Reviews for Résidence Néméa Les Chalets d'Estive

Review 1:Pay for wifi and TV in the apartment:( - check the strength of the network before you pay for access. Old pillows. bathroom sink smelled like it had a mould problem. A cleaning "welcome package" with some very basic supplies would have been nice

Review 2:Great location - quiet but within walking distance of the centre; friendly helpful staff, spacious apartment with well equipped kitchen, pool with good temperature also on the colder days. wonderful view from balcony.

Review 3:Cauterets has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities. The town centre is within easy walking distance of the residence and everyone we dealt with was very friendly.

Review 4:Kitchenette area restrictive since it allowed only one person to enter at a time. Our top floor appartment had low ceilings in bedrooms and bathroom which restricted movement of our taller family members (not possible to stand upright in shower for example). 15 - 20 minute walk to down to town (bread shop) highlights that location is further out than a lot of Cauterets properties. Plenty of parking but access is steep. Disposal of glass bottles is 250m down the road. Swimming pool available but we did not see it in use and it needed a clean.

Review 5:Lovely views from our top floor appartment. Good size and well equipped for what we needed for three nights. Separate bathroom and WC was appreciated as it made early departures for walking more efficient. Very hot water and excellent water pressure. We would certainly consider staying here again.

Review 6:We liked the manager he spoke English and helped us with our plans for the day, went out of his way to ensure us a wonderful experience. Location is fantastic close to the city.

Review 15:1.The fact that we couldn't access our room until after 5pm. It's difficult when traveling long distances to time arrivals precisely. When we arrived at 4pm, the reception was unmanned with a sign in French saying what hours and days it was manned - pretty scary if you're not French and some days it is not manned at all! We tried phoning but got a recorded message in French. 2.A dishwasher was supplied, but no dishwashing tablets-who travels with a supply of dishwashing tablets? We don't very often get a dishwasher, but any other time the tablets have always been supplied. 3.When checking out, before our bond was returned, the manager checked the apartment, which was fine. However, we didn't like that he even counted out all the knives, forks and spoons in front of us! It was rather insulting.

Review 16:Price a bit high for a "bring your own sheets, soap, towels" facility. Staff is fair.

Review 17:I liked the proximity to the ski slopes and ski rentals. Kitchen is well furnished with plates, glasses and everything you need to cook.

Review 18:The extras (for bedlinen and final clean that we hadn't spotted on the conditions and made it quite pricey) and the layout of the apartment, with only room (and a single chair) for 1 on the balcony that was right next to our neighbour and odd layout (no light in kitchen, loo downstairs but sink upstairs!), no TV, need to pay a deposit. You also need to bring everything here - kitchen cloths, washing up liquid etc, which meant a quick dash to the supermarket on day 1.

Review 19:Friendly staff, dog friendly, good location close to walking and the town. Clean apartment with lots of hot water for the bath!

Review 20:The layout of the room was really odd. There were four inner doors and it was like a maze. There weren't any double/queen beds. My husband and I had to sleep in twin beds.

Review 21:The apartment like amenities were great. The staff was excellent. Spoke English (+) and had some amazing recommendations for hiking in the area.

Review 22:Not a thing.Everything is as described.

Review 23:The staff was really helpful. The house for 6 sleeps are small but morethan enough for a family with children. The location is great.

Review 24:The staff were excellent and went out of their way to ensure our arrival and departure went smoothly.

Review 25:They turned out the heating system during the night, so we got a wonderful flue the next day.

Review 26:Price

Review 27:The furnishing is pretty spartan.

Review 28:Great, warm, helpful welcome. Good value lots of space.

Review 29:Friendly, helpful staff. Good accommodation at a reasonable price. The design of the building was nice and in keeping with the area.

Review 30:No toilet roll, Soap, sheets or towels provided.

Review 31:The friendly and helpful staff. The clean and warm Chalets. The location.

Review 32:To the reach the place when it is snowing with out a snowchain is very difficult.

Review 33:The staff was very friendly and helpful.
