Reviews for Inter-Hôtel Le Crystal

Review 1:Did not succeed in connecting to the wifi.

Review 2:The location was excellent, overlooking the bay, and facing the sun for breakfast on the balcony. The room was modest in size but not small and the bed comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Review 3:The balcony really did have a sea view, we were right next to the beach! There was also a really convenient second 'beach' entrance to the hotel as well as the main entrance by the road.

Review 4:Parking was a bit tricky. Entrance to car park is via a steep ramp, and we drove down it only to discover that you need to pre-pay for parking if you want to use it (reversing back up the ramp was interesting!). We ended up parking in a public car park about 300m from the property which is fine, but a bit difficult with a toddler and luggage in tow. They do offer you the chance to load / unload in front of the hotel before finding parking if you need to.

Review 5:Great location - lift goes directly to the beach! Dinard is quite small, so everything is within walking distance from the hotel (and Dinard is beautiful to walk around). Room decor was a little dated but quaint and comfortable. We didn't have a sea facing room as were only there for one night, but it didn't matter as we didn't spend long in the room itself. I'm not sure I'd pay the extra money for a sea view, given that you might as well head down to the beach in person instead!

Review 6:It's more of an apartment block than a hotel. The reception staff aren't always around, and a bit diffident when they are. Great to have breakfast in the room on our terrace, but the breakfast itself is terrible -- lousy coffee, definitely not fresh squeezed OJ, and generally overpriced at 12 euros each.

Review 7:Outstanding location, and room with balcony and spectacular view, high over the beach. Private access to beach also a definite plus. Generally pleasant.

Review 8:The terrace wasn't really clean. Free parking is very limited

Review 9:We stayed only for one night to do sightseeing in the area. Room nice, clean with huge private terrace and automatic shutters. Staff friendly, beach lovely and direct access from hotel garden

Review 10:The room was very warm this time of year. The bed was comfy/nice & wide but far too short for my tall husband.

Review 11:Fantastic location right on the beach with easy acces via a lift that takes you straight there. Lovely view from the balcony. Minibar/fridge was very handy.

Review 12:Wifi is good but for some reason I had to re enter the codes each time I went back to the hotel. Other than that, no complaints

Review 13:Good location and price, friendly helpful staff. Breakfast very good all you want buffet.

Review 14:The dark hallways in the evening hours are unsafe, this is a poor management decision. Cost of breakfast was TOO HIGH. Pillows are too thick, cause neck ache. Have someone at front desk that speaks English at all times. A basic hotel service is to accommodate the visitors and give good, accurate directions-one female desk clerk gave incorrect directions-totally. Install a nightlight in bathroom

Review 15:Apart from breakfast which was fine, the only food available is from a 'posh' microwaveable range. I had the soup the first night and it wasn't nice.

Review 16:Good size room and beautiful location overlooking the beach. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Good breakfast brought to room

Review 17:Room size, a bit small.

Review 18:Early check in was appreciated. Nice location quite central. Easy access to the beach. Nice balcony if the weather had been nicer.

Review 19:Lovely friendly helpful staff. The room was very clean and well equipped for self catering. Cleaners came in every day. Very central location. Gorgeous view, on the beach edge. Free Wifi an added bonus. Had a fabulous relaxing weekend, would definitely visit again.

Review 20:No doubt the view was the best part. The room was quite small and the bathroom was basic but as we only stayed one night it was worth it for the view.

Review 21:Nothing

Review 22:The staff were really friendly and very helpful. We were really impressed with the hotel and are already planning a return visit. Thank you for making our holiday so special

Review 23:Loved the fact you could go down the lift and exit straight onto the beach. The view from the balcony was amazing. The hotel was so quiet, we couldn't hear any other guests or staff.

Review 24:no mention that it was an "appart-hotel"; awful ambiance, more like a prison than a hotel. Very poor standard of bathroom; overall, very old-fashioned; very poor value for money. Very noisy - heels on tiled floors, noisy opening of electric shutters, can't imagine what it must be like in the season!

Review 25:location overlooking bay

Review 26:It would be nice to have a small common kitchen with a microwave to heat up food.

Review 27:The excellent location, with the seafront side of the hotel on the Grand Plage of Dinard. Well-equipped rooms, very nice balcony and table overlooking the beach. The sea view is definitely worth it. Good internet coverage. Lots of space in the room.

Review 28:We booked a room overlooking the street side of the hotel. The windows were needed to be open for fresh air, so allowing a slightly noisier 'dawn chorus'. Otherwise, (apart from nitpicking), we had a great time in Dinard.

Review 29:We had never properly visited France before we attended a business conference in Dinard. The staff at the Hotel were very good and very patient with my rather limited and probably awful 1st attempt at French! The rooms are very clean, the coffee and croissants are excellent and Dinard itself is a real gem. Thoroughly enjoyed my first trip and would go back again.

Review 30:Only had breakfast on day as room was small and crowded, choice limited. Cheaper to buy a croissant and a coffee elsewhere.

Review 31:Locations was great very easy for a solo traveler.

Review 32:The 2 bed apartment was perfect for our stay, we were a group of 3 friends attending a conference at the nearby Casino building. Very clean, 2 showers, massive balcony looking over the beach.

Review 33:breakfast is a disaster we only had 2 the mattress on our bed was awfull it leant at both sides so you felt like you were falling out of bed considering it was a superior room no lift in hotel

Review 34:loved having the room cleaned on a daily basis the location the view we had a sea view helpful staff speaking english

Review 35:We had to wait ages to check in because there was a queue and only one member of staff who had to show each person to their room and, due to the size of the hotel, that can often take some time! The hotel does not offer parking (also unusual for the size of the hotel) however there is a free car park opposite but it has very limited spaces. The bed was quite uncomfortable and you could tell the mattress was quite old because we could feel the springs. Other than that, there are really no complaints. It's definitely a bit dated but they've gradually done work to it over the years and it's improving all the time - we always stay here and have had various different rooms.

Review 36:You can't beat the location of this hotel - it has a lift that opens directly out into a corridor that leads to the beach, however the hotel itself is like a maze and it's huge so it can be difficult to find your way back to your room if you're staying on the opposite side to the beach. You are literally only a hundred metres from the town centre which is packed with shops, restaurants and bars - great for a romantic getaway, a boozy weekend or just some shopping. Dinard has a fantastic market at the weekends as well which is also just by the hotel. Our room had a terrace, although it looked out over someone's back garden which was a little odd and didn't provide much privacy, however the partitions between our terrace and the rooms on either side provided total privacy from them. The terrace had a small table and two chairs but could have done with a bit of a clean as the floor was a bit muddy and dusty. The hotel does seem to have some lovely beach view balconies, however they cost a little more and we were on a budget. The room itself was very compact but perfectly kitted out. The bed was a standard double which was a little disappointing but we were only there for one night so wasn't too much of a big deal. There was a mini-bar which was stocked with lots of water and a few alcoholic beverages, all reasonably priced. There was a hairdryer and some bath products such as shampoo and shower gel. There was a TV (no English channels other than BBC News) and a desk in the room with a mirror above it, and the bathroom had a shower/bath, sink and toilet. There is a small wardrobe which would hold a few items of clothing and stored extra pillows and blankets if needed. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but we have stayed here before and had breakfast which was fantastic - very good value for money. The breakfast room, however, is tiny for the size of the hotel and we have occasionally had to wait for a table.

Review 37:I have put excellent for location as it is so easy to get to town/beach, but one teeny downside is that the sea facing rooms get the sun in the morning, not the evening. That said the balcony was well sheltered and did not feel cold in the evening. Shower wasn't great as the angle was very strange to accommodate the lack of guard, but a minor quibble, it was hot and worked.

Review 38:Before we travelled I asked for a kettle and one was provided. The mini bar was therefore great for keeping our milk in. Balconies were far bigger than I expected and outdoor furniture very comfortable, so spending time there watching the world go past was lovely.

Review 39:Noisy at night, because our room was above the entree. Paying 11 europer day for your car ...

Review 40:Spacious room, nice woman at reception, great location nearly at thebeach and in the center.

Review 41:The bedcovers in our room were all too large. The breakfast room was a bit small

Review 42:the room, the local area, cleanliness, the staff were very helpful. the staff sought gluten free products for my wife.

Review 43:Steps leading up to the hotel from the beach!! Although, once booked in you can use the lift instead!

Review 44:Friendly staff Good sized room Helpful reception Good breakfast

Review 45:The fact that there is not a kettle in the room to make a cup of tea or coffee, especially at night where there is nobody in attendance at the hotel and cafes in town are usually closed early.

Review 46:The location is excellent with the lift going directly onto the beach.

Review 47:Not advised that builders were working outside the front of the hotel which was noisy and caused access difficulties from/to the beach

Review 48:Location. View.

Review 49:Friendly staff and well pleased we could take our dog with us .

Review 50:nothing

Review 51:Location, excellent room nice and warm plenty of room. will definitely return. staff very helpful.

Review 52:Staff and great location

Review 53:Toilet and bathroom far too small

Review 54:Good location - close to Centre and lift to the beach was a great help

Review 55:They have not refounded me the last night as agreed...... since we did not stayed that long. disapointed.....:(

Review 56:good to the price

Review 57:Situation exceptionnelle

Review 58:Park at the end of a bay if on the road, or you may need a tin opener to get out again. . ( Not a criticism of the hotel )

Review 59:Perfect location.

Review 60:Kettle in room would have been useful

Review 61:Location, staff, comfy clean room

Review 62:decoration old and dated. Wifi poor, kept dropping out.

Review 63:Excellent views across the beach. Nice to take breakfast on the balcony.

Review 64:Wake up to the sound of waves and sea guls

Review 65:no air conditioning

Review 66:apartment type --useful to have kitchenette included

Review 67:The double room was ok for one not two

Review 68:The receptionest

Review 69:Nothing - it was all good

Review 70:Location - right on the beach; secure parking for the car overnight; helpful staff; comfortable rooms.

Review 71:Lovely people, great location, clean and well-appointed. No problems. Recommended!

Review 72:The double bed was very very hard but the rest of the apartment was nice and comfortable.

Review 73:The view

Review 74:the location was awesome. Direct access from the beach. The view on the beach side was also amazing.

Review 75:Breakfast quite expensive.

Review 76:Excellent staff. Very helpful. Hotel well situated for town and beach. Room was spacious and comfortable. Hotel good value

Review 77:Room was overpriced for what you got.

Review 78:Lovely view. Staff were very helpful, close to town.

Review 79:Small rooms, a bit shabby and dated, few facilities, no tea/coffee in rooms.

Review 80:Location, both proximity to beach and nice walk into town, staff very pleasant, lovely town.

Review 81:We booked a superior room based on the photo on Booking.com. This was a corner room, large, with windows on 2 sides. The room we were given was not as big and a single window. They said that the seaview rooms were all superior. The photo on Booking.com was only a representative of rooms. Disappointed with what were perhaps 'misleading photos'! Hotel said to phone them directly in future and specify the room we wanted.

Review 82:Gorgeous outlook over the bay. Really handy for the St Malo ferry. Lift down to beach level. Lovely room.

Review 83:The noise from the apartment downstairs which apparently was privately owned. We were on 7th floor, (1st floor of the hotel), so would probably request a higher floor next time.

Review 84:The view from our bedroom over the sea was amazing. The secure garage for the car and bicycles.

Review 85:Room quite small and narrow with no comfortable seating except bed. Bathroom and toilet are especially small spaces. Limited drawer space. No safe. Some noise from adjacent rooms.

Review 86:Location overlooking the beach and sea and close to town, easy access to beach. Quiet from street noise usually. Convenient free parking nearby. Friendly, helpful staff. Large, comfortable bed. Reasonable hanging space. Hot water, efficient shower etc. Decent, fresh breakfast. Efficient fre wifi.

Review 87:Perhaps being picky the breakfast was a bit basic for 12 euros

Review 88:The hotel is directly on to the bay with access to the promenade and beach. It is a leisurely walk to a range of restaurants etc. We had a sea view confort room which although quite small was very well furnished and equiped and the view from the balcony was exceptional and well worth the extra money. Staff were very helpful and friendly and helped a very pleasant stay. We will return.

Review 89:The hotel is art deco, very little money being spent on it for years. It has very small number of bedrooms, most of the hotel is let for weekly or longer term lets. At Euro130 per night for a sea room, it is very expensive. Breakfast for Euro12 was poor value.

Review 90:although plenty of restaurants in Dinard, it is a pity the hotel does not have its own restaurant for lunch / dinner

Review 91:first class location - good sized room with balcony & sea view - private access to beach and promenade and easy walk to town - excellent en-suite facilities - private secure parking - breakfast could be taken in room at no extra cost - first class assistance with luggage and garage by hotel management

Review 92:The breakfasts are very expensive. There aren't any hot drink facilities in the rooms (as in the UK) and we didn't find any in the hotel, apart from breakfast.

Review 93:The decor of the room. The location of the hotel.

Review 94:Rather pricey breakfast, which we didn't take

Review 95:Helpful, pleasant & English speaking staff, good quality well equipped spacious side-bedroom. Great, central but quiet beach-side location

Review 96:It was bed and breakfast only and we never saw the bar open and it was not possible to get a drink - alcoholic or coffee/tea. No lift from Reception area to bedroom although there is a lift from bedroom floor to beach level

Review 97:We enjoyed the convenience of being within walking distance of Dinard town. We enjoyed sitting on the bedroom balcony in the sun overlooking the beach watching the activities on the beach. Also having breakfast in the room with the same view.

Review 98:The traffic system is difficult if you don't know the area . Certainlyconfused the satnav .

Review 99:We used the hotel as a stopover before the ferry . The position wasuseful as we wre going to St Malo for the morning ferry . We had a goodmeal in the town which was not too far away. The reception staff werehelpful and friendly.

Review 100:Not a brilliant breakfast - 12 euros for basically juice, bread and jam a bit uninspiring. Would have thought a yoghurt or fresh fruit option not beyond them.

Review 101:Nice handy location next to beach and easy stroll to small town centre. Clean, quiet and comfortable.

Review 102:Perfectly located for town, shopping and dining, and for coastal walks with easy access by boat to St.Malo, and if you like beach life! Above all, a relaxing situation and very helpful staff.

Review 103:Close to centre of Dinard and beach

Review 104:Breakfast not included

Review 105:Location

Review 106:- We were upgraded to a room with view to the sea - Very helpful lady at the reception desk

Review 107:Difficult to park car other than in the underground across the road - chargeable.

Review 108:Location. Balcony.

Review 109:The location is perfect; so close to the beach, but also close to town.

Review 110:It would have been nice to have had a restaurant.

Review 111:Good location, friendly welcome ,'nice view over the beach and the sea.

Review 112:Excellent location. Loved the balcony. The staff were very helpful.

Review 113:Staff friendly and helpful. Comfortable spacious room in quiet location.
