Reviews for Hotel Hélios
Review 1:This hotel was good value for money and the staff were friendly and helpful. The gardens were pretty and there was excellent parking. The more expensive rooms facing the garden and pool were a good choice to make. It was good to be away from the lively and noisy centre of Cap d'Agde which was only a five minute drive away. It was a pleasant stay
Review 2:No restaurant, you need to order your breakfast in advance. Some outdated furniture and bathroom equipment.
Review 3:Location, you can go by foot to the beach. Staff was gentle and available. Guarded parking.
Review 4:Excellent location and really good value. We were a family of 4 with teenage children - the room was big enough with a separate room for the children. The pool area was spotless and a really nice setting. Staff were very helpful. All round excellent value for money
Review 5:Lousy wifi. Staff would not change my room because it was "basic" and they were full up. 45 minute walk to naturiste village, though the staff had said 15-30 minutes.
Review 6:The room was available in peak season. Walkable to restaurants and luna park.
Review 7:The maid forgot to leave toilet paper one day out of four during our stay.
Review 8:The reception is available 24/24h a real plus for coming and going at all hours.
Review 9:Very quiet location. Staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. The whole of the hotel was very well maintained and pristine. A very enjoyable stay, would thoroughly recommend.
Review 10:A bit far from the beach and the city center. Need to take the car
Review 11:Value for money. Nice pool, quiet area with free parking. 24 hours staff. Friendly staff. Overall setting and building, only 2 storeys...nice Provence style.
Review 12:I had requested coffee making facilities when I booked on line, so I was disappointed to be told they did not provide such a service when I arrived. Why give you the option if there is not one?
Review 13:Very friendly and helpful staff, The location was good for beaches and shops, on a very good and reliable bus route.
Review 14:No tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms.
Review 15:Quiet location but very short walk to the marina, shops and restaurants. Part of the huge development of Cap D'Agde designed and built in the in the 60's and 70's. Of its time and run simply to compliment the architecture of its time. Plenty of space in the room and everything worked. Great comfortable bed, good bathroom all kept spotlessly clean by attentive staff.
Review 16:The room and bathroom were cramped. Wi Fi was intermitent in the room but fine in public areas
Review 17:Convenience for the town. Car parking is free, spacious and secure. Breakfast was good value
Review 18:nothing to dislike its a 3 star hotel and delivers what it says. If I was going to be critical - the room decor is to my taste.
Review 19:Free and speedy wifi Location Parking Access to all Friendly staff Daily clean and change of towels etc
Review 20:the room was very small, the bathroom smelled bad and also very small. The cleanliness of the room is terrible, and if you dare to look under the bed you'll be surprised by the amount of dust and dirt there. The wifi connection is very weak. We ordered a bed for my baby and there was no longer available. It has very poor access to swimmingpool if carrying a baby carriage as in my case.
Review 21:The breakfast it was delicious
Review 22:Having stayed here twice before I knew what the hotel was like. Highly recommended, nice quiet location, lovely pool and gardens. Helpful and pleasant staff.
Review 23:very quiet.pleasant hotel
Review 24:Very friendly staff and very well situated.
Review 25:Food although only snacks could have been better
Review 26:Smallest room I've ever seen, looked like a motel from the1960's, absolutely nothing like thebpictures
Review 27:Nothing
Review 28:Bed very uncomfortable.
Review 29:StFf very helpful
Review 30:Bed was about too hard and small TV.
Review 31:The breakfast, swimming pool and staff attitude
Review 32:Bad internet connection!!!!!!
Review 33:Close to the harbour
Review 34:a little far away from naturist village
Review 35:very nice staff
Review 36:Piscine chaufée staff excellent
Review 37:Excessive price
Review 38:Family room with seperate kids room and outside terrace Short walk to port
Review 39:Perfect location. Ample parking. Good breakfast.
Review 40:Need wi-fi in sleeping rooms.
Review 41:Very beautiful outdoor lounge and pool area. Excellent breakfast. Wonderful and helpful staff.
Review 42:Shower hose broken and not high enough . No coffee making facilities in room .
Review 43:10€ for breakfast, cheaper down on the marina
Review 44:What a lovely hotel - an easy ten minute walk from there to the marina and so peaceful. We will definitely stay there again.
Review 45:When I was offered the 55€ room, I did not realise that because it was 'cheap' it would therefore be noisy (from the main road behind).
Review 46:In general, HELIOS is a pleasant, well-run hotel.
Review 47:could improve room : ackward hanging of outfits in the cupboard, some painting needed on walls. Mosquitoes bites : should have a screen on the door to garden some noise from nearby road traffic could be attenuated by having a higher screen fence
Review 48:Cheerful welcome, kindness of personnel, location close to town, excellent breakfast buffet, nice hotel surrendings with a good looking garden.
Review 49:We'd read in another review that it was possible to borrow a towel for the beach. It actually wasn't possible though they were very nice about saying no. This wasn't too much of a problem for us but other people ought to know.
Review 50:Staff were great - so friendly and helpful. Beautiful well-kept grounds. Our first floor room overlooked the lovely pool and trees and had a massive bed. Lots of hot water. Spotlessly clean. We had breakfast twice which was very good. When our bill came it stated we'd had 4 breakfasts but they very quickly sorted this out so it wasn't embarrassing. The area around the hotel is very quiet but we always felt safe and it is only a few minutes walk to the port at Cap d'Agde.
Review 51:Late room clean on at least one day; no English language channels on TV (which was rather small); fridge was badly designed and hardly had space for much. Light on air con unit practically lit up whole room at night; might be covered.
Review 52:Very comfortable hotel, with small but usable swimming pool. Close to centre of Cap d'Agde; good parking facilities; comfortable room; friendly manager; working bathroom
Review 53:We wer pleasently surprised and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We stayed her for 5 days as part of a 2 week long road trip. Thi was the childrens favourite hotel because of bunk beds, lovely pool and nice breakfast. Excellent location - walking distance from port, restaurants etc but not too close so nice and quiet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very cosy feel, we had a great time and very sad to leave. Short drive (5 minutes) to lovely beaches.
Review 54:The staff were superb. There was a mix up with our booking and it was sorted straight away. Great location. Breakfast lovely. Pool was great for the kids.
Review 55:We were so pleasantly surprised. It was really great value for money. The owner & staff took really good care of us, it was friendly, very clean & the location was superb: close to everything yet situated slightly away to avoid noise. Gorgeous pool. We are definitely coming again. PS: something extra, that just shows the friendliness, was: as we were checking out we realised that we had forgotten to post my son's postcards for his friends & the owner said he'd be happy to do it! It was always small friendly things like this at Helios hotel.
Review 56:No wi-FI access in the room although very good in public areas.
Review 57:The location is very good with easy access to the main areas of cap D'Agde. Plenty of car parking
Review 58:- Rooms are a bit small - No place to hang beach towels - furniture are a bit old (and noisy :) - sound isolation are insufficient, so you can hear people talking (and doing other stuff as well) on the other side of the wall quite clear and loud - coffee machine
Review 59:+ Location (a bit aside from the city center, quiet, in the garden), + friendly and helpful staff, + free WiFi (excellent signal quality and speed), + good and fresh breakfast (paid extra) + air-conditioned rooms + nice pool
Review 60:Rooms a bit small and with problems to get the door locked. Ice cold water at the swimming pool, the coldest I have ever felt on a hotel.
Review 61:Peaceful area, big and nice parking, very kind staff, good working wifi and air conditioner. Old looking but cozy hotel with a enjoyable swimming pool. Very relaxed atmosphere.
Review 62:No comfort at all. The bathroom is old and narrow, very uncomfortable. The staff seems not to be very capable. Little bit or nothing when itcomes to talk to us in english. Very low value for money. Expensive roomfor what you get.
Review 63:The swimming pool is nice, just that.
Review 64:The hotell is a little bit old and should be freshened up a bit. Thebreakfast buffet was no good, with poor selection of food. Thecoffeemaker was not working.
Review 65:The Helios has a good location close to the port. I like the fact thatthey have a pool, and they have a friendly staff.
Review 66:Nice location, close to the centrum of Cap d'Agde. Parking-free-inside Nice swimming pool and garden -including play ground for children Good breakfast at affordable price (9 E) Everything working well in the clean and nice (relatively small as often in france) room Kind staff
Review 67:A bit away from everything: 10 minutes walk from the Port and a shortcar ride from the beaches. The other side of the coin is that it is in apeaceful residential area.
Review 68:No hassle access and plenty of on site parking space. Pleasant quiethotel with all the basics taken care of. Friendly and helpful staff.
Review 69:The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The location made walking to the port very easy via the various pedestrian avenues etc. The pool was great. Our party was made up of 2 mothers with teenage girls and we all felt safe and secure and will most definitely be returning soon. The hotel rooms were not large but were adequate with everything you could need eg safe, wifi, tv, fridge.
Review 70:Rooms are a little small but fine.
Review 71:This was our second stay here and it is a very nice comfortable smallhotel in a good location and within walking distance to restaurantsetc. Very friendly and helpful staff (who noticed my wife had left herhandbag with money cards etc lying out in the garden!). Breakfast istypical French, croissant, fruit, juice, jam, ham, cheese etc and finefor us. Overall very restful atmosphere. Nice pool to read by. Willstay again.
Review 72:Room is bit small. It feels like a hotel.
Review 73:Near to the port. nice staff. new and clean, nice garden, relaxing place.
Review 74:When it started to rain, the owner lent us his personal umbrella so we could walk to dinner.
Review 75:Owner is friendly Quite location Staff are polite Nice gardens Pool
Review 76:no tea making facility in room and not permitted to take tea from reception to room

Review 79:Expensive breakfast
Review 80:Friendly staff
Review 81:From description had assumed booking apartment, that needs to be made clearer.
Review 82:Very friendly, great pool, close to port.
Review 83:I think Helios is too expensive for what it is - the room was relative small, the bed could have beeen better ...
Review 84:The pool.
Review 85:It was over-priced for what it was.
Review 86:It was a charming, clean and comfortable place to stay. Typically French with eclectic decor.
Review 87:Hard bed mattress. no covering of the linoleum floor.
Review 88:Good location, friendly staff, clean, tasteful and calm.
Review 89:The price is a little high.
Review 90:staff are very nice.
Review 91:Location and pool
