Reviews for Le France
Review 1:One small issue is that the parking is shared with a shop(?) but is located away form the hotel. It is secure enough but it is a bit inconvenient although I was able to unload my car from a place next to the hotel.
Review 2:Not speaking French will be an obstacle. Manager was disruptive and didn't help. Rooms in serious need of maintenance. City didn't feel safe.
Review 3:Found an orange stray cat on the street in front of the hotel that was nice and let people pet him.
Review 4:We understood parking was available at 5euros per night but found this was not available due to construction in the area. This was obviously ongoing for some time but we were not told this.
Review 5:Location, friendly helpful staff.
Review 6:Loud music from places nearby. Views from windows were a storage cupboard and no curtains.
Review 7:Easy of access, stayed open till we arrived at just before midnight. Good rooms for families.
Review 8:Absolutely disgusted with this hotel. A group of 17 family and friends with young children arrived at 10.30pm after a full day of driving to find that the hotel had let out our rooms. The member of staff was extremely unhelpful, bordering aggressive and offered no explanation what so ever.
Review 9:Rather narrow staircase to rooms made carrying suitcases upstairs difficult.
Review 10:Convenient location next to the station. No air conditioning, but a quiet fan was much appreciated on on of the hottest days of the year.
Review 11:Great location just opposite the SNCF station. Modern bar/restaurant with nice atmosphere serving good value meals. Very helpful, friendly staff. We were won bicycles and the staff helped us with free parking in their secure garage (available for cars too). A good nights sleep & very pleasant stay for just €35 for a double room. Perfect.
Review 12:Breakfast disappointing, mainly due I think to staff member at that time
Review 13:Most staff were very friendly & helpful. Midday & evening meals very good & generous
Review 14:Poor noise protection, really small room, poor breakfast, you need to push each moment to water button on the shower (economy reason).
Review 15:Closed to railway station, silent place, good price
Review 16:after a long hot unexpected drive from Paris because of Auto train Strike, the shower was the last thing I need or any traveller on a hot day.
Review 17:The Evening stall were not interest, the fast restaurat was slower than a normal restautant.
Review 18:We found the staff to be a little unfriendly. It might just have been the language barrier, as our French is quite basic. However, I would normally expect that people working in the tourist sector would speak at least some English. I think for somebody with no French at all, it would be quite difficult to communicate with the person at reception.
Review 19:This hotel was affordable and fine for our two night stay. Our first choice was Hotel Terminus (across the street) but it was booked out. This hotel sufficed however. It's not fancy by any means but it was clean and relatively comfortable. The free wifi was a plus. It's beside a car rental place and very close to the train station so we were happy.
Review 20:lovely room good food, what else can you say!

Review 26:very old, no aircon, old carpets that were smelly. breakfast was a buffet with very poor selection for 7 euros

Review 29:Nothing. Great value.
Review 30:Great location and the staff were so nice.
Review 31:Rather basic accommodation
Review 32:Location Secure garage
Review 33:Adjacent to rail station
Review 34:Limited English of staff
Review 35:Close proximity to train station.
Review 36:It was fine.
Review 37:Close to railway and car hire company. Breakfast cheap and adequate. Perfect for late night arrival by train or early am departure.
Review 38:It was very close to the railwaystation and easy to get something to eat.
Review 39:A bit noisy with people drinking outside. Very small bathroom.
Review 40:Friendly staff, nice bar for drinks on arrival, good value for money.
Review 41:Room near stairs very noisy from other guests - means you cannot sleep until the last guest has retired and have to get up when the first one gets up ...a bit irritating - = 3/4 hours sleep max
Review 42:Location near to station, had a good meal in the attached restarant below.
Review 43:A minor detail, only one sachet of shampoo / shower gel was provided, although I stayed two nights. I have experienced this elsewhere, it seems chamber staff assume the guest will only wash once during a two night stay.
Review 44:Excellent location, perfect for rail and bus travel, without any noisy people. Young gentleman at reception was very courteous with excellent English. Good breakfast. I recommend Le France as a good place to stay.
Review 45:Indifferent evening reception. Better on the breakfast shift. No close parking - whole area under reconstruction and consequently parking tightly restricted. Very poor evening meal (simply not worth the €55 charged - over and above the room price); they could not even cook frites properly and the lamb chops, cooked straight from frozen, were inedibly tough.
Review 46:Good breakfast Clean room
Review 47:Could hear the other guests through the walls of the room. Close to a major road thoroughfare so traffic noise.
Review 48:Easy and friendly book-in. I was able to access my room early which was a great help.
Review 49:We were travelling with bikes, and staff were very helpful in finding a location to lock them away securely. Location was good right opposite the station.
Review 50:The person on duty was extremely helpful. The free parking did not exist. Construction started at 6:00 am that was awful. We left at 7:00 am. Not good
Review 51:cheap for the 6 hours we stayed there
Review 52:No elevator, but the manager helpt us with our suitecases.
Review 53:The manager who worked there at night, superrfriendly! The food was excellent! The room was big and very clean.
Review 54:The food in their restaurant, which was good and well worth the price. The very friendly staff. The room was OK, the house is currently being refurbished. From my point of view the place is the better choice over a comparably priced IBIS budget. Especially with regards to the quality of the breakfast.
Review 55:We asked for a ground or 1st floor room due to recent injury and wereput on the top floor. No the staff do not speak english although theytried to be helpful. This hotel is 50m from a sex Shop!!!!!
Review 56:Room facilities rather primitive.
Review 57:Convenient for town centre and station. Good value for what is offered.
Review 58:Location in front of la Gare
Review 59:Very close to the train station
Review 60:Breakfast- 'fresh fruit- dried and old.. No cheese. Just baguettes, juice and compote

Review 66:Clean, Friendly, convenient, good food.
Review 67:No lift - but staff did offer to help with our cases.
