Reviews for La Petite Auberge
Review 1:Can't fault it at all. Great value and will definitely stay here again.
Review 2:This is the perfect little retreat which rates much more highly than its 3 star. Great location with amazing views, lovely staff, a very comfortable room and superb table d'hote food. Wines are good value too especially compared to other places we stayed on our trip. And lets not forget a lovely pool area and Aslan the gorgeous resident dog. Highly recommended.
Review 3:Our room wasn't ready when we arrived late 11PM. We were forced to wait. As a "complimentary" they then offered us some evening snack. And charged 50 euros for two person afterwards. Very bad communication and miss use of trust. We also drank one cappuccino, cost 5 euros. How can three star hotel have such prices. Room were out of date, bad air, musty smell, toilet broken.
Review 4:Not much!
Review 5:Small and friendly. Fabulous evening meals (despite no choice). Stunning setting with amazing views. Close to lovely hilltop village with restaurants. Welcoming staff. Interesting small towns nearby to visit.
Review 6:The general atmosphere in the hotel matches the site: peaceful, relaxed and generous. The dog took us on walks in the hills, we bought fresh figs from Michel next door and sipped coktails watching the sunset on the unspoilt hills of Provence. Great meals, great staff and in the evening we enjoyed the cosy living room with its library... The best hotel we have been to in Provence.
Review 7:No cooked breakfast (but that's only a minor issue). The food was otherwise delicious.
Review 8:Breath taking setting. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Yummy food.
Review 9:slightly disappointing breakfast - stale fruit. Restaurant closed Monday night, the place felt 'dead'. Not even a bar for a g and t...good job village only 10 mins up the hill.
Review 10:The view, the quick check in and out, views, pool, friendly welcome. Quiet room
Review 11:The room we had (below the pool area) smelt a little bit of damp. Apart from that (which we got over quite quickly), everything was great.
Review 12:The owner was really lovely and helpful, the location and views fantastic.
Review 13:Although the dinners were excellent, I feel that an auberge of this quality should offer an a la carte menu as well.
Review 14:The quiet, relaxing location and exceptional view were outstanding.
Review 15:The family room was quite cramped . Once the 2nd single bed is pulled out there isn't much floor space left No shower curtain so bathroom turned into an ice rink
Review 16:Staff very friendly and helpful. Pretty location. My son fell in love with their gorgeous dog :)
Review 17:A bit distant from the rest of the world however might be a good option for night stay in your trip over Provance.
Review 18:Exceptionally beautiful and calm villa with nature views and gastronomic dinner.
Review 19:One of best views around! And one of best chefs restaurants, dinners were amazing! Enjoyed our stay for 4 days, excellent place for relaxing holidays.
Review 20:Quite expensive overall but enjoyed never the less. Would recommend staying here 'in season' to get the most out of your stay.
Review 21:to enjoy a wonderful lunch, the food is very good indeed.
Review 22:Not a bad experience, but we were too early in the season to enjoy the property fully, eg the swimming pool was not in operation. Not a complaint!
Review 23:Fantastic views, nice helpful staff.
Review 24:Bathroom is slightly outdated, no Wifi outside of our room.
Review 25:Arriving from a beautiful Maison in the Languedoc, we had to get used to the relatively small room and bathroom. The view is fantastic and so was the Rosé, accompanied with the cheese we asked for. The pool is nice and the location itself is beautiful, especially if you prefer local activities (Lac Ste. Croix is about 30 mins); it's less practical if you like to explore the area (Nice, Aix) as driving is time consuming.
Review 26:Breakfast was an additional cost , should be included and staff were not too friendly. Walk from car park up lots of steps carrying suitcase, no offer of assistance by staff
Review 27:The location and views and proximity to the village
Review 28:Small housekeeping issues: soap dispenser empty, one reading light not working.
Review 29:Position is wonderful, staff friendly & helpful. Meal was excellent!
Review 30:Its not the sort of hotel where the kids (7 and 9) can mess around in the pool without affecting other guests so they were a bit constrained (by us rather than staff).
Review 31:We stayed as a family of 4 in a garden room for 2 nights and enjoyed it. Any queries were answered and the breakfast and dinner was very good and served on the terrace with lovely views.
Review 32:not really a negative, but the Bathroom could do with a bit of an update!
Review 33:the view is 2nd to none! the owners are warm and welcoming, saying that we should treat the hotel like our home. The food is fantastic and great value for money!! we will be staying again!!
Review 34:Whilst we were there the person who I assume was the manager/owner appeared to be more interested in what seemed to be a house party of her friends than in the guests staying in the hotel. We dined every night yet on the fifth night when booking she still asked if I was a resident. On leaving she was unable to teake my payment as there a problem with the electronic equipment which she appeared less interested in solving than in having breakfast with her friends. We shall not return.
Review 35:The views were superb. The young staff who appeared left to run the operation were excellent.
Review 36:Old,oldfashioned,dirty,around the pool not clean, not enough umbrellas, chairs around the pool need to be cleaned, diner poor,...its an old hotel with maybe old owners and I think there is no money to refurbish the Hotel or they do not want to ?
Review 37:The staff were doing there best. What an amazing view. You could really make a very nice hotel out of this building. What an opportunity for someone with money an interest.
Review 38:The air con didn't work and the pool area needs tidying up / lick of paint.
Review 39:The setting was lovely and it's very quiet. Staff are very helpful.
Review 40:Nice setting, beautiful hotel.
Review 41:Great views, lovely staff, a beautiful place to stay in this area. Loved the pool with views of mountains.
Review 42:Upgrade of rooms necessary, food in restaurant could be improved
Review 43:Very nice personnel at the hotel, nice view and pool area.
Review 44:extremely slow (sometimes inaccessible Internet connection)
Review 45:kindeness, view, ambiance, Tourtour was a nice surprise
Review 46:A lovely find. Amazing views. Perfect hosts.
Review 47:Fantastic views from room and terrace.
Review 48:Friendly hotel . Diner well balanced. Calm and nice position . We will come back .
Review 49:Great location, friendly staff. Lovely.
Review 50:Excellenr food, excellent friendly staff, breathtaking views. Will definitely return for a longer stay.
Review 51:Poor wifi availability
Review 52:Traveled France for 13 days, this was the best place and we had the best dinner here.
Review 53:Beds in room 10 are a bit soft for my liking, but other people may be ok.
Review 54:Almost everything...
Review 55:We stayed for only two nights :)
Review 56:Everything was perfect!
Review 57:Food is excellent
Review 58:Wifi was very slow. I know you come to this place to wind down but it will be still good if we can have a reasonably fast internet....
Review 59:Location, staff and the view.
Review 60:The room needs refurbishing. The size could be bigger, but it's not tiny. The bathroom and the toilet actually are pretty small.
Review 61:The location and the view. The restaurant and the personnel, great food with a smile.
Review 62:I was disappointed not to see fresh fruit salad on the breakfast buffet, especially with the wealth of beautiful fresh fruit available in provence in the summer! The swimming pool needs some attention, the tiles were falling off, and at one point the light fell out of the wall, and was just left floating in the pool. It could have been very dangerous indeed. The pool cleaning maching was put into the water one morning, but nobody went to take it out again (it wasn't working anyway), and in the end it was a guest who took the machine out. What a shame, as the position of the pool is really to die for.
Review 63:The view from the Auberge is absolutely fabulous. The dinner menu was excellent and well worth the money.
Review 64:the best hotel we have ever been. Amazing view from the room on the countryside and hills around, clean and very nicely furnished rooms, delicious food, swimming pool at our disposal. Simply wonderful!
Review 65:It is a shame that the rooms in the hotel do not match the perfection of the restaurant.
Review 66:Location is perfect and restaurant very smart and well run.
Review 67:nothing
Review 68:we liked everything except the weather!!!
Review 69:Difficult to get without a car!
Review 70:attention to a client in every single detail. And a great friendly dog, of course :)
Review 71:Relaxing atmosphere and great food.
Review 72:excellent terrace restaurant
