Reviews for L'Oasis
Review 1:Everything perfect.
Review 2:The staff Were excellent throughout or stay. The breakfasts were brilliant. The location of the hotel meant there was virtually no traffic noise and it was very peaceful. It was only a few hundred yards to the beach.
Review 3:The hotel is well managed but your expectations are clearly set upfront. This is a 2 star hotel and the amenities you get are what you get. Nothing less and nothing more.
Review 4:Good location in quiet neighborhood with good hotel staff.
Review 5:Nothing, everything was perfect.
Review 6:Super friendly staff. We arrived at 4am and had to wake the night porter to let us in, who didn't mind at all and helped us to our rooms. Very close to the beach, nice and quiet as it's set back from the street. Air conditioning worked really well too.
Review 7:Our room was located on the road and there was some traffic noise. Also, the shared bathroom situation was sometimes awkward with other guests.
Review 8:The owners offered us the use of their beach hut for a swim at the Sistine beach and provided towels. It's pebbles, so take beach shoes! Lovely garden breakfast. Cordial welcome and service.
Review 9:As a business owner... the lack of initiative to do ten minute repairs and pay attention to detail drives me crazy. In our room I would have replaced the old carpet with tile or laminate and repaired the wall where an old curtain rod used to be held. Also, we're pretty sure there were dust mites in the upholstered head board (which I would ask the staff to vacuum daily.) and the pillows/mattress.
Review 10:walking distance to beach, quiet room
Review 11:The hotel rooms were very dark with dark wallpaper and soft furnishings. The only window was in the bathroom. The rooms need modernising with white or light colours.
Review 12:The owner was very helpful and went out of her way to look after our comfort. On arrival we asked to be upgraded to a better, lighter room and this was done with a pleasant attitude although the hotel was fully booked. This was very much appreciated. Good value for money. Comfortable, clean beds. Nice Breakfast. Friendly staff. Free Parking. Free Wifi.
Review 13:Rooms may be a little bit noisy if your neighbours want to spend some time actively :)
Review 14:Excelent, quiet location, 5 min walking distance from wide, sandy beach and local boulangerie - best for first morning cofee and croissant or "fougasse" :). Cosy Provencal and maritime style interior.
Review 15:Our room (10) had a darker carpet and bedspread, making the room on the dark side. It could use some brighting up with lighter coloured accessories. or maybe a litle more lighting
Review 16:Proximity to everything. The hosts were accommodating and kind. and informative We felt very comfortable and safe at the hotel and surrounding area. Would return without hesitation
Review 17:It was a little dusty particularly the bedside tables.
Review 18:It was close to the waterfront.
Review 19:Situated not far from the beach. Parking.
Review 20:Quiet location
Review 21:None
Review 22:Location and staff friendliness
Review 23:Nice hotel in a quiet location. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. Very friendly people.
Review 24:The room was a bit dark and the fridge was not working.
Review 25:The hotel is close to the beach. It has its own parking. The staff was helpful and polite.
Review 26:Very nice and helpfull owners. Quiet place and close to the boardwalk and beaches.
Review 27:Location
Review 28:no window for the room, just for the bathroom.
Review 29:excellent location, close to the beach, very friendly and helpful hosts.
Review 30:parking a little hard to get in and out.
Review 31:The couple that ran the hotel made us feel like friends. Breakfast was same fare as other hotels but presented in a special way--esp. loved that the crescents were warm. pretty, clean and quiet.
Review 32:The bed seemed a bit short. I'm 165 cm and my toes were touching the edge.
Review 33:The owners were very friendly and spoke excellent English. We requested rooms with closed bathrooms and got them. The hotel was 5 minutes from the beach (which was very pretty). A cute little corner with books and TV, sadly we didn't have time to enjoy it.
Review 34:Passed on the breakfast. Too pricy.
Review 35:A superb location, just minutes from the beach yet very quiet. Clean, tidy spacious room. Laundry and supermarket close by. A wonderful town to vacation in.
Review 36:Gabrielle and Isabelle ,are fabulous hosts thehotel is in a greatlocation short walk from the front, and quiet location. Our son wastaken to the hospital while we were there and Gabriel took us .fantastic people.
Review 37:They used some oddly smelling cleanser. The bed was not very comfortable (did not prevent from sleeping, though). The neighbourhood restaurants didn't attract me and I walked to St Raphael to eat out.
Review 38:I was genuinely surprised by the hostess' command of English, you don't meet such good speakers often here in France. Another pleasant surprise was that when I told her that I wished I could practice my French more, she switched to French even though it was easier for both of us to keep all the conversations in English. Both of the hosts were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and consisted of baguette slices, a croissant, ham and cheese if you want, yoghurt if you want + juice + tea / coffee. What I also found good, butter briquettes were always cold and fresh (in some hotels they keep being left in open air all mornings until someone finally eats them). The wifi connection was very reliable. It is located very close to the beach and to a supermarket (Casino). If you come (or leave) by train, you get a free pick up.
Review 39:There is no downside to staying at this rather unique and special hotel.
Review 40:Firstly, we found the owners providing customer service which was second to none - always cheerful and friendly and happy to help. Secondly, the hotel is set back form the road so it was good to wake up to the sound of birds rather than traffic and sit out on the stylish decking in peace and quiet yet you are just minutes from the seafront. Thirdly, the rooms are of a decent size with a handy fridge and comfortable bed. The hotel is adorned with tasteful art throughout and the mural in the dining room was stunning. Will definitely look forward to returning next April.
Review 41:Would really have appreciated a kettle and use of a microwave- but realise this is unrealistic in a hotel which does not offer self catering. Our room had no direct window, but lots of light and fresh air came in through the bathroom, which was loined to the bedroom with wide glass doors. A little bit of renovation needed on carpets, tiling, but these are really very minor points in a super place to stay in Frejus, if it is beach and sea you want.
Review 42:We particularly liked the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the owners. The location was very good, close to the beach, Frejus Port and lots of coffee shops and restaurants. The hotel was set among trees, with an outdoor seating area excellent for hot weather. Frejus Port marina area itself is a pleasant, fairly elegant area for a. Quiet drink or meal while enjoying the sight of beautiful boats and gorgeous sunsets.
Review 43:It's a lovely small hotel at an excellent location. The couple that own the place are lovely and helpful. Even though the breakfast costs extra you really should try it. It's great.
Review 44:Incredibly friendly staff, we arrived very late at night, but they stayed up and welcomed us. Rooms are very comfortable, warm and pleasant. Had a lovely nights sleep and a even more pleasant breakfast on the terrace. Very cozy and family like atmosphere. Excellent location and good parking. Easy to find.
Review 45:The rooms do have some years on them and a hint of mustiness - which I think is typical of many beach hotels.
Review 46:Owners are extremely personable and, as a bonus, speak fluent English. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Location is very convenient to the beach and a large number of restaurants/shops. Outdoor seating area is beautiful. HIghly recommend!
Review 47:The color of the room. It was pink- bleh! This is insignificant and had no effect on how happy we were with our stay.
Review 48:Price! The delicious breakfast (fresh baguette, croissant, cheese plate, ham, yogurt, jellies, amazing coffee)! Owner and her husband are wonderful, room was great, and very close to the beach and main strip of restaurants. Great stay!!
Review 49:Great location close to beach and bars and restaurants. We arrived early and got friendly welcome and were allowed into our rooms. Secure parking for motor bikes in garage.
Review 50:Family run hotel. Owners were French but they were very friendly, spoke good English, very helpful and funny too (how could they be French ?) The hotel was clean and comfortable and only 200 yards from the beach. Breakfasts were great too and hotel in a nice quiet sidestreet. Plenty of free parking available.
Review 51:The owners were so helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were very niceand good value for money (7.90 Euro's). The hotel was less than 5minutes walk from the beach and about a 8 minute walk from the stunningmarina. Value for money it is difficult to beat.
Review 52:The shower was a hand held type - would have been fine if we could have hooked it on to a wall fitting, but that wasn't an option.
Review 53:Terrific hosts - warm welcome and very helpful. Comfortable room and delicious continental breakfast served on the terrace.
Review 54:No soundproofing.
Review 55:Very close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. The hotel owners are fantastic! They went out of their way to make our stay superb.
Review 56:The bed was rather small for tall people like us, but the matrass was great. The bathroom is separated from the room with a curtain (but there is also a toilet on the floor), so not really a big problem for us.
Review 57:The owners are very friendly and warm people. They will do anything to make you enjoy your stay, which makes you feel very welcome. The room was cleaned everyday: spotless!! Very good hotel to stay for a few nights.
Review 58:Nothing.
Review 59:The owners of L'Oasis were friendly and helpful. The location was great and everything was spotlessly clean. Although it was not our original intention, we booked a night for our return journey, too!
Review 60:-The absence of privacy in the bathroom area. The curtain acting as a bathroom door was not a practical idea.
Review 61:- The friendliness of the staff - Proximity to the beach
Review 62:The lady is not service minded. On the booking.com page of this hotel isstated that "Breakfast is served daily in the dining room or on theterrace during nice weather". Well this mean it is included in theprice but yes I had to way 7,90€ per breakfast which quite surprised me.
Review 63:Nice and quiet hotel with friendly people
