Reviews for Auberge du Pont de l'Alp

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:Beautiful location with lovely views of the mountains. We had an excellent meal here & great hospitality from the owners on their last night for the season!

Review 3:Our room was a little small and there was no easy access to the amazing view from the bed. The two rooms with balconies would have been a much nicer choice.

Review 4:I loved the casual atmosphere in the dining room in which the host would pull up a stool to the table and interact with the various guests. The three courses were brought out quickly so we did not have to spend all evening waiting for food, as so often happens when you are travelling. We had a really memorable evening talking in a mixture of French and English with the host, over dinner. There are some really nice walks you can do right from the Auberge, which is a real plus after a hard day's driving.

Review 5:unfortunately the road was closed we were only 20 miles from the hotel and had to turn round and do a 120 mile detour at 5 in the evening I phoned at 7 to say we would be late and arrived at 9.30 in the evening to be told that the kitchen was closed and the bar not even an offer of a cup of coffee I wouldn't mind if I was on my own, but we were 2 couples, and had been travelling since 9 in the morning, ok not the hotel owners fault but would have been nice to be offered something. so great location and quiet, let down by customer service.

Review 6:location, quiet and comfortable rooms

Review 7:Lovely people, very clean and the views/location are outstanding. Great base for cycling or walking and the breakfast was excellent. The owner very kindly cooked my a rib of beef for dinner one evening and it was superb. I would definitely go back. Authentically French.

Review 8:Beautiful location with teks on the doorstep of the Auberge. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Free WiFi. Lovely patio area, a quiet spot with fantastic views of the Ecrins national park.

Review 9:Two single sized beds instead of a double one was unexpected. There are not shared facilities like kitchen.

Review 10:Location with view to the mountains. Quiet and peaceful, very clean. Internet ok.

Review 11:Great location right in the heart of the alps. Close to Alpe d'Huez and the Galibier. Fabulous home cooked meals and super clean. Lovely views over the alps from the balcony of our room.

Review 12:Excellent location, food and sleep… what more do you need on a bike trip through the Alps !!

Review 13:Maybe a little tricky to access from the road if you don't know where it is.

Review 14:Relaxing, French accommodation, great location, great hosts!

Review 15:Nothing.

Review 16:Everything. Diner and breakfast. Space for your stuff in the room. We traveled by motorbike.

Review 17:My French is not too good....

Review 18:Location and food.

Review 19:The host Michel

Review 20:Water fall

Review 21:The mountain location was an excellent starting point for walking and looking at the wild flowers.

Review 22:Having to leave!

Review 23:Really welcoming owners who could not do more to assist, made me feel very welcome and special. Super location, lovely food, great small family hotel!

Review 24:We were made to feel very welcome at this gem of a hotel. We ate at the auberge every night because of the quality of the home cooked food, the value for money and the hospitality of the owners. Everything was well managed and very clean with plentiful hot water, warm rooms and wi-fi. This was a genuinely French run establishment/experience and the local village, Le Monetier Les Bains, provided more of the same. We would love to return and would recommend this stay to friends and family.

Review 25:A lovely small hotel which is run beautifully and spotlessly clean. We had dinner on a number of nights which was beautiful cooked. A very friendly place. We enjoyed our stay and will return.

Review 26:Good. But the name of the hotel is the name of the next village down in the valley - extremely small 'movie' like village. directions would be useful as hotel is on the main road. There is a sign, but at night dependence on GPS will send you around and around the unrelated village.

Review 27:I found the rooms somewhat spartan ... In the mountains I look for something cosier ...

Review 28:The owners were most welcoming and the meals great.

Review 29:Lovely cosy alpine lodge with good facilities, fantastic views, good home cooked food, very enjoyable one night stay whilst touring the Alps.

Review 30:Tha small room,the uncomfortable bed,the poor breakfast,the towels are gray.Very bad "hotel"!I'm sorry.

Review 31:The mountains

Review 32:Owner does not speak english :(

Review 33:Nice house, mountain view and we saw fox at the parking twice! :) Good choice if you have a car!
