check out time. Breakfast not ideally set up (long waiting).

Review 28:Service of frontdesk employees. Facilities.

Review 29:As before..........the Location........everything else was spot on

Review 30:EVERYTHING...........But not the location which does not reflect on the hotel at all........its just a cheaper option than being in the middle of paris

Review 31:The rooms are too small and basic. No channels aoart from the news is in english. Plugs are not english friendly.

Review 32:Hotel was good for the money. If its a sightseeing holiday. Location is not very scenic but ok. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 33:Apartment was fantastic, very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend this hotel again and again. Easy metro service to Paris and Disney land.

Review 34:- toilet and WC very, very small (you cannot close the door if you sit on the WC) - apartment in a different building not connected directly with the hotel and the swimming pool (we were unable to use it) - the apartment is dirty (we found some hairs in the bed); nobody cleans the apartment during your stay - furnitures almost dated and ruined by users

Review 35:almost nothing; only the microwave was useful

Review 36:Lobby area was very un-impressive. Staff were irritating: thought it was amusing to pretend there wasn't a pool, pretend to keep my credit card, etc.

Review 37:Room was comfortable, good bathroom. Pool wasn't bad.

Review 38:room extremely small. no cupboard even. air condition was out of order and they rented room while they knew its not working. rough attitude of employees.

Review 39:location was good cause it was close to hopital beaujent that was our target

Review 40:Rooms were really hot.

Review 41:Staff were lovely and really helpful.

Review 42:I jus loved the staff at the point that I'll send a gift to the guy at the counter next time I'm in Paris.

Review 43:separate toilet from the rest of the bathroom

Review 44:ALL

Review 45:nothing

Review 46:all was great

Review 47:Close to the metro to reach any place in Paris. Swimming pool and gym. Price to service

Review 48:Nice friendly staff (sometimes a bit too friendly, I'm afraid). Nice pool and gym.

Review 49:Location is very good to access underground and Central Paris.

Review 64:Small double bed

Review 65:great location of hotel and the parking lot really helps in the built up area. The staff can't help you enough..

Review 66:everything

Review 67:Wifi didn't work. Far from metro

Review 68:Brand new room

Review 69:Breakfast was not value for the money

Review 70:Most of the staff could speak English and was very helpful

Review 71:Overcharging, hidden costs like breakfast

Review 72:Nothing

Review 73:Everything was fine.

Review 74:The metro was nearby, staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable.

Review 75:The kids didn't enjoy the pool as water was too cold, and the pool was one of the main reason why we stayed there

Review 76:Helpful and friendly staff

Review 77:No problems.

Review 78:Been to this hotel twice now, very friendly staff and great facilities! Highly recommended.

Review 79:Good location, very friendly staff

Review 80:Not a lot in the area in the evening

Review 81:Good facility, clean, nice staff, good breakfast.

Review 82:Pool/gym/sauna

Review 83:Risk that you can put in a room at the hotels sister hotel which is some streets away.

Review 84:Friendly, comfortable, value for money

Review 85:Very small rooms and away from Paris central.

Review 86:Swimming pool and jacuzzi.

Review 87:not extremely well located

Review 88:Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very good windows with double glazing so no street noise could be heard during the night

Review 89:Swimming pool was open not every day. Has no the electric kettle and a bar in the room. Wi-fi is almost no and a very low speed.

Review 90:Safe district. Near the subway. Near park and shops. Overall, it was very good trip!

Review 91:Nice staff, helpful, hotel is ok no great views or anything but for our purposes it was the location that ws teh best for us meaning we didnt have to drive into central Paris....

Review 92:It's north of the city, about 8 minutes from the Mairie de Clichy metro line. So, our studio apartment was quiet at night, close to town, and had an amazing breakfast. As a cyclist, I appreciated being able to train in the morning. My deepest thanks to the hotel staff for letting me into the fitness centre a few minutes early each morning.

Review 93:Depends on what you pick this hotel for I suppose but the one thing that didn't work was the air con but like good Brits we just put up with it.

Review 94:Second stay here in successive years. Our needs were basic as we were competing in the annual marathon but this hotel is a little diamond in the rough. Clichy is not the most picturesque of suburbs but the hotel makes up for this with its excellent spa and gym facilities and savings on the more central locations. Staff are always helpful and the rooms are all being refurbished, which was more evident last year. Metro stations are a few minutes walk and Place De Clichy just three stops away for all your evening needs. Probably more of an out and about couples kind of place rather than a family hotel but that is just my personal view. One of those places you want to keep to yourself.....Doh!

Review 95:Breakfast seemed overpriced even with Booking.com Wake up call failed, but not really a problem.

Review 96:Pool looked nice, though I didn't have a swim suit. Staff wasrespoinsive to questiions.

Review 97:Small detail, no elevators and had to climb 5 flights of stairs to get to room.

Review 98:Extremely helpful and friendly staff, clean rooms with enough space, great facilities that were usually free (swimming pool, hot tub). The hotel also provided us with free breakfast. Really pleased with the service all around.

Review 99:1. The rooms are tooooo small, no view. As soon as you get in, you feel like you want to get out, since it is so small. 2. I just got a very depressing feeling while walking towards the room. Just seems too crowded with so many doors, and very narrow walkways.

Review 100:1. I liked that the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Though I did not need anything special to really test their service, but I had a good feeling while check-in, and had a smooth checkout. 2. Even though the hotel is old, the furnishings are well maintained and does not give a old hotel feel.

Review 101:Hotel location is on the 13 line of the Metro which gets very very crowded at odd times in the day and night. Push your companion's butt into the mass of humans kind of crowded.

Review 102:It's hard to find a hotel like this near this pricepoint in Paris, and especially hard to get a pool, hot tub, sauna combo at this pricepoint. The staff is at the desk 24/7, you can ask them for a drink or a coffee in those hours. Rooms are roomy by Paris standards tho please read other reviews on Paris rooms to get a feel for that.

Review 103:Certain hotel staff had issues with dealing with guests. It seemed that towels were heavily controlled items. When top prices are paid for the hotel a guest should have as many towels he or she wishes. Additionally the breakfast was so ridiculous that it was not worth paying for. All in all a poorly managed hotel. Only when everything is in good working condition that a hotel should exert rules on guests. My next trip to Paris will be in a different hotel. I definitely overpaid!

Review 104:Great location. When managed properly this hotel has the potential to be a great destination. It seemed some staff had some customer service experience. But all should go through the same course.

Review 105:I think that would be important for any guest, we find at least a microwave available into the rooms.

Review 106:The team that works at the Hotel are very friendly and they are always available to help.

Review 107:was a fair way out from the city centre, and about a 10 minute walk from the nearest metro station. Breakfast was a basic continental type, with no variation from day to day

Review 108:was a very clean, friendly and comfortable hotel. Staff were more than happy to assist if required

Review 109:The water in the bathroom spread everywhere, which made it dangerous and difficult. We had been told that we could store our bikes securely - they were outside, locked to a drainpipe - less than ideal.

Review 110:Good staff - helpful. Reasonable location.

Review 111:No elevator and we got a 5th floor apartment. Not much use of thejacuzzi since it was in another building and the weather was very coldoutside. Far walk from the metro.

Review 112:Daniel at the front desk, very helpful and nice. The apartment wascomfortable and clean. Jacuzzi was fine.

Review 113:73 steps :). We were in a suite on the 4th floor. No lifts. It's not a complaint. It's a reality I new coming in

Review 114:The staff were fun and very helpful. Suite is all ikea. Comfortable. No complaints

Review 115:The rooms are too small and the variety of items in the breakfast is poor and that they dont serve any other meals or snacks

Review 116:The staff is really great and helpful and cooperative, and they speak fluent English, the hotel is very clean, the location is great and is surronded by variety of resturants and bars and supermarkets and other shops and services.

Review 117:room was small and unfinished lift was cramped and dirty not enough staff on to service bar and customers location is not great

Review 118:Staff were helpful Hotel has a pool

Review 119:Internet was not working in my room during the whole duration of mystay, 4 days - I had to use my computer at the bar if I wanted to useinternet and that was awful. It is during my first night that I realizedI could not access internet in my room and reported it to the nightstaff but he was almost arrogant claiming that was not their faultbecause all the rooms on my floor had internet. Nobody could helpresolve that issue or nobody simply didnt care.

Review 120:The day staff was very nice, well-mannered and courteous. They were veryhelpful in arranging a late departure for me at no cost. They were alsokeen to assist with directions and places of interest.

Review 121:Nothing - we loved it!

Review 122:As a family of four, we chose an apartment as we were staying for five nights. On checking-in, they included breakfast for us every morning! Staff were fantastic and very friendly. Facilities were ideal. Value for money for a family it was ideal and we would highly recommend it.

Review 123:No restaurant facilities other than breakfast

Review 124:Location, budget friendly, staff, value, cleanliness, Pool, Gym, free WIFI, proximity to restaurants, quiet

Review 125:Service: my room was located in another building than reception, round the corner of the street and I would expect some help with my hell of a suitcase on a cobblestone pavement in a pouring rain instead of just being escorted. The pool and stuff were in the other buidling, so no convenient access.

Review 126:Good location (for my office access and metro), nice size of the room (much bigger than usual Paris tiny one), clean, all amenities. Very good price.

Review 127:No tea coffee making facilities in room.A Small quibble.

Review 128:Friendly reception from first arrival. My 7 year old son was given anhotel card to keep in his pocket in the event that we were separated itwas explained to him that he should get a taxi to the hotel use the cardfor the driver the hotel would pay the fare and contact me .I travel alot with my son and this is the first time ever I've come across such anidea.BRILLIANT!!!! Location was outside hustle and bustle of centralParis but easily accessible by rer and metro.Pool was great Breakfastwas adequate

Review 129:Hotel room was hot even with heating off. Hotel is a long walk from the Metro station especially when you have to carry luggage

Review 130:Good shops near by including excellent patisteries. Pool and Saunacwere good and staff were helpful

Review 131:the hotel was far from the city center and the attractions of city. also the metro station had very distance from the hotel. the size of room was a little small for a double room.

Review 132:value of money for this hotel was good. the sona and jacuzy also was very nice. the staff were polite and helpful.

Review 133:The carpets in the room.

Review 134:We were thoroughly pleased with the helpful staff. They were all veryaccommodating and willing to go out of their way to be of assistance.Considering the location of the hotel, it was very quiet when the windows were closed.

Review 135:The walls are fairly thin and the floors a bit creaky, so potentially you hear a bit of your neighbours, although this wasn't too bad during my stay. Minor point, only French speaking telly (but then one doesn't go to Paris to watch telly..).

Review 136:I stayed in a studio which was located in a quiet side street off the main road. The studio was well equipped and comprised of a spacious kitchen/dining area, a clean and new bathroom, and a smallish living area with fold away bed and a spacious desk. Everything worked well, and was new and clean. Hotel staff were welcoming and relaxed. The location is great if you want to be out of tourist buzzle, yet still want the atmosphere of a Parisian neigbourhood with a nice local square, a variety of local shops, such as a chocolaterie, boulangerie, deli, supermarkets and various brasseries and small restaurants/take aways. The pool (albeit only about 4 by 5 meter) and sauna were a bonus.

The Fine Print

If you intend to arrive after midnight, please contact the hotel in advance. Please note that the studios and apartments are located from the 1st to 5th floor, and are not accessible by an elevator.
