Review 1：No bad experience, but don't expect luxury

Review 2：Very friendly proprietress, used to pilgrims and their needs. Cafeteria opens early - ideal for starting on the Camino Inglés

Review 3：Bit dated but comfortable enough. Came back after dinner to have a drink at the hotel at about 10 o'clock to find the bar closed,not impressed.Bed without a nightcap!!

Review 5：I did not like how our reservation of a double room with extra bed (for a 3-years old child) was treated. We were charged for the extra bed as it was a single bed (33% of the entire cost of the room). The gentleman in the reception was not very friendly.

Review 7：Ants!!! Room was filled with little black ants, they were coming out of all the walls in the room. If there was any food left in the room unpacked it was all covered with them. According to staff it was normal that they are there and it is our own fault that we have food in room. No major problems but any dealing with staff was unpleasant, except for one receptionist who was nice.

Review 10：comfortable room, very clean, nice bathroom with awesome water pressure. really enjoyed my private room and there was good fast wifi. they even let me check in a bit early which was super helpful. i was here for a night before starting the camino ingles and it provided me with the good night's rest i needed to start my journey.

Review 16：The beautiful wooden structures... Its "old times" atmosphere. Friendly receptionist. I arrived late and very hungry, and he helped me to find food... Then waited for me to open the door.

Review 17：This is an old hotel and is not in prime condition, although everything works and it reflects the price. There is very little sound isolation and quite noisy at weekend nights. Quite confusing system with the outside door sometimes locked, but there is a bell.

Review 18：A good price for a big room with good wifi. The place is old but clean and there is a cafè on the ground floor. The bed was not comfortable and felt like it needed a new matress, but not too bad. Friendly staff, although just a little english is spoken.

Review 21：We Chose this Hotel,because it was near the bus Station in Ferrol,and it was near the start of The St James Way,the host spoke German,the Hotel was clean,very good value for money,the breakfast was good,it was served in its own bar down in the lobby,we had a few Drinks there in the evening,great,it was just a short distance to the start of our walk,all in all a very good choice.

Review 26：Hotel Almendra is an excellent choice for anyone visiting Ferrol for tourism, business and or pilgrims starting the 'camino inglés'- one of the routes to Santiago de Compostela. It is only 10 minutes walk distance from the coach and train station and also to the harbour/centre of town. I was very well received by all members of staff. I do recommend Hotel Almendra as an excellent choice for a comfortable, good/practical location and reasonably priced accommodation in Ferrol.
