Reviews for Hotel Kyriad Saint Quentin
Review 1:Would be better if it had a restaurant. I know we were traveling and stayed on Christmas night but the Buffalo grill opposite was closed...
Review 2:Location is great, 3/4 minutes from auto route.
Review 3:Not applicable
Review 4:Travelling from Plymouth to Courchevel this hotel was exactly half way. Very easily accessed from A26, easy parking, close to restaurant. Helpful staff, good value, spotlessly clean.
Review 5:None.
Review 6:Very quick transaction at reception, staff is so kind. This hotel was good for our purpose (just transit). And we could find good grill restaurant near by hotel. (walk distance) And this hotel has enough car parking space in the private area.
Review 7:Very small bathroom with just a walk in shower
Review 8:Easy of access from motorway with facilities such as 24h petrol station, chain restaurants. Decent size for family room.
Review 9:Although conveniently located just off the motorway it was very difficult to find as GPS co-ordinates and address of hotel take you to a residential area, which was tricky when we towing a boat!
Review 10:Excellent secure parking, family room on small side but very comfortable. Very good breakfast. Although no restaurant on site we had a very good meal at Buffalo Grill restaurant across the road.
Review 11:No bad experiences at all. People have complained about the wifi and this might be a problem (initially I was handed several log ins!) but I was allowed to log on in reception and used the Livebox connection.
Review 12:The hotel is easily accessible from and close to the motorway. Parking is secure and the hotel is comfortable, warm, clean and very nicely refurbished. The staff are super, Gwen gave me a wonderful welcome when I stayed over on the 14th December. She was helpful, exceedingly friendly, prepared a very nice light supper and really went out of her way to make me welcome. Lovely, as I travel alone mainly. The breakfast staff were great too but I didn't see any name tags. I had one of the smaller rooms but it was large enough and very nicely furnished and decorated. Modern bathroom, large comfortable bed with good quality linen. Coffee and tea making facilities in the room which is rare in French hotels. Also good filter coffee available 24 hours a day in the reception. Breakfast buffet was very good. The only thing I would say that a few warm items would be very welcome - even warming the croissants would make a difference I think. I live between France and the UK and will go out of my way to stay here each time as it really is a little gem. I used to stay at a hotel in Holnon but there is no comparison and the other is much more expensive.
Review 13:-Room WiFi was not working due to provider changes (but the Hotel offered Lobby WiFi as backup system). -Small rooms -Shower door was not propperly working
Review 14:-Location is good and the Hotel is quite new and very clean -Very friendly and helpful staff -Good beds
Review 15:Table not deep enough for a normal sized laptop.
Review 16:Quiet location, nice park for walking nearby. Large screen, good quality TV. Excellent coffee machine.
Review 17:Watching black flies take off and land all over the uncovered breakfast buffet!
Review 18:Great customer service / friendly and polite. Facilities very clean and hotel easy to access from motorway
Review 19:There was a slight smell of smoke in the room.
Review 20:Very easy to get to and very welcoming. The staff were so helpful both on arrival and the following morning. Rooms were clean and very comfortable.
Review 21:Staff in particular Hughes and Danielja were extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. Good place to stay if traveling by car, includes parking on site and close to highway. It was an overall pleasant experience.
Review 22:They had no beer in the fridge for sale, only wine.
Review 23:Easy to find. Excellent reception staff, friendly and courteous.Very clean room. Very nice breakfast.
Review 24:This hotel is ideally placed for an overnight stay in an area which is lacking in decent hotels. It is in a quiet side street with everything you need overnight. A few minutes drive gets you in to the restaurants in the town centre.
Review 25:Easy to find and secure parking made this hotel ideal for a stopover on the way home to UK. All the staff on duty were extremely polite and efficient Would definitely book again
Review 26:the room was a little short of luggage and hanging space. There was a cupboard mounted on the wall next to the bed on which it was easy to bang your head.
Review 27:Good location not far off the A26 autoroute en rote from/to Calais and eastern/southern France. Very clean and modern facilities with adequate, but not generous sized rooms. There's plenty of free parking there and a modern American style grill restaurant across the road. Couldn't really fault this hotel for a short stay to break up a 2 day drive. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Very good value for money.
Review 28:Basic rooms, but good value for money and no problem for a night or two.
Review 29:the restaurant was amazing. Food excellent. You have to have the soufflé for dessert. Nice view.
Review 30:Hostess very friendly and helpful. She helped us with the storage of our cycles, where to find food at local hypermarket and printed us directions for the quickest route through the town.
Review 31:Secure car park, very comfortable bed and very convenient to use as a stopover on our way to Calais. A Buffalo Grill is 5 mins walk away for an evening meal. Lovely décor throughout
Review 32:Used at the end of our holiday for our journey home. Good value for money, I was able to store my bike (push) safely in the hotel. Facilities were very good.
Review 33:Bathroom a bit small.
Review 34:very clean and good location for autoroute. We were only staying one night and would defintely use this hotel again if we were staying in the area. It's in a tucked away quite quiet area.
Review 35:The room was a tight fit and there were several very sharp corners on the fittings (dangerous on the way to the bathroom in the night). We did not use the Wi-Fi but overheard several guests at the desk who were having problems.
Review 36:Complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby. Quiet location. Good car park. Very comfortable bed and good shower. Kettle and tea in the room.
Review 37:Nothing.
Review 38:Excellent location for overnight stop - 3 minutes from autoroute. Very helpful and professional staff.Better than expected breakfast available from 07.00.
Review 39:There was no aircondtioning in any of the rooms. Had I known this hotelwas not equipped I would have booked elsewhere. It made for a veryuncomfortable stay in August and to have the windows open we were on the1st floor with 2 young children which left us with a big safety concern. There was also no cold refreshments available, the bar was not workingand there were no vending machines . Given the hotel was not near anylocal shops in the immediate vacinity it was very inconvenient. Thefamily room was very cramped leaving us no room for luggage for a familyof 4. We couldn't wait to leave.
Review 40:The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was lovely.
Review 41:Room was hot and stuffy and no aircon! No drinks licence so only non-alcoholic drinks at the bar !
Review 42:Very convenient stop for breaking journey. Staff polite and helpful. Good breakfast. Hotel does what it says on the packet
Review 43:Easy to locate. Great welcome from very helpful receptionist (Hugues) who recommended restaurant in town for evening meal and was able to answer all our other queries.
Review 44:There was only one t bag and no remote control although reception did give us another remote.
Review 45:Being given the choice of a downstairs room. The friendliness of the staff.
Review 46:Breakfats is good but a bit expensive 9.50 Euros for an adult.
Review 47:Perfect location if you have to stop before or after the Eurotunnel, near the motorway. Staff extremely nice and helpful. Clean
Review 48:We were using this hotel as a stopover on route home from the South of France and it was perfectly adequate for what it was and how much it cost. The family room and bathroom were cosy for 4 of us but we did all have a proper bed and not a bed settee or pull out bed which is sometimes the case in a family room. There was a family restaurant chain across the road for dinner but if you wanted something different you would need to drive. However, it was very quick from the motorway and the room was clean and receptionist friendly so perfect for somewhere to lay our heads after a long day of driving.
Review 49:Spacious clean family room and bathroom, secure parking, pleasant friendly staff ensuring quick efficient check in/out. Free wifi and TV and tea making in room always a bonus.
Review 50:Used this hotel for a one-night stop-over on way to the south of france. Ideal, would recommend, and will look out for this company again when travelling.
Review 51:Room size rather cosy but OK for one night.
Review 52:Bright interior and friendly staff. Good shower facility. Breakfast was copious and refreshment available at other times.
Review 53:Poor WiFi . They give you bits of paper with passwords on - ours didn't work and reception wasn't particularly helpful sorting the problem ie I had to visit twice.
Review 54:Lovely breakfast. Nice little touches in room like complimentary water and flip flops! Gorgeous fresh bedding and high standard of cleanliness overall.
Review 55:We used this hotel as a stopover on our way to the Black Forest in Germany, it was ideal there is a buffalo grill two minutes away, all you can eat chinese restaurant and McDonald's all close by. We actually booked the hotel again for our return journey, excellent hotel
Review 56:There was no air conditioning. The hotel also pre-authorises payment so if you use a debit card it ties up the amount for a month.
Review 57:Generally everything was OK, the hotel was located in a quiet part of town, onsite parking was available and the wifi worked well. The staff were excellent and gave assistance where needed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Review 58:The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive - especially the man on reception when we arrived who was also able to recommend a good local restaurant for dinner.
Review 59:The location was not in the most salubrious area, but hay it was a value hotel!
Review 60:The staff were the most helpful and friendly we have seen for a long time.
Review 61:Limited evening food options in walking distance. Air conditioning not available.
Review 62:Good clean comfortable rooms and good buffet breakfast. Similar to UK travel lodge or premier inn chains.
Review 63:Room had slight smell of smoke even though hotel had no smoking policy.
Review 64:Warm welcome and great service from all staff. Extremely comfortable bed and excellent shower. Copious breakfast choice.
Review 65:Convenience for stop over en route to Calais for return to UK. Easy to find. Breakfast plentiful. Staff excellent. Buffalo Grill next door great value.
Review 66:Poor WiFi. Don't use Buffalo Grill near by. Wife had stone cold chicken that they just heated back up. Everything cooked from frozen. zombie staff who couldn't be more unhelpful. Best adive is to get a take away and have it delivered. Cheaper and better quality food. Kyriad staff have menue.
Review 67:Nice clean hotel, ideal for stopover. Very close to motorway in quiet location. Would stay again.
Review 68:WiFi is too difficult to connect to and once you are connected it was slow
Review 69:Staff were lovely and although we arrived a little late in the morning it wasn't an issue.
Review 70:Nothing
Review 71:Very nice stop close to motorway friendly greeting at reception well organised asked for ground floor and got one, breakfast good helpful staff room very clean shower super
Review 72:No bar as this was not open yet, but was due to open in the near future.
Review 73:Staff friendly and accommodating, very clean, comfortable and enjoyed our stay.
Review 74:Stayed here just over night on the way to Normandy, We stayed here in 2010 and selected this place because of the great time we had in 2010, we were not disappointed this time.
Review 75:A good hotel with secure parking, clean and comfortable, good breakfast, unlimited tea, coffee, chocolate from machine in breakfast room! Will definitely use again!
Review 76:Unacceptable WiFi connection policy; you are forced to watch an advertising video every time you connect a device. Our stop was during a heat wave and the lack of aircon in the rooms was a big problem
Review 77:Location, close to motorway.
Review 78:Nothing to do with the hotel but the Buffalo Grill restaurant across the road was expensive and the food wasn't great.
Review 79:The chap on reception was excellent and welcoming and spoke very good English. The hotel was very clean and well presented.
Review 80:When we came in after a day out we could not get a beer , we were told that it was not licenced even though there is a bottle of champers on display .
Review 81:Very clean and comfortable room, although a little small. Breakfast was good
Review 82:Wr stayed there on way from south France to UK. Perfect location before 1.5 hrs drive to Calais. Hotel very clean, reception speaks English. Car park at the front. They serve cold continental breakfast with coffee/tea facilities in room. Modern and clean. We would stay there again.
Review 83:Great for a one night stop over en route to Calais. Clean, modern facilities. Secure parking. Good location for A26. Town centre restaurants only 5 mins away. There was a very good choice at the Buffet breakfast.
Review 84:I liked the 24hr reception , so you aren't messing about with door codes. Room was very clean and recently refurbished. Safe area for leaving car full of belongings.
Review 85:No restauarant and the only one in wlking distance is an American-style steak house. Not what you want on your first (or any) night in France!
Review 86:Very clean, very friendly, very convenient. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable room.
Review 87:Room very small for a couple Very few couples in the hotel, most guests were young males
Review 88:Easy to find and park Clean Grill next door for evening food
Review 89:Paper cups in room for coffee, staff said no possibility of an extra pillow as they would have to take one from another room and all rooms occupied
Review 90:Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable and convenient to motorway.
Review 91:The ensuite although well set out was very small we are not big people but even we found it a little on the tight side anyone larger might have problems.
Review 92:This is an ideal overnight stay the room though not large was adequate and was clean. The breakfast was good. The towels provided were of good quality and large. There was no noise from other rooms.
Review 93:We went to The Grill locally for a meal an it was awful. We couldnt see anywhere nearby which looked any better
Review 94:Clean, modern, comfortable with good staff
Review 95:Modern hotel, convenient for motorway. This was the last stop before driving to Calais to return home. Good breakfast. Restaurant grill across the road where we had a good meal and nice wine.
Review 96:Internet access convoluted No bar Local restaurant busy, but good alternatives across main road.p
Review 97:Easy access from motorway No frills, but cosy Value for money
Review 98:perhaps the hotel could address the issue of child locks on the windows of the upper floors - we were in a second floor room - and there were no child locks or other safety mechanisms on the window which was disconcerting with a toddler standing on the bed (which was pushed right up to the window) and playing with the catches!
Review 99:Helpful and accommodating staff. No-one minded when I arrived in my pyjama's with my two year old son at 6am to stop him from waking up my 5 year old daughter (we were all in the same room). Clean rooms and great breakfast.
Review 100:Nothing. Hotel was all we needed after a long day of driving.
Review 101:Clean functional rooms - all you need for an overnight stop. No restaurant but a buffalo grill over the road. Small bathroom but great shower. Fabulous value only minutes from the A26.
Review 102:Everything, by far the most convenient, clean, modern, friendly Hotel in that area I have stayed in on my way back from Austria before catching the ferry back to England and I have used a lot of Hotels in that area.
Review 103:Had a dreadful meal at The Grill near by and it didn't look like there was anything much better near by, so eat en route before you arrive!
Review 104:Clean, comfortable & very good staff & a fab breakfast
Review 105:Our only issue was that the lady upon arrival had very poor English but we managed in the end. The morning receptionist was fluent.
Review 106:Location for an overnight stop was excellent as we were driving back to UK from Provance. with a small baby. The hotel is very clean, there is free parking, decent breakfast and all this very affordable. Note that there is no air conditioning (other than good traditional window :-) which was not a problem for us but be aware if that is something you are expecting.
Review 107:Slight glitch with wifi that did not work in the room on arrival. However was fine next morning so could just be a one-off.
Review 108:Great location just off the motorway. Room and hotel very clean and comfort better than expected for price. Particularly liked the tea/coffee making facility in room (rare in European hotels at this price point). Also very good shower gel etc.
Review 109:A long way from the centre of Town
Review 110:Chap on Desk could not be more friendly or helpful a great asset to your company Secure free car parking Free Tea and coffee available in Foyer
Review 111:Nothing not to like, really, just maybe a little 'themed' and soul-less.
Review 112:Nicely styled hotel, very clean and pleasant for a one night stopover. Free coffee - hallelujah! Lovely receptionist who was very helpful. Superb breakfast (extra charge). Short taxi ride (€10) to centre of town.
Review 113:Nothing to dislike.
Review 114:Very friendly staff, spoke excellent English but didn't mind me speaking French. Free tea and coffee in the morning although you have to pay for Breakfast. Very clean and has 2 single beds rather than a sofa bed for the children so there is no argument! Excellently positioned off the motorway. A great find.
Review 115:Great location easy to find from the motorway, We arrived late but still to a friendly welcome from man at reception. Nothing was too much trouble even our request for extra pillows. The bed was very comfortable and everywhere spotless and clean. The tv was enormous! Tea coffee milk and a bottle of water with biscuits all provided and a kettle. We slept with the window slightly open and didn't hear too much noise. We will stay again.
Review 116:The best budget hotel I've ever stayed in and ive stayed in a few. New hotel , comfortable bed, roomy room, brilliant tv and friendly helpful staff .
Review 117:No restaurant although one almost opposite
Review 118:Very close to our route to Switzerland and easy to find. Extremely welcoming and very comfortable. Lovely friendly staff. Would stay again. Breakfast was great value
Review 119:location was bit hard to find but nothing major, hotel all newly done up and rooms despite being small were very cumfy with good quality bedding - everything was really good, didnt have breakfast but could get tea and coffee if you wanted it in the lobby - safe secure parking and overall, a great stop off enroute to the alps and good value for families as you can get 4 in a room
Review 120:A really convenient and comfortable stop over for our journey home from the Alps. Greeted by a very friendly and helpful member of staff - Said. Rooms are great and the buffet breakfast was tasty and well worth the money. Will definitely use again.
Review 121:For some reason the management have decided that they will not allow pets which means that I will not be staying in future, this goes for at least a dozen of my friends .Its a pity because it is a good hotel.
Review 122:The hotel is excellent and is one of the best budget hotels I know
Review 123:No complaint at all but was annoyed to note that room price if booked direct with hotel was cheaper than through this website!
Review 124:Friendly helpful reception staff in very stylish surroundings. Free coffee in reception as well as facilities in room. Executive room gives more space to move for elderly visitors.
Review 125:Nothing major - 'comfort' room was a bit on small side for two elderly people to get round easily but for one night no problem.
Review 126:Much better and only slightly more expensive than other 'budget' hotels we have used over many years. Welcoming staff, stylish decor, well-equipped and spotless room and en-suite, including kettle and tea/coffee and toiletries, copious breakfast.
