Review 1：There's no air-con so the room was a little stuffy that I had to leave the balcony doors open all day.
Review 2：Close to the beach the hotel was nicely positioned. The breakfast was fine with friendly staff who at first had difficulty understanding my request for additional tea bag in the tea!
Review 3：It states that it is suitable for disabled people - it is anything but suitable for disabled people. It states it has a restaurant - it has but it is only open for lunch!!! Why was that not made clear?

Review 6：Everything was excellent about this hotel from the welcome to the departure nothing was too much trouble. A travel cot was supplied for our 13 month old grandson travelling with our daughter and her husband. A fridge was supplied as there wasn't one in the room for the baby's milk. The baby's blanket was even taken and laundered. Our son and his girlfriend got a room upgrade and because of the heat a fan was supplied in the room. There wasn't a kettle but one was swiftly provided once asked for. We asked for a fan and one was installed in the room the same day. We had originally been booked into a gite 3 hours from the hotel but after the first night we departed as the place was awful/dirty and I went onto booking.com and found the Hotel Alcyon and what a find it was. All the staff were lovely and helpful and actually made our holiday. We would definitely return.

Review 16：Had a lot of problem trying to find somewhere to eat on a Sat eve in Aug in La Baule (all booked, come back in 45 mins etc...) so went back to hotel and a bit disappointed to find the restauarent closed at 2000 on a Sat eve. On no account use the Chinese oposite, prob worst meal I've had for along time....

Review 18：Friendly helpful proprietor and staff. Very comfortable and clean room. The Alcyon is in a great location close to beach, shops and lots of fab eateries. It is opposite the local market square which is currently being rebuilt and will be great when finished. It is the second time we have stayed here and would be happy to return.
