Reviews for Villa Caroline - Chambres d'Hôtes
Review 1:Our stay was wonderful! lovely room with an awesome view and the hosts were really helpful in giving us pointers on what to see while we were in town. Would go back in a heartbeat
Review 2:Excellent location and most helpful hosts, high quality bedding, etc. We were disappointed not to have access to own cooking facilities but Mario more than compensated. Breakfasts were fantastic.
Review 3:We didn't have a bad experience at all. This is not a posh hotel, but has useful facilities like being able to cook an evening meal. You cannot park outside the hotel, but there is free parking close by just one street away.
Review 4:Our host was extremely friendly, helpful and charming. The view from the terrace, where we could sit, and where we had breakfast, was amazing; we had a beautiful view of the cathedral and the Bishop's palace (now the Toulouse-Lautrec museum) at breakfast. You could also see a bit of the river. The location was superb - within easy walking distance of the cathedral and old town. The breakfast was good, with homemade yoghurt, fruit, jams and croissants, pain au chocolates and bread.
Review 5:there is nothing I did not like but Mario , when working alone , may struggle if all occupants arrive for breakfast at the same time .
Review 6:we were very well looked after by Mario but all about this hotel worked - design , function ( eg bathroom ) . somewhat difficult to park due narrow streets . Excellent croissant indeed .
Review 7:Mario was an excellent host, he provided information for the historical sites and restaurants recommendations. He has a beautiful outdoor patio for breakfast with marvelous views of the cathedral. He made our stay in Albi very delightful. We definitely recommend this place!
Review 8:Nothing!

Review 13:Personal presence of the owner to attend to all ones needs.
Review 14:Caroline provides a very comfortable place to stay with extra very helpful facilities such as use of a kitchen. We had a wonderful room, quiet and with a perfect view of the city.
Review 15:Rien
Review 16:The owner, perfect location, the house, antique furniture, the comfort, a very large and comfortable room, fabulous view from the balcony where you can sit and sip the wine looking at the Cathedral, Vieux Pont, etc. Everything was just perfect.
Review 17:Our room only had the shower/sink en suite, but getting to the toilet necessitated a trip across the hall, which was unexpected as we'd thought we were getting a true en suite.
Review 18:The proprietor, Caroline, was wonderful and charming hostess. The view from our room was beautiful. We loved having a kitchen to use as well as a wonderful terrace.
Review 19:Our room didn't have an on suite bathroom.
Review 20:Location. Caroline is very friendly and the balcony has an astonishing view of the cathedral. We also appreciated the possibility to use the kitchen.
Review 21:Parking not close to Villa but safe and free. Initial direction from car park to house would have helped a little.
Review 22:Lovely views from terrace where a superb breakfast was served.comfortable and well equipped rooms.
Review 23:Taxis hard to get in Albi as in many other places in France
Review 24:Caroline the owner was wonderful my companion became very sick, suchkindness Including bringing us to local hospital at 5 am . Also a lovelyrelaxed place to stay and nice view of Albi from terrace
Review 25:Caroline was very warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The guesthouse was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Well situated and very quiet. Could not have wished for anything better. Highly recommended.
Review 26:It is not easy to find out the villa soon, since it does not have a big signboard.
Review 27:Since Caroline is not a hotel, its a guest house or B$B, it offers a homelike atmosphere. We enjoyed nice talks with other guests at the breakfast table. View from a house is good.
Review 28:Need to know that it is in a very narrow street and need to use nearby public parking.
Review 29:The views over Albi from both the room and terrace were stunning. Albi is a fabulous city and Villa Caroline perfect for a stay to explore it.
Review 30:didnt have the cathederal view as booked but probably had a better room for family.
Review 31:Very comfortable, breakfast on the terrace, nice people, nice building.
Review 32:They advertise en-suite bathrooms, but ours was actually outside ourbedroom door in the hallway.
Review 33:Great location. Just across the river from the main part of town
Review 34:The room with a tired sideboard; toilet with access on a common landing or through a common kitchen; poor quality breakfast available in a scruffy kitchen and with jampots on the table; lousy strength tea;
Review 35:The proprietor's assistance in parking the car
Review 36:Gps doesnt recognize the one way streets in this area which makes ithard to find
Review 37:Really helpful host and perfect location right outside the center oftown near all sites
Review 38:Breakfast disappointing.
Review 39:Very characterful house within easy walking distance to cathedral, restaurants and Toulouse Letrec museum. The bedroom had a beautiful view. Friendly English speaking host
Review 40:Our hostess, Caroline was most obliging and spoke excellent English. Shewas happy to recommend and book some memorable restaurants for us. Weloved our breakfasts on the terrace and enjoyed sitting out there onbalmy evenings. The terrace views were picture postcard. A sharedkitchen, washing machine and fridge were very welcome too. VillaCaroline is just a short 7 minutes stroll across the Tarn River to theunesco city of Albi.
Review 41:Villa Caroline is a great location to the city center, just a short walk. Our room had a great view of the cathedral. Caroline, the owner, was a wonderful host. The breakfast provided was a typical French breakfast. Caroline gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner.
Review 42:Be warned that the streets are very narrow - ok if you have a small car, but difficult to negotiate in a big estate car.
Review 43:We were given a warm and friendly welcome by Caroline, who speaks excellent English. Our room was spacious and comfortably furnished, with wonderful views of the old city. Our toilet was separate, but private. It was fine for our overnight stay. A hearty and delicious breakfast was served on the verandah the following morning - plenty of freash bread, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and so on. You can offload luggage at the front door, but cannot take long doing so as the street is only one car wide. However, there is plenty of free on-street parking nearby.
Review 44:the view of Albi & the cathedral access to a kitchen Caroline
