Reviews for Hôtel l'Arapède
Review 1:No fault of this property but The community has grown too much since our last visit, I doubt that we'd return
Review 2:Location & staff. While Collioure is much too crowded for my liking, the property was quiet and provided a nice respite
Review 3:Price high relative to other areas of Languedoc. Very touristy town.
Review 4:Location a bit out of the way -good to keep away from the crowds. Collioure beautiful. Go once in your life. But once is enough.
Review 5:l'absence de mini-bar
Review 6:La literie
Review 7:Great location nestled into the hill, overlooking small bay. Friendly staff, quiet pool area, nice restaurant.
Review 8:lovely location, and good restaurant as well
Review 9:A comfortable, clean hotel overlooking the sea and 15 minutes walk to the pretty town of Collioure.
Review 10:A little dated and modest but fair for the price as compared to others
Review 11:Nice location. Quiet
Review 12:Rude young lady staff on reception. Pool looked good but not heated. Restuarant shut Thursday night.
Review 13:Right on the coast. However, not perfect sea views as the hotel was built at an angle to the sea, not face on.
Review 14:Breakfast was not worth the money. Along with other guests, had to ask for bread and coffee and was told there was no more - some bread and coffee did appear later. No fresh fruit on second day.
Review 15:Nice location just outside town. Clean tidy good sized room. Free parking.
Review 16:Cant think of a thing!
Review 17:The view of the Med from our balcony was wonderful...it was a nice walk to Couloure...and a nice walk home after dinner out. The restaurant at the hotel was lovely for dinner as well. Great Staff, Great location. VERY QUIET..Great balcony .relaxing..out of the hub hub noise of Couloure yet close enough to walk or drive..Free hotel parking too!! Hard to park in Couloure..Dog Friendly as well. love that!
Review 18:Lack of mini fridge, weird elevator arrangement, 12 euros for breakfast, crummy shower head. Had the feeling that there was atitude because webooked through Booking.com. We have run into this a lot in the last fewweeks in France.
Review 19:Not much. Hotel was empty, but lady at front desk tied to give us a roomwith a view of the parking lot. Said it was not possible to give usanother room. When asked why in an empty hotel there was not a betterroom she came up with a much superior one.
Review 20:You didn't discover what was on the daily menu until you sat in the restaurant Lack of bar and lounge -we were there in October and you could no longer drink outside. Long steep walk into town and back.
Review 21:The restaurant La Farigoule
Review 22:Due to a delayed flight we arrived at the hotel at 9.15pm. The restaurant and bar were closed. There was no opportunity to eat or drink. Similarly Collioure was closed by 9.30pm. We managed to grab a takeaway pizza. Not a good venue to stay outside high season. The hotel virtually shut at around 9.00pm. Which is a pity because there was a nice pation area and the restaurant advertised a good standard of food but we did not try because we wanted to eat and drink in an establishment which stayed open later. But again most restaurants in town would not serve you after 8.45 and were shut at around 10.00pm. Its best to visit Collioure and this hotel in high season. But this finished on 1st September. C'est la vie.
Review 23:The view of the sea and a quiet location. The swimming pool looked inviting but the weather was cold for swimming. Ample sized car park
Review 24:It's a moderate walk into Collioure, though public transport is quite good.
Review 25:Lovely spot, superb food, nice pool, altogether a very pleasant place to stay.
Review 26:Not really a dislike, but tea/coffee making facilities in the bedroom would be a valued addition, especially since there is no bar/lounge.
Review 27:Comfortable sized, clean bedroom. Friendly and helpful staff, particularly those in the restaurant who went out of their way to converse with those guests who were alone. The standard of cuisine and presentation in the restaurant was superb. Free parking on site was a bonus as parking spaces in town are like gold dust.
Review 28:The only thing to say here is that as with all French hotels, breakfastis very expensive which is why we always go to the local town and get acroissant and have a coffee in a cafe.
Review 29:When we arrived the welcome from the bubbly receptionist was so good. The waitress in the restaurant was very friendly and helpful; she neverstopped smiling and worked hard to make our meals memorable. Thechambermaids were exceptional as well. The hotel is out of town, up ahill, but an easy walk and in a quiet location compared to the town. Ithas a large car park which is a bonus. We had a balcony with a view overthe creek.
Review 30:Can't think if anything !
Review 31:The property's is walking distance to Collioure. Plenty of freeparking on site which is great as difficult in town, chef in tiny hotelrestaurant is outstanding! Best food in town, Staff veryfriendly..awesome view if sea...string wifi signal...ac, tv..gorgeouspool? Lidel grocery stores. 1/2 mile up,the street.
Review 32:The information and maps show the location being much closer to the town centre. It is a good 15 to 20 minutes walk to the old town and the very long steep steps down to the wave washed coast path could be a problem for some. The walk back up the road is a little longer but easier. The bar does not sell drinks without food. Reception offered and charged us 6 euros for two cans of Heineken and had to ask for the change next morning. Steep steps up from the car park but there are two lifts that interconnect - all change half way up.
Review 33:Sea views from our room. Beautiful sun rise. Quiet and relaxing. Comfortable with a small balcony, the tame collared doves coming for biscuit crumbs. The charming guy on reception who was much more accommodating than his female colleagues on arrival. The swimming pool looked excellent. Very nice stay for one night.
Review 34:People with children need to bear in mind that it is a good 15/20 minute walk into Collioure itself.
Review 35:The hotel itself is in a lovely quiet location. The rooms are large with spacious bathroom and toliet. Lots of parking for cars, a real bonus in Collioure
Review 36:No fridge in room. Limited selection on dinner menu made it difficult toavoid having same thing twice during a 7-day stay. Swimming pool seemedto be unheated and in mid-June was only just ok - apparently it has beena cool Spring this year.
Review 37:Quiet location about 15 minutes walk into Collioure should suit all whodon't want to be kept awake by the bustle of the centre. Plenty ofparking space - very unusual for Collioure where parking spaces aredifficult to find. Large room with super-king size bed, air-con andbalcony overlooking beach. Loo separate from well laid out bathroom, which had both bath and shower. Power not dependant on key-card.Breakfast costs €10 for choice of juices, cereals, breads, croissants, plenty of fresh fruit, yoghurts, two sorts of ham and cheese,coffee/tea.
Review 38:As the hotel is set on a cliff, there are two elevators, which is confusing and perhaps risky for anyone with a disability.
Review 39:Very pleasant one-night stay. Spacious room with furnished terrace. Hotel nicely located outside Collioure in privileged setting. Quality restaurant. Out of season to use pool, but looked lovely.
Review 40:Nothing!
Review 41:Loved the private terrace off the bedroom. Pool & restaurant looked very good too although we did not use them
Review 42:Nothing
Review 43:Position Peacefulness Size of rooms Comfort Value
Review 44:Cost

Review 46:Rooms and beds are small and basic
Review 47:The restaurant and pool area are nice. The location next to the sea is also very pleasant and quiet
Review 48:Very comfortable and nice. Great receptionist who was very helpful. Wonderful place to stay!
Review 49:Great swimming pool, very easy walk into town and good parking.
