Reviews for Hôtel Le Bois Joli

Review 1:The staff was incredibly kind and gracious to my family when we arrived. The food downstairs was delicious and the hotel and town were quaint and wonderful.

Review 2:Room small. When we stay it was very cold at night but they did not poperate the heating system. Breakfast very expensive.

Review 3:Centeral location. Great dinner at reasonable price. Staff Ok. Free public parking nearby.Wifi good in room.

Review 4:Town centre location meant we were woken early by the bin lorries. The children's bunk bed was at the entrance to the room and was totally airless and stuffy so after first night had to leave door open between the two parts of the room.

Review 5:Excellent location in the centre of town so close to all amenities. Exceptionally friendly staff always greeted us with a smile.

Review 6:This was not really a problem, but the desk was not manned, so that the room keys were hanging where anyone could just take them, a bit of a security issue. But I assume that the restaurant personnel nearby kept an eye on them.

Review 7:The location was terrific, on the main square in town. The restaurant was selection and food was excellent, with excellent wait staff.

Review 8:All I can think of is that the bath towels could be larger ... but that's being really picky!

Review 9:We were really delighted with our three night stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Le Bois Joli. Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and English is spoken. Our room on the third floor was really comfortable and charming with lovely soft furnishings. More than enough space for two and no less than four French windows opening out onto the front with mountain views. Ample cupboard space (important with all the skiing paraphernalia). Bathroom was modern without being clinical - the bath typically small, but very welcome after a day's skiing and the shower hot and also powerful for one working from the taps. We ate twice in the evenings in their cheerful and popular bar/restaurant (closed on Wednesdays) and weren't disappointed. Food was traditional, fresh and delicious - the gateaux basque is not to be missed! And if you have overdone the skiing in the morning, you can while away a few hours in the afternoon at a table on their sunny pavement area watching the world go by. We reckoned we were pretty well placed for the ski lift, in comparison with some of the other hotels in Cauterets: realistically a 10+ minute, ski-booted walk away but you are already halfway up the town's hill. If you are driving you can park a car close to the ski lift and leave your boots and ski's there!

Review 10:We knew that it was central location and we would have to park in a public car park. We were able to pull up outside the hotel to unload our luggage briefly and this might have posed a problem if it was the height of the season and it was very busy. However, the parking was not too far away.

Review 11:Good central location. Friendly helpful staff. Very large room at back of hotel. Large bathroom with powerful shower - modern suite.

Review 12:The place is very old and not very well maintained.

Review 13:Location is very good in the middle of the city with a terrace and great atmosphere Cauterets is a good place to do mountain trekking and the hotel is nicely situated. Staff was very helpful and friendly

Review 14:Don't really have a receptions desk-but this it doesn't cost problems-there always some one around to help.

Review 15:Room-beautifully decorated with view of mountains, very comfortable bed.very warm and helpful owner & staffs.the cafe/bar dowm stairs is excellent for relax & watch the worlds go by...

Review 16:EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT

Review 17:THE STAFF IS REALLY FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT

Review 18:Really lovely people in a lovely place..

Review 19:small room ,expensive breakfast, the entrance to the hotel is through the restaurant

Review 20:location

Review 21:Rather expensive breakfast! Omelet costs 13 eur.

Review 22:Central location! Comfortable superior room...But very noisy street in mornings... The owner speaks English but staff does not..

Review 23:The price of the breakfast is high, 14 Euro for a local breakfast. There is no parking in the hotel, but there is a covered parking near the hotel that costs 12 Euro per day or it is possible to park along the street.

Review 24:The room is really cosy and nice. clean and with a nice view over the main square with the montains in the background.

Review 25:The food was basic but we were happy to eat at the hotel since there really weren't any other options in October as many restaurants close at this time. Margaret & Ken, Sydney

Review 26:We stayed early October,2013 and could not have been more comfortable in a delightful room at the front of the hotel. All the staff were very pleasant and helpful in whatever we needed and were forthcoming on special walks to take. The proprietor provided very timely warning of road closures which could have prevented us reaching our next destination in time.

Review 27:Noisy street below, with street cleaning cart early in the morning and no sound-proofing Breakfast too expensive: where is the range?

Review 28:Friendly proprietor and staff, comfortable room and very clean. Good mattresses. Very central location and atmospheric.

Review 29:no guest car parking, wifi not available in bedroom

Review 30:excellent location, good service

Review 31:Very comfortable and clean room. Enjoyed our stay greatly.
