Reviews for Les Orangers
Review 1:WIFI coverage in room not so good, but great in the main area. Lack of information about the region available at the accommodation.
Review 2:Clean comfortable room, good breakfasts. Fairly close to St Paul de Vence. Quiet area. English spoken which was a great help when I was sick.
Review 3:The garden is beautiful but take bug spray as we were pestered by so many mosquitos!
Review 4:The location was good. The host was so friendly and relaxed. Breakfast was fabulous and the with the best coffee! The pool was great but a little cold for the time of the year we went. Great atmosphere, will definitely be back!
Review 5:Wifi not available in our room
Review 6:Beautiful location garden and pool very well set out and relaxing Thomas and Marchesa great hosts Fantastic restaurant les Oliviers rouges just in front
Review 7:A delightful haven after a hot day exploring and the pool was just wonderful! It was simply charming and instead of wining and dining out... we opted on several occasions over the week to buy bread, salad and wine and enjoy on the terrace overlooking the garden! Spacious and comfortable room! Friendly hosts! Loved it!
Review 8:Air conditioning and even a mini fridge in the room would have made the stay more comfortable.
Review 9:Stunning location, grounds and pool, close to a beautiful restaurant and easy bus trip into town.
Review 10:Everything was incredible!
Review 11:The grounds are incredible! The home is located in the perfect place - so close to everything! We were at the beach in Niece and the same day we swam at the pool and went to dinner at St Paul De Vence!
Review 12:no air conditioning, no facilities for getting drinks during the day so a kettle would have been nice
Review 13:the hotel was very close to the village. The rooms were spacious and the gardens were lovely
Review 14:It would be useful if the rooms had mineral water or access to be able to buy - perhaps an ' honesty box' in the reception area.
Review 15:The buildings, the garden. The breakfasts
Review 16:What a gem, I loved this property and its' wonderful host, Thomas! Peaceful and lovely, nestled among orange and jasmine trees, with plants everywhere to frame the gorgeous hillside views.
Review 17:If there is something to tell here, it would be that it takes a bit time to get there up the hill
Review 18:Such lovely place in the hills of Nice, own oranges, perfect personal service, lovely furnished and renovated. A pearl for those who look for silence and feeling home. Historical village of St. Paul in walking distance
Review 19:Lack of tea/coffee facilities. Limited guest lounge space.
Review 20:Well located for St. Paul and bus to Nice and train station. Comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom.
Review 21:Everything was great!
Review 22:We had a fabulous fall weekend at the charming Les Orangers. We loved the location within easy walking distance to St. Paul but outside the hub-bub of the walled village. Our hosts were very accommodating and offered us many helpful recommendations.
Review 23:Great room, pool and breakfast. Thomas could not have been more helpful with advice on where to go and how to get there. I'd suggest that a car is the best way to go as the nearest bus stop is not far away but an uphill road to drag your bags up. St Paul de Vence is only a 15 minute walk away
Review 24:Bed was not great, get first floor room if you can
Review 25:An old school Mediterranean villa, characterful and charming within easy walking distance of ancient Saint Paul de Vence. Close to Nice, Monaco, St trope etc. Easy to find, the real deal and brekkie included.
Review 26:The road behind the property gets a lot of traffic.
Review 27:Our host was tremendously helpful with tips and recommendations, the setting couldn't have been prettier, and it was convenient to the lovely Saint Paul de Vence.
Review 28:Nothing.
Review 29:Lovely hotel set in the midst of beautiful gardens in a very peaceful location but not far from all tourist attractions. The hotel exudes calm and serenity. Very clean. Good breakfast served by our very pleasant host. Couldn't do any better than this for a small hotel in the St Paul de Vence area.
Review 30:The only problem is wifi since one has to go and sit at the reception which is not available late in the evening. For those who need to access the internet to work in the evening from the room, this is not possible.
Review 31:The location of the residence is wonderful because it is in the midst of a garden. The small terrace overlooking the garden was much appreciated.
Review 32:Traffic noise, gardens needed tending.
Review 33:The setting (gardens, pool, terraces); the beautiful stone building itself; the breakfasts; its location was handy to the bus ,near a lovely restaurant and only a 12 min. walk to St. Paul de Vence. Also, the owner found us an excellent driver. which was helpful .
Review 34:Only criticism but was no fault of the hosts, was that the noise from the traffic on the road below could be heard when one retired to bed.
Review 35:The fact that it was so relaxing. Breakfast was lovely and Thomas and his partner were so helpful. Very convenient for the bus stop to Nice or Vence, yet only a short walk to St. Paul de Vence.
Review 36:Absolute minimum items provided in the room. Provision of the following will improve the guests stay: Trash bin in the bedroom Ironing board and iron Hair dryer Cloths to wash and dry dishes Small hot water geysers to be installed in each room, water takes close to 10 minutes to warm after tap has been opened. Reception and area where breakfast served smell like animal (Cat).

Review 71:Les Orangers is in a beautiful setting, surrounded by flowers and orange trees. The communal pool and sunbeds provided the perfect way to relax. Thomas and Marquesa were very friendly and helpful. The room itself was cool and well presented (we loved the antique furniture!), with a huge bed and very clean and spacious bathroom. A delicious breakfast was served daily on the terrace. It's about a 15 minute walk to St Paul de Vence, which is a fantastic town with spectacular views. Highly recommended!
Review 72:This is a very nice bed and breakfast with comfortable, well furnished rooms in an attractive ambiance. Beautiful garden, nice pool. Hospitable staff/owner. Everything clicks.
Review 73:The only downside was traffic noise through the day.
Review 74:The ambiance was wonderful. A good size room with the toilet located separately to the bathroom. Lovely decor, with comfortable beds. A terrace for each room overlooking a beautiful garden. Parking was available (although tight) and it was a 15min walk to the old village.
Review 75:All was perfect, for longer trips would be nice to have a kettle and some tea/coffee in room for night or a central machine for all be fine
Review 76:perfect decour, shabby chic, comfortable rooms, management very welcoming and gracious- our key actually broke in the lock- the manager stated ..these things happen and left it at that, some establishments would have tried to charge for this , we appreciated this Would recommend this hotel to all, although 20 mins away from nice the road up to the hotel through the mountains is breath taking.
Review 77:Nothing. If only all chambres d'hotes were like this!
Review 78:The Orangers is a very special place which reflects the personalities and design sensitivity of the owners, Thomas and Marchesa. A warm welcome, delightful peaceful garden, delicious breakfast on the terrace with homemade confitures, and so many beautiful artefacts around you. A happy, memorable and relaxed visit, but all the small attention to detail made it even more special.
Review 79:Nothing except maybe I would have like to sample some evening meals. I have a feeling they would have been superb!
Review 80:Everything! Super hosts, lovely intelligent people. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean. Breakfast very nice with excellent bread and out of this world coffée. Very helpful with any requests regarding restaurants, travel etc. Very high standard of decor, bed linen and towels. Wish I could have stayed longer.
Review 81:Nothing that I didn't like.
Review 82:The room, garden, pool and other common areas were lovely and had character. The hospitality was relaxed and friendly. The location was a ten minutes walk to St Paul de Vence - a real plus and a three minute walk to the bus stop for a bus to Nice etc.
Review 83:Couldn't fault it in any way!
Review 84:Friendly hospitality from Thomas and Marquesa and excellent advice on where to visit and how to get there! Delicious filling breakfast and fantastic relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful garden and lovely room with terrace and access to pool. Peaceful and quiet room when shutters and windows shut and great public transport to places of interest. Perfect honeymoon for me and my wife and would love to visit again.
Review 85:Traffic noise is an issue in the daytime - as it is everywhere else in the area.
Review 86:The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, breakfasts were extremely good (orange juice that had been on the tree only hours before..), the flat was spacious and well furnished with two balconies looking to the sea; shower-room excellent, etc. Also, very pleasant garden, with pool.
Review 87:The beautiful garden, friendly hosts and naturally cool, thanks to the old stone walls, bedroom with very comfy bed.
Review 88:Slight niggle in that wifi only picked up in reception.
