Review 1：Internet access did not work at all in the room we were Hotel decoration is outdated Price is too high for what in on offer, particularly in the middle of nowhere. We spent a day in Vienna in a very central location and we payed 30% less for a 4 star hotel with brekfast

Review 7：The breakfast is plentiful but there were NO STAFF on duty. The place was deserted even at 8.15am. There were menus on the tables offering a variety of cooked eggs but I had to go to Reception (deserted) to ask for service. This hotel claims to be 500 metres from the Danube and that may well be so but it is a mile and a quarter (about 2 km) uphill from the town of Melk also located on the Danube so it is not ideally located for cyclists who wish to go back and forth sightseeing in the town.

Review 14：We've been on the road since 6 August when we left Reno, Nevada (oyr home town) on an Around the World motorcycle Adventure. Having crossed Siberia and Eastern Europe staying at the Hotel Wachau was a pleasure difficult to put into words. Just fantastic. The restaurant too.

Review 15：Location is excellent, only a short drive or bus ride from the heart of the city and from the abbey. Furnishings were comfortable and elegant. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet was superb.

Review 18：Booking.com showed availability but the hotel was full. We arrived on the evening of summer solstice and the area was fully booked. Hotel Wachau found another room for us and provided an excellent dinner (on the house). They were so friendly and helpful to two tired travelers looking for a place to celebrate the solstice on the Danube.

Review 19：This hotel is somewhat out-of-the-way for those, like us, who did not have a car. The website for this hotel offers transport to and from the railway station. This did NOT occur. The taxi trips were expensive, and the drivers would not use the taxi meters

This hotel is not air-conditioned. Because it is in the country (no street noise), we were able to leave the window open, which helped, but the rooms could benefit from a floor fan.

Review 51：We spent only one night here, planning to tour the Stift in the morning,then board the Danube river cruise to Krems in the afternoon. For thatpurpose, it was fine. This hotel is not in the town, it is maybe a 20-minute walk to the Stift and town. If you are arriving by train withluggage, as we were, you will probably want to get a taxi to the hotel(none waiting at the train station, but one did come by in about 10minutes; cost 10 Euros). The hotel does have parking and is very closeto the highway, so good for those travelling by car. The room was niceand spacious, although the towels could be replaced and improved. It wasunseasonably hot in Europe during our stay (early August, 2013). Thishotel is not air-conditioned. Because it is in the country (no streetnoise), we were able to leave the window open, which helped, but therooms could benefit from a floor fan. The breakfast was wonderful; goodvariety including eggs made to order and lovely terrace to eat on. Theowner was friendly and gave us good advice about our plans. Good value.

Review 52：We stayed there on the 27th of July and there is NO air condition in the rooms?! it was simply a sauna in the room...what 4 stars hotel doesn't have an air condition!? also there was a loud humming and vibration coming from the wall...and so i went down to the manager and asked him about it and his answer was that its simply a ventilation system from the kitchen?! but don't worry it will stop humming at 22:40 sharp. My advise to you is simple...Don't go there unless you must!!!
