Reviews for Westville Hotel
Review 1:the very friendly staff from the time we were checked in by melissa to the time she checked us out the hotel was lovely warm and cleen and the food was excellent and could not fault anything
Review 2:Only gripe bit dangerous driving out of carpark as you can't see traffic coming along the road as you edge out so be careful
Review 3:Great food....portions generous, close to town plus nice relaxing bar
Review 4:We attended a wedding at The Killyhevlin, but having previously stayed at The Westville rebooked and am I glad we did, I left my camera battery in my room by mistake and phoned to ask reception to rebook the taxi that had dropped us up to the wedding to go back and collect battery from our hotel and bring back to me. The westville went one better the manager arrived up to Killyhevlin with my camera battery now how's that for customer service. Well done Ryan
Review 5:Breakfast.very greasy fry could have made better.but I would book again although have a continental!.
Review 6:Very nice hotel nice staff.rooms good.very clean.
Review 7:There wasn't one fault at all.
Review 8:We have stayed in the Westville 4 times now and we absolutely adore it!The accommodation is clean, comfortable and modern. The staff are excellent, friendly, helpful and attentive without being over the top. We will definitely be back again!
Review 9:The fire alarm was set off by a guest at around 4am but the staff were extremely apologetic and gave us complimentary room service.
Review 10:Staff were really nice and welcoming, cannot fault this hotel at all.
Review 11:That I hadn't booked for a longer stay.
Review 12:Excellent hotel. Very clean comfortable room. first class staff and very comfortable bar and restaurant. Breakfast also excellent and hot. Will definitely be back.
Review 13:I found the man on reception on our arrivi quite rude after explaining that I had rung earlier to tell them we would arrive early he felt it was ok to tell me well having a room early is at our discretion , this was after the lady I had previously spoken told me my room would be early , my issue is not that my room was not ready it was how he spoke to me I did not like . I also found it extremely strange that in order to run a bath for my young child I had to climb into the bath to turn on the taps , it was impossible to reach the taps from the opposite end of the bath as the glass screen came half way down the bath if I pushed the glass screen across it covered the taps very annoying . Parking in the hotel car park was a nightmare .
Review 14:The hotel was decorated for Christmas which gave it a nice welcoming entrance .
Review 15:Waste to Wash Hand Basin was hard to work.
Review 16:Room was good size, warm and very well appointed. Access was good, close to Lift and acoustically there was very little noise from outside. We had the evening meal and Breakfast and both were excellent. Definately 10 out of 10 on the stay.
Review 17:However that is were the Good Points end, On arrival you are greated with a Smile that's asks for Payment in Full striate away the room was large but the Bathroom was almost as big, The Shower is in the Bathtub with a Dangerous Glass Partiion not a good thing there are only 6 hangers so do not take a lot of clothes The staffs Smiles all appear to be Painted On and as for the Breakfast there is No Continental choice Whatsoever, There is 4 choices of Fry all as Greasey as each other None of which are Good so all in all Like a Place Close by a Hotel to give a miss too,
Review 18:The Hotel is Simple to get to and looks good from the Outside it is also Located Close to the town itself.
Review 19:The only thing I would change would be the seemly excessive charge for a local telephone .
Review 20:This is one of the few hotels that got it right with service during my trip to Ireland, First, I should thank the breakfast staff for not scolding me for placing the croissant into the toaster. Yes, there was a sign, but I did not read it... and the croissant caught fire (real flames) and came out black. The Staff member just moved it to a plate and remarked "Is it good like this?". I answered, Yes,,, and offered him half. He declined. Likewise, the dinner staff was very pleasant and the Fish and Chips dish was one of the best during the trip. Overall, the price was a good value, the room spacious, clean and I appreciate the pieces of fruit in the room. The purpose of the trip was to find a family crypt in Tempo and to that end the Staff assisted me in finding the correct area to search. This is a place I would stay if I returned to the area.
Review 21:Shower pressure weak. Room safe was faulty. Our sole evening meal in the hotel restaurant was just ok.
Review 22:Comfortable room. Staff most helpful. Freshly cooked breakfast - rarity in this serve-yourself. hot plate era!! Well done Westbille?
Review 23:Exterior does not do justice to this wonderful Hotel. We will be back.
Review 24:Professional and friendly staff. Relaxing surroundings. Excellent bar cuisine. Great breakfast in the morning. Very comfortable bed.
Review 25:Having to leave
Review 26:Very friendly accommodating staff Spotlessly clean. Food was perfect. Room of highest standard. Great for local shops and pubs etc
Review 27:Room and bathroom was very spacious and modern. Staff were friendly and always had a smile. The food was amazing and great prices. Short walk to the town centre with plenty of places to see. I recommend the 5/10 minute walk to Castle Coole, lovely spot for an early morning walk. Would stay again :)
Review 28:Everything exceeded expectations.
Review 29:The location was great in town with free secure parking at the rear of the hotel. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The hotel was built about eight years ago but still had a 'new' ambience with a tasteful décor. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and the Ulster Fry was cooked on demand to ensure freshness and quality. We dined in the bar one evening and enjoyed the food on offer. All staff where friendly and courteous.
Review 30:The room was small but comfortable the bed was very uncomfortable needs to be replaced and soon, tv had cable yet not the same channels as the bar (sports channels)
Review 31:restaurant & breakfast was really good, the bar was very nice the food & service was great.
Review 32:As soon as we arrived at the hotel we were greated by the friendly concierge. The hotel was lovely, close enough to walk into town. will definitely be back again
Review 33:For a boutique hotel i expected a more stylish room, was very plain and bathroom very cramped. For price we paid wasn't worth it, have stayed in nicer guesthouses. If I was in Enniskilllen again would go to hotel for a meal but wouldn't stay in hotel again.
Review 34:The Hotel had a brilliant restaurant and the staff were very friendly and helpful, room clean but basic.
Review 35:Weeknight dining limited to bar menu (there are more refined alternatives in town centre); blind exit from car park.
Review 36:Excellent, spacious, fully modern room and bathroom; lovely big bed; spotlessly clean; helpful staff; handy location with town centre readily walkable.
Review 37:It would be easier to find with some more signposts please.
Review 38:Large, bright comfortable room and ensuite; very helpful staff. Central with easy access to town centre.
Review 39:The warm and friendly welcome we received by by Finula in reception and Jamie in the bar this was lovely after a very long journey .In the morning the dinning room staff and reception were also very nice and helpfull lovely breakfast will be back Regards Denis/Marie room 219
Review 40:The breakfast and the hotel rooms are average. The finishing touches of the rooms are unfortunately not at a 4 star level in my opinion.
Review 41:Service and the location of this hotel is excellent.
Review 42:So close to town and easy to walk to Castle Coole where we spent a great day! Breakfast was super and room was great , very comfy huge bed. Got an early check in at no extra cost - that doesn't happen too often.
Review 43:one gripe - you ran out of orange juice at breakfast!!!! No ability to change temperature of room. Had to pone to get door open late at night to get back in.
Review 44:clean, comfortable
Review 45:Location is excellent, so convenient to local shops bars. After a two hour drive to get to the hotel we parked in the hotel car park and went exploring the local shops. The Terrace Restaurant was excellent, congratulations to the chief for providing a lovely dinner before we were entertained in the bar by the guitarist.
Review 46:thought the breakfast could do a bit better, the cooked side of things was good, but was a bit disappointed in the continental side.
Review 47:the central location, everything was so handy to get to, also the staff, brilliant and very friendly, couldn't do enough for you, all in all we had a great time.
Review 48:We where at a family wedding and arrived back quite late and the doors where locked and we had to phone the hotel to let us in as we had knocked the door and no one answered it was raining if we had no phone I am not sure how we would have got in
Review 49:On arrival it was very thoughtful to have a bowl of fruit in the room and the room had every thing that you need for a short stay
Review 50:Great hotel! I was really impressed and as nice as 5 star hotels I have stayed in. Very good value for money and good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely return.
Review 51:The parking wasn't very well sign posted. Although once found it had a roof which is excellent.
Review 52:Absolutely gorgeous hotel with very friendly lovely bar staff , the food was beautiful we had both an evening meal and breakfast. Would definatley stay again.
Review 53:everything was very good .the size of the room and the space was excellent. the nearness to the town was very appealing. we will need to have a look at the apartments too.
Review 54:View from bedroom window but you can't expect much when you are in a busy built up area.will be back!!
Review 55:Friendly,helpful staff and cleanliness are my priorities and the Westville achieved both.
Review 56:Noisy - could hear people simply walking in corridor and room doors closing, could hear people in next room. Noise from road during night was disruptive.
Review 57:Modern, spotless rooms
Review 58:The service of the hotel staff, Mr Shane O'Brien, was excellent. He helped take our heavy luggage bags to our room and provided valuable and comprehensive information and advice about seeing the Marble Arch Caves and taking the Lough Erne tour on MV Kestrel. We appreciated the care he took to give us clear directions to the Caves and the jetty. We also liked the short distance from the car park to the hotel entrance as we had much to carry from the car.
Review 59:Enjoyable stay, friendly staff and free car park. Unfortunately we were only able to stay for one evening and with an early start in the morning, had little time to experience the place
Review 60:The hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The room was ideal with an exceptionally comfortable bed. Food was delicious. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Review 61:It rained!!
Review 62:The staff were relaxed and friendly, obviously confident in their jobs and well trained. The decor was top quality and beautifully integrated, obviously chosen with care. Being mid-week we ate in the bar, the food and service were excellent, we'll be back.
Review 63:I cannot think how it could be improved. Perhaps earlier check in than 3pm, but I got there early and my room was ready.
Review 64:It was a really excellent location, better than many far more expensive place. Highlights were great staff, great room and delicious breakfast.
Review 65:Asked for no cucumber on meal had to send it back which resulted in me eating on my own as my wife had finished hers
Review 66:Central location plus breakfast was cooked to order no self service queues
Review 67:Staff were natural, friendly and very helpful. The hotel looked like it was recently re-furbished. Everything looked brand new. Evening meals were relaxing and food good in the bar.
Review 68:Fabulous hotel, have stayed here on many occasions and can't wait to go back! Every single member of staff deserves a mention for their friendly and helpful manner, nothing too much trouble. Definitely 10 out of 10!
Review 69:Ordered a lightly poached egg it came hard... The sausages bacon black pudding and mushrooms were not to my taste. No ale or craft beer available, not even in bottles.
Review 70:Nothing was above average
Review 71:Location of this hotel to Enniskillen town and other amenities such as the Ardhowen Theatre and the National Trust property Castlecoole is brilliant. Staff at the hotel are extremely friendly and helpful.
Review 72:I was meant to have a double bed, it was in fact 2 singles pushed together with 2 single mattresses, very uncomfortable! The price was very dear and breakfast was tasteless! Will not be staying again
Review 73:there was unpleasant smell in all 3 rooms we occupied like sewer smell. And I was surprised that there was no view after all we paid for executive rooms, looking onto to a roof from a high window was a first for me.Very dissappointing.
Review 74:The beds were excellent,so comfy and big.Staff were very pleasant.
Review 75:The bed was very uncomfortable and the pillows. I booked the executive room which I felt the normal rooms were not much different. We had a bath with a shower init, where as the normal rooms had a separate shower to the bath. There was a fan on the roof outside our room that was very noisy which meant you could not sleep with the window open.
Review 76:The staff where very friendly and the room was clean
Review 77:we had no hot water in the shower it was freezing cold just spoiled our visit we had three people join us for bar food on Monday eve they were disappointed they said they had more leaves than chicken on their salad.
Review 78:we enjoyed breakfast .
Review 79:I had booked the executive double room advertised as having complimentary chocolates and fresh fruit. This was not supplied on arrival or on either of the two nights. Very disappointed as I had upgraded the room choice expecting this level of service.
Review 80:Friendly staff overall although they seemed understaffed.
Review 81:Leaving
Review 82:Lovely hotel. The bedroom was bigger than expected and was well appointed. WiFi worked well ( so many hotels it can be a bit iffy). Ate in the Bistro and would definitely recommend. Staff all attentive and friendly and all local.
Review 83:No complaints.☺
Review 84:Our standard rooms were of a very high quality and the food was excellent. We ate in the bar area and would recommend. Menu reasonably priced.
Review 85:We would have a problem to write anything in this box.
Review 86:Friendly staff, a spotless room and en suite and a very comfortable bed. The room was pleasant and spacious and included everything we required in working order.
Review 87:stayed here twice,in a executive room, had to ask on both occasions for the fruit and chocolates which is meant to be part of the deal, also are room 209 had a repetitive noise coming from below all day and nite,at 11pm I rang reception to complain ,this did spoil are stay.
Review 88:Great hotel, super location for the town, the food is the last word, very comfortable beds, lovely rooms.
Review 89:Exit from car park could do with mirror on opposite side of road.
Review 90:Good hotel, location, good size room, friendly and helpful staff,5 minutes walk from Enniskillen town center.
Review 91:I travel a lot, stay in a lot of hotels. The rooms here were very refreshing, spacious, everything worked, bathroom was excellent, very good walk in shower, big TV. Food in the bar was good and good value. Staff were all bright, cheerful and very friendly. And you can never tire of hearing the word "wee"
Review 92:Would have preferred more of a buffet breakfast but could understand why it wasn't practical.
Review 93:All the small things. Door to our room open on arrival-didn't have to struggle with bags and keys. Complimentary coffee on departure at reception. Staff super.
Review 94:Nice friendly welcome at reception with quick check in,the girls working in the bar were very chatty and pleasant and a good atmosphere. We will definitely be staying in this hotel again maybe for a longer visit.
Review 95:Some drunken guests on a golf do were very nosiy and using foul language at 1.30am. We tolerated it for half an hour and then contacted the staff who were onto it promptly and dealt with it superbly and also moved our rooms.
Review 96:Staff, breakfasts, atmposphere
Review 97:The staff were friendly. The rooms nice and warm. There were great walks to go on.Enniskillen a lovely small town. also easy walking from hotel to the shops.
Review 98:I'm sorry to say that I was a little disappointed with the food. I found the soup to b tasteless. I was expecting a little better for dinner.
Review 99:Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms had great space. All very comfortable.
Review 100:Executive room - TV on wall was in an awkward place. Would've preferred a seperate shower.
Review 101:Staff extremely helpful and friendly! Breakfast was SO good! Clean, tidy, warm rooms.
Review 102:Don't think th4e executive room is worh £90 might - for tree apples in a basket and 4 chocolates. However, it is spacious. I ate out at The Saddlers for evening meals - better value for money
Review 103:Convenience Secure off-road car park Didn't have to drive into Enniskillen
Review 104:Our room was not what I thought I would get. It was supposed to b an executive room but was definitely just a standard double. It was very dark as we were looking out on to a roof. Breakfast was extremely disappointing. We ordered to the room a full irish breakfast which came without toast & beans. These were not on the breakfast list so I assumed it was included. All in all very disappointed.
Review 105:There was a nice entrance when entering to the check-in desk. The young lady was very friendly & helpful.
Review 106:The car park was a little on the small side
Review 107:Lovely décor extremely clean, it seemed like everytime you turned around there was a member of staff asking if they could help you, excellent food. Live music at the weekends was appreciated.
Review 108:close to the town so no need for taxis in the evening staff friendly and helpful and tasty food reasonably priced and no noise at night or early in the morning
Review 109:the hotel lived up to what I was expecting, breakfast was excellent very good choice to suit everyone, staff very friendly & welcoming overall we both enjoyed our stay & would have no hesitation returning
Review 110:We ate in the bar in the evening. The food was v greasy & all seemed to be deep fried. The crystal lights needed dusting!
Review 111:The friendliness of the staff definitely, decor & location all good
Review 112:2 small points, can here tv of room next door when trying to sleep & restaurant menu not does not entice you to eat there, a bit rich required taste menu....
Review 113:nice touch the glass of champers on arrival, everything about hotel pretty good..bar menu very good....short walk into enniskillen which was excellent, would definately stay there again....
Review 114:The staff were excellent, simply couldn't do enough for us, Heather on reception was lovely and zoe organised a birthday card in our room for me, a lovely gesture I thought.
Review 115:Arrived at 1pm to be told by a rather grumpy receptionist that check in was 3. Neither smile nor greeting. Had lunch while we waited. Heather was much pleasanter. Bad first impression soon evaporated.
Review 116:We stayed in Room 107 which is the largest room in the hotel and the one featured on the website home page. It's enormous with a really comfy bed. Room also has a bath/shower combo. Food was also good both in the bar and Terrace Restaurant. Would stay again.
Review 117:Breakfast which is scheduled to start at 8am is slow and disorganised in getting started.
Review 118:Warm and efficient welcome. Outstanding modern, comfortable room. Food excellent.
Review 119:Our bed was really uncomfortable. Reception staff could definitely be more welcoming and friendly. They could take a lesson from the bar staff who were always friendly and had time for a quick chat even though they were always extremely business.
Review 120:Friendly, helpful bar staff and excellent food. The room was very spacious.
Review 121:The bed was a bit hard .a part from this every thing was first class
Review 122:Staff where first class ,food was great, loved the whole out lay of hotel and where it was very close to town, will be back again
Review 123:Don't have a bad thing to say about the hotel.
Review 124:The staff always had a smile on there faces. They would also run to the end of the world just too keep you happy. The hotel was also very warm 24/7 :).
Review 125:First visit to this hotel and I would certainly recommend to friends and family. Food in the bar was excellent and was the service we received. Thank you
Review 126:Our only issue was the breakfast (both mornings). The quality of the fry needs to be improved. My potato bread and soda would have broke a tooth. The white pudding should be better quality. Definitely not 4 star quality in my opinion.
Review 127:I can't fault the hotel for comfort and cleanliness. The location suited us as we wanted to be able to walk into the town. The staff were lovely.
