Reviews for Hotel Silva

Review 1:some jaded. quite hot / stuffy. 1st night in single room a lot of noise at night from a bar opposite. after complaints resolved promptly for 2nd night: room behind. little or no actual wifi. staff okay!

Review 2:Shower fitting above bath was made for a giant not a 5'3 lady. Refuse collection disturbed our sleep when window left open. A bit of a walk to city centre/port.

Review 3:Staff were polite and helpful. Triple room was good size and very clean. Cost was excellent value.

Review 4:Very friendly and helpful receptionist who also doubled up behind the bar

Review 5:The breakfast in the bar was of bad quality

Review 6:Good Price Comfortable and Clean

Review 7:Could do with better lighting in the room. A bit dark.

Review 8:Staff very friendly and helpful.

Review 9:A bit of a way from the start of the Camino Ingles.

Review 12:Friendly staff and excellent value for money. We had a very pleasant stay here and could walk to the centre of ferrol in under 15 minutes. Would recommend to anyone on a budget.

Review 13:The walls were too thin, you could hear everybody talking. They could buy some new towels.

Review 14:The room was really spacious, we asked for a double bed despite making a reservation for a twin bed and there was no problem. The staff was kind and helpful

Review 15:There isnt anything else this hotel could have done to look after us

Review 16:The staff bent over backwards to look after us We arrived at 3.50pm very late for lunch and the lovely young man cooked a wonderful meal for us as well as share the recipe for caldo de pescado as well as printing it for me Then he let me use the hotel computer to print airline boarding cards We felt like a guest in our friends house Thank you hotel silva for a lovly experience We recommend to anyone beginning camino ingles in Ferrol

Review 17:A great place to start our Camino!... a warm, friendly reception and a wealth of information on the Camino Ingles. Food was excellent. Everyone went out of their way to help us.

Review 18:Kitchen in room but cook top didn't work. We suggest removing the cooking bits and pieces or charging more and installing a decent kitchen and utenzils as an option for guests wanting to cook for themselves.

Review 19:Big, very clean Bathroom. Large room and separate sitting room.

Review 20:Nothing! Fantastico!

Review 21:Our stay was one of the highlights of our trip. The bathrooms were large enough for a minature bowling tourney. On our first night, and subsequent morning, we were exhausted from over a week of travel and strange beds. We slept until 9:45! Needless to say the beds, real queen size, were excellent! Alberto, one of the managers, directed us to both the tourist office, which had written info in English on the Camino Ingles (next year's adventure) and then to the port and church where the Camino begins. For those interested, the Hotel Silva has passports and a stamp for pilgrims. You simply walk to the port and the church and back and then start your Camino; you've covered all the bases. Alberto is well traveled and a wealth of knowledge; ask him anything about the area and all of Galicia. And besides being incredibly patient and nice, his English is excellent for those of us whose Spanish is doubtful.

Review 22:Staff were very accommodating, they usually don't serve dinner until 9 but they let us have dinner at 8. Very nice staff.

Review 23:Staff was very helpful and welcoming! Room was big and comfortable.

Review 24:Owner very friendly and gave helpful advice, in English too.
