Reviews for Hôtel Astérides Sacca
Review 1:Atmosphere not great, no tea & coffee making facilities although certain days you could get tea & coffee but without milk. Staff a bit mixed some friendly some not. Room clean but basic. Not bad value overall. Breakfast a bit of a bun fight but with patience not to bad at all!
Review 2:We liked location and convenience and pretty facade.
Review 3:I had to pay extra 10 euros to change room to 2 beds as we were mother and grown-up son Can you please add to your list above something to tick for mother and son.
Review 4:Getting in to our room at 1.30pm instead of 3pm (It's not very convenient in France when you cannot check-in before 3pm.) In this instance we wanted to get 12 noon minibus to Pont d'Espanyol but we got 2pm bus instead which was alright. If we hadn't been able to check in until 3pm our day would have been ruined - no more buses to P d E
Review 5:Could do with rooms having a bit of an update.
Review 6:Room was very basic but comfortable and clean. Great location - near to lots of great restaurants and bars. Within walking distance to the Gondola and only a short drive to the other Gondola at Pont d'espagne.
Review 7:Basic rooms
Review 8:Quiet
Review 9:Wifi only on ground floor
Review 10:Friendly and helpful staff with good local knowledge. Clean and comfortable room. Correct for the price.
Review 11:Being locked out at 9.00 in the evening
Review 12:very quiet hotel in the centre of town
Review 13:Toilet seat in room 48 needed replacing badly
Review 14:Very friendly staff, excellent meal in the restaurant great position within the main town.
Review 15:Our experience with this hotel was great -- booking, late check-in, breakfast even without a reservation and efficient checkout.
Review 16:no parking near no internet in room no soap & champoo in bathroom
Review 17:Location
Review 18:The rooms are poorly furnished
Review 19:The staff was kind and waited until 22:00, when we came
Review 20:Expensive breakfast no WIFI in rooms
Review 21:Location Nice bathroom easy to book
Review 22:Good location, good firm bed
Review 23:My room, though on the third floor, turned out to be at street level, on that side of the slope. The town was empty, so no traffic late at night, no drunks or loud conversations in the street. At high season though, I'd ask to be on 4th or 5th floor.
Review 24:Central position. Admirable for after dinner or early morning sightseeing: to take photographs. Excellent for this.
Review 25:Shower was a 'bit dodgy',- had a mind of its own! but only there for 1 night so didn't report.
Review 26:Reception very friendly, offerring advice to the area. Free wifi in communal areas was good. Very close to ski lift. Cauterets is a lovely town, but very quiet in April!
Review 27:They were a bit disorganised and confused some of our dinner booking although it was all sorted out eventually.
Review 28:Comfortable rooms, very pleasant staff. It was conveniently located for skiing and had good storage facilities. Cauterets us a lovely town.
Review 29:Nothing to criticize
Review 30:I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights in July 2013. The road to Cauterets had been washed away by floods, and the town was going through a very difficult time. The hotel staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful, and maintained very high standards.
Review 31:On arrival before check in time, I was told I had to come back after3pm, not in a friendly tone at all 3pm check in which is late. Thereonly looked like a few guests staying so it was quite empty., I then hadto ask if I could leave my bags as there was no friendly offer. When Icame back and checked into the room the light didn't work for themain entry of the room, the room was shabby with no outlook, grey. WhenI said the light didn't work the reception said but you've gotthe other lights eg bathroom I said yes but you need to fix it. Thestaff appear lazy - watching tv, guests are an interruption to watchingsport on tv. They clearly don't own the place and given there wereso few guests they could have given me a room facing the view, butcustomer satisfaction is not their objective. There is only wifi in thefoyer which works well. Their breakfast is not worth 10 euros go to alocal cafe. The room next to mine had the door open with towels strewnin the hallway, the lazy staff had left it like this until the next day.The wall above the headrest had marks on it like people had rested theirfeet from the bed on the wall - shabby but definitely not chic,
Review 32:10euro was excessive for breakfast and we got even less food on the second morning.
Review 33:Nice hotel with helpful staff. A nice family feel. Great to have a lift. Nice big room.
Review 34:Breakfast very expensive - 10 euro p.p. for 1 bread roll, 1 croissant, 1 pastry. There was bread available to toast but it was not replenished.
Review 35:Good location. All staff friendly and very helpful. There is a lift. Parking no problems out front.
Review 36:Speed at which cleaning staff emptied rooms in the morning
Review 37:We arrived in the late afternoon and the person on the desk was veryhelpful, and gave us lots of information
Review 38:Staff were exceptionally helpful. Hotel was comfortable, well located for walks in the National Park
Review 39:The breakfast
Review 40:Very nice hotal within easy drive to mountain attractions. Excellent restuarant.
Review 41:The hotel could do with an upgrade - carpets, tv etc. I think this is underway.
Review 42:Good location. Clean, quiet.
