Reviews for Abacus Hôtel
Review 1:Shared shower on different floor.
Review 2:Convenient for harbour side cafes, restaurants, town side market. Owner put bike in storeroom for overnight. Breakfast on 1st floor terrace.
Review 3:The room and hotel in general looked clean, I got to the room and there was a fresh breeze coming through since they had the balcony doors open- dropped off my stuff and left. Got back at night and the stench of damp and mould was unbearable- had to open the balcony up and wait for quite some time for the smell to start to ease off. The smell was a million times worse in the bathroom- and I was so disgusted with the bath tub, as I drew the curtain to look at it, that awful mouldy smell was so strong I felt sick. You can't see any mould and everything is visibly clean but the smell is awful. I couldn't wait to get out of the room. So I would not recommend this hotel at all based on this (and it's a big thing!), it's a shame as the staff are so helpful and the location is great.
Review 4:Location was great, very close to shops, cafes and the beach. Good wifi service which works even a few metres away from the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. I got locked out of my room late at night and called them (as the reception is unmanned at night) and within 2 minutes someone arrived at the hotel to help me get into my room.
Review 5:we could not get in at the hotel ,the door had a password, there was a phone number on the door to dial but no phone so we dialled from our mobile but it did not work,35 mins we had to wait,French couple came dialled the number and waited for about 17 mins,a French guy in charge came and opened the door, but we were not seen first ,again we had to wait for 25 mins, next we were seen but there was no English spoken so the guy called his friend but she could not make it so we had to sort out everything on the phone, plus no lifts we had to go up the stairs on the 4th floor, the French had the 2nd floor, breakfast was not included. we will go back but not in that hotel.
Review 6:location of the abacus hotel and very easy to find, shops and the surround area are the best.miles of shops and markets to wonder about and lots of things to do ,very very clean and tidy place, yes we would recommend it to any one to go there but hunt around for the right hotel.
