Reviews for Toile Blanche

Review 1:It is the second time I book this Hotel and again it was an amazing super experience! The host is so kind and looks always so happy. What ever you ask will be done in a minimum of time. I like the decoration of the rooms very much, lots of art in this property that gives you the feeling living in a different inspiring fantasy world. Wonderful garden with apple, lemon and orange trees, surrounded by lavender and roses. Amazing place, will come back again very soon!

Review 2:Problem unable to get English station on TV

Review 3:Plenty of space. Relaxed breakfast timetable with good choice of fare. Bought in gluten free bread for my husband

Review 4:A little bit isolated to walk but only a short drive to St Paul de Vence. The restaurant was not open as it was out of season.

Review 5:A beautiful small hotel in lovely surroundings. Very attentive and friendly owner managers who could not do enough for us. We arrived late at night and they waited up for us. A very nice French room. Wonderful sitting outside with a fresh local breakfast enjoying gorgeous views. A definite artistic vein running through this "blank canvass"

Review 6:Nothing

Review 7:Very laid back atmosphere. The guest house is run by a small team who really care about good service and guest satisfaction. Really interesting art and decor.

Review 8:The speed of service from the restaurant is slow at best. But if you have patience the food is well worth the wait.

Review 9:The pool area at Toile Blanche is incredible and a wonderful place to relax. The breakfast is exquisite and the views breathtaking. The service provided by Jermone's wife is fabulous and makes you feel very welcome.

Review 10:Internet as poor

Review 11:The bed was great! As well as the linens, towels and room itself! The property is gorgeous with incredible lush views of the surrounding hillside! Owners and staff interesting and kind.

Review 12:Only annoyance was terribly quirky internet/WiFi. although owner Nicholas said it was the best in the area and they were frustrated too.

Review 13:Serene, stylish, with a monochromatic minimalist decor. A showcase for the owners' social commentary art ( yes, three brothers who are all artists own the hotel). Not a lot of warmth or charm from them but one of their wives makes up tenfold for what they lack in hospitality. Good food although overpriced, we chose to eat off site after our first pricey dinner. Probably a good place for a rendezvous so don't expect a lot of conversation or action. But lots of creature comforts and pretty location.

Review 14:Steps . down to the bathroom within the room were a source of potential problems during the night. Lack of wardrobe space, both hanging and shelves was annoying. Adult themed art works in guest room were too explicit for a mixed family oriented clientele.

Review 15:The presentation of the property was excellent , set in well tended gardens that sloped down to the pool. Pleasant outdoor eating area below large shade sails for the hot summer weather. Food served on the terrace from in-house kitchen was excellent in choice of dish and quality of presentation. Friendly and professional service. Generally comfortable room set in the main house.

Review 16:We had an excellent stay, which was extremely chilled - exactly what we needed for a long weekend away. St Paul de Vence is a beautiful place to visit!

Review 17:I'm afraid it was the worst value for money hotel i have stayed in. I presume the high price is due to the artwork and not the furnishings (which were basic for such an expensive room). Room 1 overlooks the road, there was damp under the sinks, it was next to the hotels public toilet, and near reception so it was not that peaceful.

Review 18:The staff were very helpful, and willing to please.

Review 19:The hotel has an avant-garde edge that makes an interesting contrast with the luxurious setting. While the property is close to St. Paul-de-Vence and Nice, it feels like one is in another world, lost in the verdant hills and beautiful vegetation. The view of the pool from the rooms is stunning, and the family that owns the hotel is exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would definitely return to this fabulous property!

Review 21:Everything- the couple that owned the place was personal, serviceminded and wanted the very best for us and the guest. The breakfast was excellent and the location nice, quiet and beautiful.

Review 22:1.without a car, location not the best. 2. figuring out how taps/shower/bath operate was not straightforward for old fogies. 3. Reception art may be offensive to some, not me but serves little purpose to the business.

Review 23:very obliging owners, breakfast was good, size was what I like

Review 24:Tranquility, perfect spot close to the bustle of the Cote D'Azur. Breakfast was excellent. Delightful welcome from Caroline, couldn't be faulted.

Review 25:Some separation between the staff (family) and guests - which is planned soon - will help to avoid awkward moments in the limited lounge space. Limited entertainment options (e.g. TV news) for non-French speakers.

Review 26:The staff - essentially Caroline and Nicolas - were always approachable and eager to please. It was a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Delightful views and spacious rooms. Fabulous artwork on every wall and meticulously appointed throughout.

Review 27:Needed more and better storage and better arrangement to hang clothes. Coats sat over the coffee machine. Need a fan in the toilet.

Review 28:Very quiet. Breakfasts. The team that ran it. The view. The security and convenience of the location. Ambiance.

Review 29:Small, beautifully decorated hotel in on a quiet country lane with a nice view from the windows. The staff is very low key, friendly and helpful. This is the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at.

Review 30:Might have been more convenient to be closer to town, but the 3 minute ride was painless.

Review 31:We had a delightful welcome - and really enjoyed our room: private pation looking out over the grounds. Room was comfortable and a visual delight. CLEAN. We stayed when the restaurant was closed for the winter but the staff helped us book restaurants every night. Great choices and easy to get into town by car.

Review 32:Modern designer accommodation in a rural setting with owner-created artwork on display. Superb garden setting around pool, and exquisite meals - although evening meals are discontinued in mid September and nearest restaurants are at St Paul de Vence several kilometres away.

Review 33:The wifi is a bit slow.

Review 34:Staff is amazing. Genuinely lovely people who are willing to help. It's a beautiful location, quiet but with close access to the beach and Provence sight seeing (by car). I'd stay again.

Review 35:Beautiful hotel in a stunning setting, made to feel very welcome and relaxed. Breakfast felt like it was prepared especially for you with care and attention, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in October and would definitely stay here again Mark and B

Review 36:Toile Blanche is not a hotel, but a guest house, and despite charging 4star hotel prices, does not provide the level of service you expect forsuch a high price. (No room service, laundry, 24 hr access,restaurant...). Our Junior Suite, was in fact a reasonably sized room,so this was the first surprise (at 260 euros/night). It was alsonoisey due to the proximaty of the bar, and the quality of the plumbing. It was necessary to reserve an expensive breakfast the day before, againwhich is not what you expect for the price. Were it more sensibly pricedI would happily give it a better rating.

Review 37:Nicely appointed room with private terrace. Friendly service. Not toofar from the village

Review 38:Nothing except if you didn't have a car it is a bit out of the way.

Review 39:The staff (owners) were amazing, even did our washing for nothing. Pool was good as was food, but service was special.

Review 40:The shower while very modern, lacked practicality as there was no curtain or door to hold back the water.Wifi was a bit sketchy. Also, the room was not very soundproof. We could hear other guests in the hallway etc.

Review 41:We loved the modern art in the hotel. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We also loved the pool area and although we didn't have time to try out the restaurant we had heard wonderful things about the cuisine, so we will definitely be back to have a drink and a bite:) Staff was also very friendly and there is plenty of parking space for their guests.

Review 42:Nothing!

Review 43:Managed to create an oasis of calm. Service is superb, food excellent but above all their no fuss, relaxed attitude immediately puts you in holiday mode. We'll miss Pico the Parrot!

Review 44:The seats at the restaurant table are not comfortable for small people. Lunch salads are expensive.

Review 45:The house and the art exhibits. The pool and its environment. The friendless of the owners.

Review 46:Isolated, quiet location, nice open view on region. A modern art gallery hotel. Beautiful and cosy. Decorated with modernity and charm. Nice patio

Review 47:Not for children

Review 48:Very close to Vence. Mr and Mrs Smith Hotel. Quirky property.

Review 49:the relaxed atmosphere and excellent service

Review 50:Somewhat smaller room

Review 51:Great location and peaceful

Review 52:Nothing.

Review 53:Location and food. But most of all the unrivalled generosity and hospitality of the Leroy family.

Review 54:Great location, nice people, lovely ambience

Review 55:Couldn't stay longer!

Review 56:Room, food, location, people, art. Everything!

Review 57:Everything was perfect. From the acommodations to the kindness of the owners. Just perfect

Review 58:We liked the atmosphere, the fantastic service provided by the owners and above all we felt at home

Review 59:The service of the owners and staff and their sophistication in dealing with their concepts of visual art constructionl

Review 72:The quiet location / the family atmosphere / the gardens and the art work in the rooms

Review 73:Hard to find

Review 74:Staff location food design pool area

Review 75:Basically Everything was amazing: Staff, position, Property, room and food.

Review 76:Rooms were lovely and the food was amazing! Staff were fantastic and they made our stay very special!

Review 77:Simply perfect!

Review 78:Great place to spend a night (or several). Owners, besides being very welcoming and excellent hosts, are modern artists, so expect to be impressed by room design.

Review 79:no wifi in room

Review 80:great, designer -modern and comfortable room, art everywhere, cozy, very personal welcome and intimate stay, outstanding garden/pool area. Real highlight is the lovely owner family

Review 81:A bit hard to find without a good GPS.

Review 82:Really enjoyed our stay in Toile Blanche. Tastefully decorated country house in a gorgeous mountain setting. We were upgraded to a lovely spacious room with a terrace that overlooks the valley and mountain top village of St Paul. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was a pricey but quite tasty. Only a 20 minute hike to St Paul de Vence.

Review 83:This hotel is a real hidden treasure, I wish I could keep it all to myself. It is the 2nd time we have stayed there in the past 12 months. We were welcomed back as family, & after a disaster getting lost there was a grande rose to welcome us. Meal times on the terrace are a delight & the peace & tranquility & pool are to die for. Thank you again to our wonderful Belgium family, we love you & looking forward to our next visit.

Review 84:Renting a car is recommended, as although taxis are available from Niceairport (it is about 20 min drive to the hotel), they are expensive andyou won't be able to discover flexibly and comfortably further Coted'Azur spots without the car because many of the places are hard toreach with public transport & taxis are very difficult to find.

Review 85:Toile Blanche is a real treat - near the mountain of the beautiful StPaul de Vence village. Hotel ambience is relaxing, pool is refreshing ona hot day and view to the mountains is restful. Rooms are contemporarydesigned, modern art is dotted around. Gallant outdoor bar andrestaurant with excellent food is available for dinner. Driving the caris by far the best choice for French Riviera discoveries as all coastalcities are close by and lay near the sea. Road is among the mostbeautiful in the world - either driving Cannes direction (with Nice, Capd'Antibes on the way) or Monaco direction (with amazing Cap Ferrat,Villefranche, Eze village on the way). There are glorious spots, withhigh class restaurants available in each of these cities. Beautifulowners of Toile Blanche are working themselves in the hotel making it anunforgettable stay.

Review 86:We came in the beginning of the season, and it seems it was not properlyopened. They said in website that they had a restaurant, but we learntthat this had not opened yet, when we checked in. We chose the placebecause we wanted dinner on site, since driving all day. The pool areawas nice, but small, and this was a very hot day, we had been drivingall day, and longed for a swim, but someone had started to clean thepool, and then did not finnish it, but left the big vacuum cleaningdevice in the pool, and it stayed like this until we left next morningafter breakfast. We have a pool ourself at home, and never leave thecleaning devises in like this!!

Review 87:Friendly owners, nice, modern room, beautiful outlook, nice, but simplecontinental breakfast.
