Reviews for Le Pavillon Bleu Hotel Restaurant
Review 1:First room in annexe had zero WiFi - manageress suggested that I should have requested one that did see it at time of booking! (Late on second day swapped me to a room that did.) Restaurant served an all-you-can-eat buffet on the first (Saturday) night - unfortunately the other guests had eaten all they could, only a few scraps left by the time I got there; closed without warning or explanation the other nights (early September, their website claimed it would be open until the 15th - of the previous year, admittedly!)
Review 2:Location two minutes walk from Plage du Pigeonnier
Review 3:Bring a travel kettle as none in room. No air con, shower basic. Breakfast 8 euros for small continental.
Review 4:Near to the beach and nice outside area at front of hotel. Piano in lobby which my son was allowed to play.
Review 5:Lovely little hotel, basic but everything necessary was there. Lovely restaurant and little bar we even had another guest playing piano while we were eating. Very friendly owners. highly recommended
Review 6:Very close to a clean safe beach with toilets and lifeguard
Review 7:Room smelt damp, and this made us feel uncomfortable.
Review 8:Location was good
Review 9:The room needed a clean and it smelt damp ,very basic. Around the hotel needed tiding up ,some TLC.
Review 10:The friendliness of the proprietors. Especially towards our 8 year old Granddaughter who was born and lives in France,
Review 11:Not a dislike but anyone with mobility issues needs to check access - I was on second floor and I'm not sure there's a lift. Some distance from central Royan and rail station (better by car/cycle). There are bus services around Royan mainly daytime.
Review 12:The hotel is rather 60s style as is much of Royan. (Tourist info includes architecture walks etc). Don't expect a standard modernised hotel. Situated in a quiet residential area, 2 minutes walk from the attractive corniche coast line overlooking the Gironde estuary and also 5 minutes walk to the stylish Pontaillac beach (choice of restaurants, bars, surf and local shops). Near to Gironde ferry across to Pte de Grave. Close to Velodysee cycle route.
Review 13:Broken tiles on patio. Lack of enough power points Broken loungers Apparent lack of maintenance Walls in places falling down.
