Reviews for L'Azur Hotel Citotel

Review 1:Limited evening menu but good steak and chips.

Review 2:The room and bathroom were in good order, clean and well maintained. There was easy free parking and we had a friendly welcome from the owner who spoke fairly good English. Breakfast was good, eggs, ham, croissant, bread, cereal, etc. We'd be happy to revisit and recommend. No frills, just good clean, functional room and service.

Review 3:Difficult to find. Excellent décor and facilities but, with a bit more money spent on a "wet room" shower, the shower would not have leaked under the shower door.

Review 4:A bright clean hotel with wide corridors. Staff very helpful

Review 5:This is not really a complaint but you need a car to get into town as it's about 2 mile away from anywhere!

Review 6:Very clean hotel with large rooms, on site secure parking and very friendly staff.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:Location was fabulous, minutes from the main road to the motorway near Limoges, but no road noise Very near to St Junien a lovely town with many restaurants. Very clean hotel with large grounds, and comfortable rooms.

Review 9:We arrived in wasp season. One of us was allergic to wasps. So had to keep everything closed. Not their fault. The shower head was broken so had to use the hand. But not a big deal.

Review 10:Very spacious rooms and very friendly staff. Great for staying a night or two. The villages in the area are beautiful. This is a family business and they were very friendly. They called us in advance to check when we will arrive.

Review 11:Ease of access to the main road (15 mins from Limoges) ,family room spacious and clean. Very close to the town of St Junien with plenty of choice of restaurants. Very close to Lidl for food for our onward journey and also to Super U for petrol/diesel fill up.

Review 12:- not a complaint as I knew it before the booking but it is on an industrial estate thus no where to walk to in the evening if that is a requirement

Review 13:- excellent staff, couldn't be more helpful - BIG rooms, clean and fresh - secure parking, no worries for my motorcycle - good food, great breakfast, all catering on site

Review 14:The pillows were not very comfortable. Breakfast could have more variety.

Review 15:The room was spacious, as well as the bathroom. The location is excellent, next to the exit of the N141 motorway and near Oradour sur Glane. It is a small hotel that seems amost as family-run. The recepcionist was very friendly and helpful.

Review 16:The rooms do not have any tea/coffee making facilities, or hairdryer.

Review 17:Pleasant, helpful staff that seem genuinely glad that you have chosen to stay there. Clean rooms, spacious and in good order. The evening meal was excellent and good value. Quiet location, no road noise, but just a 5 minute drive from the town centre. We will probably stay there again next year.

Review 18:The restaurant doesn't open on the weekend, so it we had to drive back into town to eat.

Review 19:The rooms are enormous and the staff are friendly, it's a good base for exploring the area.

Review 20:Breakfast was expensive and not good. Restaurant was not open at all the two nights we stayed. No wifi and on the outskirts of town. Should of spent a little more and stayed in town.

Review 21:The hotel was cheap and comfy, clean and the staff were very helpful.

Review 22:no complaints at all

Review 23:the man on reception was terrific.nice and quiet location ,food good ,will use again

Review 25:Restaurant not open on a Friday evening.

Review 26:Great Breakfast

Review 34:Normally room very clean but found dirty nappy under one bed!

Review 37:Large bedroom and Bathroom Very clean.Reception very helpful with info re eating places. He was a very pleasant person.

Review 38:The lack of facilities and poor sanitary. No restaurant available with no forewarning.

Review 42:Although check in was 4o'clock helpful staff allowed me to book in early

Review 43:Quiet and comfortable. Good links into the road network. The cheerful staff made us welcome and had a great sense of humour.

Review 44:Wifi very slow needs to improve and if possible allbran for breakfast

Review 45:The manager and staff"

Review 46:nothing

Review 47:good price ideal for an overnight stay very friendly

Review 48:Breakfast could be better. Need cold milk for your cereals. Choice of cereals could be better.

Review 49:Everything was OK

Review 50:Access to Oradour

Review 51:Nothing!

Review 52:Easy to find, close to main road, large room and bathroom, reasonable meal at the onsite restaurant.

Review 53:Nothing at all

Review 54:Staff great, room great, food was excellent. Excellent value for money

Review 55:the restaurant is closed saturdays and sundays

Review 56:location and price

Review 57:Had to drive into town for dinner.

Review 58:Staff and welcome.

Review 59:Close to Oradour. Parking lot. Good breakfast. Clean. Large bathroom.

Review 60:Location and value for money

Review 61:Location - middle of nowhere!

Review 62:Menu du jour, price of wine

Review 63:Did not try the evening meal, but would fully recommend visiting Le Bistro in St Junnien town centre behind the church which is owned & run by the chef & his sister, an excellent place to eat at a brilliant price.

Review 64:Rooms large & clean, good bathroom. Large safe carpark. Easy access to Oradur sur Glane site. Breakfast satisfactory.

Review 65:No evening restaurant. Nearest town some 3 miles way....nearly 20 eurosby taxi each way !!!

Review 66:Nice clean large rooms with sizeable bathrooms with great shower

Review 67:the extraordinary smell of raw sewage in the children's room in the morning which was so strong that even the hotel manager winced!! oh and the view of the end of the industrial estate where the hotel is situated! oh and the fact that the restaurant was full because a whole women's rugby team were staying (maybe explaining the smell?!)

Review 68:Nice quiet location close to town. Staff friendly. Breakfast good. Not far to go for evening meal as restaurant closed when we were there on a Friday.

Review 69:It is very much a travellers' hotel, so the service, ambiance and layout is very serviceable and basic. A good overnight stop, but not a good choice for a longer stay.

Review 70:Very friendly reception, low cost but good value hotel, reasonable meal for the money, spacious rooms, plenty of free car parking and good facilities

Review 71:no problems at all,, as long as you realise the motel is on the outskirts of st junien and some form of transport is required to get into the town centre then you wont be disappointed.

Review 72:this is a modern clean motel with spacious quality rooms and very helpful staff. There is ample secure parking within the hotel ground. There is also a nice Chinese buffet within walking distance if don't fancy eating in the restaurant.

Review 73:Unfortunately the hotel website does not mention that the restaurant is closed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. However, there is an excellent Chinese restaurant just 10 minutes walk from the hotel which is open 7 days a week. There was no hair dryer or tea/coffee making facilities provided in the room.

Review 74:Easy to find hotel with large car park. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are large with king size double beds. The D675 road heading south to Perigueux is superb if riding a motorcycle.

Review 75:AAA+++ for the stuff!!! I'm a driver who enter hotels very often at night and the owner was very helpful with giving me an access to my room by phone call!!!

Review 76:We were very disappointed that we were not informed in advance that the hotel restaurant is closed fridays thru sundays. Even getting a cold drink on their closed terrace seemed a bit difficult to obtain... We just used this hotel as a stopover driving down south to our holidays so did not need much other than a bed and food. Breakfast is basic but ok

Review 77:Very clean, strange though to see full carpet in the bathroom.

Review 78:The hotel was overrun with young girls running up and down the corridorsshouting and screaming all evening. Some sort of sports meeting wasbeing held in the hotel. We had booked a table for 8pm in the restaurantbut were told by the manager (without any apology) that it was notpossible to dine in the restaurant as it was fully booked! We showed hima copy of our email which stated the restaurant reservation and he justsaid 'Non'. He was very aloof next morning when we checked out.So no, we wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Review 79:There is no kettle or tea/coffee facilities in the room but wealways take our own in France. Tv channels in French language only. Iwould recommend eating elsewhere than the restaurant. The food was okbut only ok, being far too expensive for what it was and its quality.

Review 80:Good parking; location just a short drive from eating places, fuelstation and hypermarket; spacious, comfortable room. Near to Oradour surGlane, being the purpose of my visit.

Review 81:Breakfast could have been better.

Review 82:This accommodation, though more plain than many, certainly suits the need of the traveler who is looking for a clean, no-nonsense stay for the night.

Review 83:They made a mistake with our reservation and would not lket us stay, even though they had room. After much delay they took us to a more expensive hotel in town and then billed us for both. Never go there!

Review 84:Location in an industrial/commercial zone. Located a few minutes drive from St Junien. Definitely not walkable. Although there is a restaurant it did not appear to be open. It would be nice to know this at booking time.

Review 85:Nice staff, big room, very clean, good value.

Review 86:Travelling with disabled person, could have had more aids in disabledroom, but still manageable.

Review 87:Friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant. Spacious rooms. Goodbudget hotel.

Review 88:No dislikes.

Review 89:Rooms very spacious and clean. Location close to Oradour historical site. Breakfast very good. Recommend eating dinner there as very few restaurants close by.

Review 90:No hot water for drink, and no washing machine.

Review 91:Family room is not big ,but very clean and deco is new. There is a super market just 2km near hotel, but close before 8:30pm.

Review 92:Would have liked to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Review 93:Rooms spacious and well designed and decorated. Food in restaurant very good.Staff very courteous and willing to please. Easy access to and from hotel to surrounding areas. Secure carpark. Check in/out times very practicable.

Review 94:The receptionist was extremely welcoming and helpful. The room and its facilities were exceptionally clean and tidy. A good evening meal was available and breakfast was also good. I would stay here again, and the service and comfort made me pick-up the brochure which lists your other hotels.

Review 95:Too far from the town

Review 96:It was very clean, receptionist was very efficient. We were a bit miffed that the restaurant was open only to a touring rugby team,we did find though a super buffet Chinese restaurant in the industrial area near the hotel. Breakfast was an experience, about twenty rugby players, us and some others all happy eating breakfast! Loads of parking and a surprisingly quiet night.

Review 97:the biggest let down for our stay was a lack of air con or even a fan when we arrived the outside temp was around 36-38c , with very high humidity and no breeze during the night the room was so hot it actually made me feel ill,the only way i got round this was to stand at the window for 2 hrs for a little bit of fresh air, when you've been driving all day this is the last thing you need . i would have happily paid an extra 20euros per night for air con strangely the landing had air con but this was switched off during the night

Review 98:rooms large , we had a double and 2 twins and there was plenty of space , hotel very clean , breakfast in the morning was very good , staff very pleasant and helpful quite location , not far from motorway

Review 99:Disappointing that the restauarant and bar were closed on Saturdayevening. We expected these to be open and did not want to travel intotown after a long drive. No air con was disappointing.

Review 100:Very friendly and helpful staff.Room was fantastic and loads of space for a family of 5.

Review 101:The hotel has no air conditioning or cooling fans in the rooms. Theweather was very hot, mid 30's and therefore the accommodation wasuncomfortable. Hotel located some 3km from the town and is on the edgeof an industrial estate.

Review 102:Reasonable choice of evening meal and of good standard. Secureovernight parking.

Review 103:Disapointed the restaurant was closed on the evening we were there.

Review 104:Have stayed at this hotel before and find the standard very good. Nicechinese restaurant within easy walk from hotel. Quiet location and wouldrecommend this Hotel.

Review 105:We feel that although it was nice having a carpet in the bathrooms, itwould have been better with some other floor covering .

Review 106:We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the hotel. It was veryclean. Lovely large rooms. Very good parking. Breakfast was also verygood with a large choice. We are surprised that it is only 2 stars. Wewould stay again and definatly recommend to our friends.

Review 107:I would suggest that air-conditioning in the rooms would be a great comfort in summer. Ceiling fans could be a good alternative.

Review 108:This hotel was quite a surprise! A delightful and welcoming hotel near the village of Oradour sur Glan in St Junien. It is very well run, relaxed and the accommodation very good as is the restaurant/ bar The proprietor was very friendly and helpful and the rooms very large and comfortable. The hotel is situated on spacious grounds and very secure. Excellent value for money in both the hotel and the restaurant. Our pup was welcomed also!

Review 109:I am surprised that there is no tea or coffee facilities in the room..After a long car drive, it would have been nice to relax and make a cup(coffee/tea).

Review 110:Clean and tidy,, all ok

Review 111:The staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was spacious, quiet, warm and very clean. The parking was easy and secure. The location was very easy and accessible for road links.

Review 112:Friendly staff who spoke good English that was very helpful for me. The room was large & quiet. I enjoyed breakfast and dinner along with being convenient to the highway.

Review 113:Excellent in every way apart from lack of a drinks machine.

Review 114:Quiet, but convenient location for our annual North/South journey through France between UK and Spain

Review 115:Used as overnight stop Spain to UK. Easy to find clean and comfortable accepted our Border Collie for small charge.

Review 116:No fridge. No tea or coffee making facilities

Review 117:Close to the highway. Clean and modern

Review 118:The restaurant was closed and the beds were a little uncomfortable

Review 119:It was clean and easy to travel to.

Review 120:The breakfast was meagre.

Review 121:Extremely friendly and helpful girl at reception.
