Reviews for Alliance Hotel Paris Porte de St Ouen
Review 1:No proper wardrobe to store a week of clothing. Strong smell of cigarette on the floor hall and coming inside the room too, despite a non-smoking policy.
Review 2:People sleeping in the streets near the front doors. 10 minutes walk to Metro in very an area where you did not feel safe. Would not stay there again.
Review 3:Very close to the antique market.
Review 4:It is far from the city center and both of the subway stations. The staff was rude. The hotel was undergoing (I suppose) renovation and the elevators and halls were outright dirty. I suppose you could find better rooms closer to the city center for the same price. The rooms were a bit small. There was also a large construction site right in front of the hotel at our time of travel (Aug'14).
Review 5:The hotel has free wifi and overall cleanliness of the room was good. The closest subway line (13) takes you directly to city center so you don't have to transfer a lot after you get there.
Review 6:While the hotel is conveniently close to a Metro station, at times I felt a little 'removed' from the more touristy parts of Paris - this was not always a bad thing, but some evenings the trip home felt a little long. It isn't really!
Review 7:The reception staff were consistently pleasant and helpful and the hotel was clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast had a good selection of cold and warm foods and drinks, and the bedroom was comfortable - and had free WiFi!! In all, a very comfortable and convenient stay - only 10 min walk from Metro.
Review 8:Everything fine. Hotel people has to keep drinking water.
Review 9:Walking to subway feels insecure.
Review 10:Front desk service was friendly and helpful.
Review 11:Rough, dirty neighbourhood
Review 12:Close to Marche aux Puces market.
Review 13:Breakfast is correct but we had dinner there one night and it was not good.
Review 14:Everything was great.not one bad thing I can say about this hotel
Review 15:evry thenk
Review 16:Poor wifi in lobby and restaurant Wifi performance was poor all over It can be a bit noisy if you are facing the motorway
Review 17:Comfortable
Review 18:Got bitten by bed bugs
Review 19:good location and value for money
Review 20:It is in a poor neighbourhood where people are living on the street. Garbage is everywhere in the surrounding.
Review 21:The price is reasonable
Review 22:WiFi (free) was slow TV signal had low quality Small room Expensive breakfast
Review 23:Not too expensive Clean
Review 24:Room size is a bit small
Review 25:The room although small is comfortable & clean.
Review 26:Hotel needs to be renovated. Rooms adequate for your money.
Review 27:5 minute walk to flea markets and metro station. Request room away from road. Weekend staff very friendly and helpful.
Review 28:The hotel is located in the Paris 17e Arrondissement, so it's notawfully close to the 'must see' attractions of Paris, forexample the Eiffel Tower is 7 miles away. As I was here on localbusiness it didn't matter to me, so for advice only. The local areais very ethnically mixed but don't expect to have any problems, Ihave stayed in the area more than once and have had few problems, thereis the old homeless person begging for change/cigarettes but thatdescribes almost anywhere in Paris. Now for the hotel, small butfunctional rooms, again very Paris located in one of the quieter streetsin the area. The room has air conditioning and tea making facilities. Please note there was a single available power socket so if you aretravelling with a lot of gadgets you're in for a rude awakening.Very effective air conditioningassuaged my disappointment in thisregard. Downstairs is the breakfast room/restaurant. There is adecent if not exactly exciting choice for breakfast. The dinner menu isalso not vast but is well priced, 15 Euro for a large shrimp salad plusa 500g cote de boeuf with fries is good value in my book, moreover itwas delicious. Overall this place pulls up no trees but it'salright. Aside from the 20 minute check in.
Review 29:Could smell cigarette smoke coming from rooms, even though signs wereclearly posted 'no smoking'. Went into the restaurant in theevening, but no one seemed to be working. Left the hotel for dinner.
Review 30:Desk staff were friendly. All email inquiries had been promptlyanswered.
Review 31:Room was on the small side but comfortable, mini bar / fridge wouldbe useful, not really a complaint to be honest
Review 32:Excellent location for the Flea and antique markets, Staff were verygood, polite, friendly and helpful. Cooked breakfast was also a verynice surprise.
Review 33:The parking used to be free. Now the hotel is charging 8 Euros per day.
Review 34:I always use this hotel when traveling to Paris by car. Only a fewmeters from the high-way and a parking on-site. The room are very quiet, the breakfast very good for a French hotel (except when just a touristgroup entered the breakfast room ;-) ).
Review 35:30 minutes by walk and metro to city center. Small room for two people, but if you using it only for sleep, it's ok.
Review 36:relatively quiet place, clean and nice
Review 37:Weekday rate not good value for money considering location. Double bedroom only suitable for one person . No milk provided with tea-making things - had to go downstairs to reception to get some each time. Internet charges out of sight!
Review 38:Clean and quiet; comfortable bed, nice duvet and pillows. Tea-making facility - but see below.
Review 39:At the night i have some issues with the room, the guy at the reception was very unhelpful. The other stuff is OK.
Review 40:Bar, restaurant, lobby, room , no services ,
Review 41:Not much
Review 42:Do not have any dislikes
Review 43:I like everyhng about this hotel offered to me and the staff was very helpful as well
Review 44:Noisy and importunate morning room-service
Review 45:Good price, not far from the metro station, easy to get by car, parking available on site
Review 46:My room was a twin.
Review 47:There were both thieves in the restaurant on Oct 12, 2012, maybe at 8:05. We stopped them! !
Review 48:I like the bed and bedding, it feel comfortable.
