Reviews for Comptoir des Latitudes - Hôtel du Centre

Review 1:steep stairs, no lift; difficult parking

Review 2:Central location, plenty of choice of restaurants ( Restaurant des Remparts near the cathedral is very good value)

Review 3:N/A

Review 4:This was our second stay at the Hotel. We were staying about an hour away and decided as we enjoyed it so much the first time to come back for an overnight stay. Lovely Hotel, excellent location, lovely rooms and very good breakfast

Review 5:Location is fantastic. No parking but a car park right beside the hotel. 7€ overnight. We had a dog with us and that was no problem. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. Empty cafetière. Not a good selection of fruit. Felt it could have been better for 8.50Dinner was good

Review 6:A lot of homeless drunks hanging around outside (not the hotels fault)

Review 7:Nice people, friendly staff, just a nice hotel in a great location. Breakfast excellent and meal in the restaurant excellent

Review 8:excellent location. easy check in. booked at the last minute. right next to park/river with Bastille Day festivities. Watched fireworks from our balcony!

Review 9:We were not given the code to get into the hotel , luckily a couple of the residents heard us and shouted down the code otherwise we would have been locked out all night !!

Review 10:Excellent barman, fantastic service from the moment we arrived

Review 11:Size of room and toilet facilities did not justify price compared to,for example,Ibis. Too big a price hike for the French experience.

Review 12:Friendly staff and good breakfast.

Review 13:Our room was immediately above the bar and the level of the ''music'' was a bit high although not enough to annoy.

Review 14:The hotel is a modern business in a lovely old house which has been tastefully brought into the 21st century. The staff were really on the ball and were very helpful to an aged group!

Review 15:The friendliness of the staff, Really could not do enough for you. The excellent restaurant downstairs and loved the quirky modern decoration. Do not hesitate booking this hotel. Superb location and a 2 minute walk into a lovely town with all the shops and restaurants you need.

Review 16:Didn't like the sickly smell of the cleaning product around the hotel!

Review 17:perfect for a night out with friends, walking distance to bars, restaurants and shopping Lovely smiley welcome on arrival. Room was nice and clean, good shower. Lovely staircase. Had a very nice good value lunch whilst waiting for friends. After a long day and late night it was blissful to get into a warm cosy bed.

Review 18:Very small room overlooking main roundabout, little sleep due to noise. Toilet seat broken and dangerous. Downstairs communal toilet broken. Always ask for a side room

Review 19:The hotel is on the cheaper side, reception quick and efficient

Review 20:Liked everything. Location was good. Clean. In theory lack of parking is bad but there is a very good, decently priced parking garage effectively in back (maybe 200m).

Review 21:- There was no elevator up to the rooms, however this wasn't a problem for me. (It is only 3 floors maximum).

Review 22:Fabulous location, I had a view of the river and the cute carousel next to it. Only 2 minutes walk over the bridge to the centre but there are also lots of shops and amenities even closer. 15 minutes walk to the train station. The staff are extremely friendly and are happy to speak a bit of English if you need. Good shower and very comfortable bed. The room stays quite dark if you draw the curtains. It was great to have the bar downstairs, with staff getting into the 'football world cup spirit' and the noise did not carry up to my room. I was also able to leave my bags there all day until I left the city in the evening. Special thanks to Vanessa!

Review 23:We liked everything about our stay. The perfect location on theCharente, at the end of a park, within walking distance to mosteverything. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. This hotel isdecorated in Art Deco style, which we love. Big room for Europe.Surprisingly great for such a low price.

Review 48:Rooms, room's chocolate colour scheme, poor space, noisy if window open, smells in corridor, poor parking.

Review 49:Breakfast, near centre

Review 50:The friendly staff, excellent location, comfy beds and clean room

Review 51:Our room was at the front and was noisy so we kept the windows shut. As the weather was very hot, this made the room stuffy. A room round the side would have been better.

Review 52:Friendly staff, good buffet breakfast, central location.

Review 53:Really good value for money, polite staff, fantastic location and easy to find, not much noise. Very comfortable, stylish rooms. Impressive hotel considering the low price you pay (with booking.com offer) but even normal prices aren't that bad. I didn't use the restaurant facilities so can't comment! Will definitely visit again!
