Review 1：Unsightly mildew patches on ceiling above bed. Not a big issue as you wouldn't notice unless you look up, but I noticed a previous visitor had also mentioned this yet they still remain.

Review 3：Lovely rural stay. Excellent location when touring with a car. Friendly staff. Comfortable rooms and living areas, good breakfast in pleasant surroundings. Wifi access slow. We found a friendly, local bar/ cafe " Sidera Abel" with food including excellent jamon iberica, fried sardines, grilled squid and "a plus" ...the bartender was great at pouring the Somarroza Sidera....a must!!! Loved our stay with this accommodation we extended an additional night. Many sights to see in the area.
Review 4：Hector and staff were very accommodating, it was clean, well located, breakfast was good, Internet was not good but hey we didn't want to sit around on a tablet all day with so much to see and do so that has not been included in my score. Would we go back ? Definitely !! Thanks Hector.
Review 5：Rural location with lovely sea views. Although it didn't have a bar - it was possible to get beer and soft drinks, and free coffee was available at any time of day/night. Despite the lack of a restaurant, the hotel were able to give us details of a taxi driver (Alejandro) to take us downtown in the evening (and pick us up again). Very reasonable cost, and saved having to find somewhere to park (which was a bit of a problem in the town itself).
Review 6：My first time traveling to San Vicente was a success in great part because of where I stayed. The views are incomparable and I loved the fact that I could sleep with my windows open to fresh air, the sounds of waves on the rocks below and the cowbells in a nearby field. It was lovely and very hard to leave! The beds were comfortable, the room spotless and Hector and his niece were incredibly helpful and very nice people.
Review 7：The only small negative (and its understandable given the closeness to the sea and the damp air) was there were small grey spots on the ceiling. But this was such a small thing and in no way affected how much we enjoyed our stay.
Review 8：Location Location Location. The owner and other staff were lovely. There were drinks available at all times. The room was comfortable. The breakfast was very good - the best we had in the 4 places we stayed.

Let us use the fridge/freezer in the kitchen and kitchen equipment to picnic one evening. Seems a long way from town but only 15-20 minutes walk altho the return is steep uphill. Excellent bed and shower.
Review 20：Not very good acoustic insulation, but the other guests during our stay were not noisy. So it was ok. Walking down to the village and up again may not suit everybody: 10 min. down, 15 up a rather steep hill. So it is easier to take the car down to village where there is enough parking space.

Review 54：I tried to cancel 1 hour after I booked due to travel disruptions. The manager however would not let me since I was barely within the 24 hr cancelation time period. I was told I had to pay for the first night if I cancelled or was a no show. Absolutely no help on that. I managed to make it late by switching around some transportation though. The breakfast is advertised as a Continental breakfast. However it was 3 pieces of toast, a small cup of juice and a coffee. Hardly worth 4 euros. I put in a special request in the comment box since it was a honeymoon stay, unfortunately there was absolutely no difference in treatment or even a mention of it. Probably because the host spoke no english. I'd recommend this place because it is romantic and very cute and secluded if you are into that. just skip the breakfast.

Fortunately she discovered my stupidity before the Guardian Civil arrived. Brilliant location on a headland with a rocky bay 5mins walk away.
Review 58：Nice rural and coastal outlook with clean country air. If you enjoy walking and don't have a vehicle we found it a pleasant easy walk down the hill and into the town with access to shops and a multitude of restaurants and coffee shops. The old castle is just up the hill from the town center and worth a look. After publishing my last novel, Changing Pillion I found some great inspiration for my next one wandering through this nice little seaside town.

Review 69：The location is beautiful - the posada is on a hill overlooking the sea, surrounded by grazing land. The owner is very nice and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable, and there is a nice central lounge area with TV, tables, and couches for relaxing after a day of walking in the countryside. The town of San Vicente de la Barquera is a 5 minute drive from the hotel, where are lots of small seafood restaurants, as well as a medieval castle and romanesque church.
Review 70：Fabulous. We loved it here. Incredible scenes of the countryside and coast right out our window with the sounds of cowbells and crashing waves. Hector is a perfect host, answering all our questions, giving us wine glasses for our picnic meals and helping us with our spanish. We walked from the bus station and found it enjoyable.
