Reviews for Hotel Restaurant Le Moulin de la Foux

Review 1:what a place -I've never reviewed a place before but I couldn't pass this up -the worst place I've ever stayed in . Fawlty Towers meets the Addams family. Not sure how these people came to run a Hotel but would make a fascinating book.

Review 2:getting out of there as quickly as possible ....surviving to tell the story....

Review 3:far from center of town very unpolite reception lady, as usual they feel botthered when a client arrives at 8pm !!! NO AIR CONDITIONED, not even a ceiling fan ! very hot need to sleep with open window but still hot !!

Review 4:big room confortable, free parking

Review 5:It was incredibly hot when we stayed. There was no air con. Whilst the hotel had provided a fan, that really wasn't particularly effective so we had real difficulty sleeping.

Review 6:Staff are pleasant. Rooms are clean. There is a nice terrace and gardens at the back where you can relax.

Review 7:Menu was limited, breakfast was basic , Croissants and coffee.

Review 8:Pleasant hotel with pleasant staff. Nice rooms and quiet location, food was well cooked and tasty.

Review 9:As this was a work trip, I would have liked a bigger table in the room (the one I had was not much bigger than enough for my laptop). The Wi-Fi also went to a very low signal in this corner of the room, but then it's mainly a holiday hotel in an old Provencal mill, so you can't have everything, can you? And elsewhere in the building the Wi-Fi was probably fine. Would not stop me from from wanting to return.

Review 10:The staff were great - friendly, efficient, welcoming and always ready to joke and converse in the nicest possible way. Some reviews spoke of damp rooms and there was evidence that there had been damp in the past in my room, as some of the paper had peeled, but it was August when I visited and all was dry, very clean and tidy, nothing unpleasant at all about the room. Pleasant decor, good size room, and the bathroom had been modernised to a very good standard with an excellent, large shower with both a hose head and a big rain head. Going to sleep with the sound of the stream outside was incredibaly relaxing and an especially welcome surprise on a business trip. The meal was most enjoyable - simple, good, wholesome food, lots of it, served by smiling and jovial staff, and at a very reasonable price, on a nice terrace overlooking the grounds and near the stream. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to others, and if coming back here will deliberately seek it out if my itinerary allows.

Review 11:no reception on sunday, very poor breakfast.

Review 12:Ventillation, toilet is difficult to flush

Review 13:Nice property, free parking

Review 14:No Internet service Tasteless décor beds too small overall poorly maintained

Review 15:Bathroom has been upgraded

Review 16:Room smelled damp, mildew in wardrobe, probably from the next rooms shower. Waitress more interested in her mobile telephone than doing her job. Very disappointing seeing as we were in France what with their gastronomy. Be warned, there are 3 roads with the same name within a mile of each other, we were 3rd time lucky...

Review 17:Place looks good from the outside and on the web...

Review 18:Over priced and narrow selection of wines. Thinly cut entrecote steak, well done ended up cremated, but it was replaced without fuss to their credit.

Review 19:A very nice place to stay, clean, bright and welcoming.

Review 20:The hotel was situated in its own grounds with a small river running through. The restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Eating on the outside veranda was very pleasant

Review 21:Not being able to turn on my bedside light without having the other oneon too - let's be honest - if it is just this one thing, we have nocomplaints at all.

Review 22:Everything: location, our room, the welcoming reception by the owner. Weloved the building, we enjoyed the dinner and breakfast - and Iparticularly liked the decoration of our room. Charming!

Review 23:The room was in front of the parking of the hotel and over the entrance of the hotel/restaurant. A lot of noise during the night and in the early morning so we couldn't sleep well (ask for rooms in another position)

Review 24:The position, availability of the staff, beautiful place

Review 25:Nothing

Review 26:Very pleasant staff, beautiful grounds with a stream running through, terrace restaurant for breakfast and dinner, great showers, quiet and peaceful location, close to the Gorge de Verdon.

Review 27:Nothing!

Review 28:Lovely hotel, and the owner was incredibly kind and friendly. Thoroughly recommended!

Review 29:Very basic breakfast

Review 30:Nice quiet rooms, gated private parking, spacious shower, free wi fi, decent in house restaurant
