Manor Farm Bed & Breakfast descritpion

Manor Farm Bed & Breakfast is found in a beautiful Somerset manor house, dating back to at least the 10th-century. Close to the Dorset and Devon borders, Manor Farm is within 20 minutes’ drive of Honiton, Taunton and Axminster and is surrounded by 19 acres of gardens, meadows and orchards.
A variety of rooms have their own features and each has tea and coffee-making facilities, a wardrobe and hairdryer. Most rooms have en suite facilities, with shower or bath, and all enjoy pleasant views of the grounds.
Breakfast is flexible, and can even be brunch if you are sleeping late. Dishes are made to order and may include fresh eggs from the chickens roaming the farm.
The manor house has all the hallmarks of an English country house, with original fireplaces and log-burning stoves, and there is a dining room. For those looking for modern conveniences, it also offers free Wi-Fi.

Reviews for Manor Farm Bed & Breakfast

Review 1:Because of the age of the building and the way the rooms are laid out it was very easy to hear other guests in their rooms.

Review 2:Staff were friendly, breakfast nice and room large

Review 3:Just come back from a 3 night stay at Manor Farm and was very sad to leave. We were greeted with a warm welcome by Geraldine who made us feel at home instantly . We were shown our room which was spacious and clean and cosy. Breakfast was served at any time we requested . Geraldine certainly whips up a great feast ! It was DELISH !! She is so lovely !! She made us feel so so so welcome !! The location of the house was great for heading out to explore Dorset. We will definitely visit again when we next visit Dorset .

Review 4:My wife, daughter, son and I were welcomed by our charming host Jean and shown to the family room we had booked online. The room was clean and spacious and very warming. The ensuite was luxurious,a generous size with a big bath and fantastic shower. My children were thrilled with the excellent WiFi connection! Jean was happy to tell us of any places of local interest and recommended a number of good restaurants for an evening meal. We all slept extremely well. Breakfast in the morning was delicious, cooked and served by wonderful Geraldine. We could not have been made to feel any more welcome than we were and would love to go back one day.

Review 5:We've booked Manor Farm because of all the fantastic reviews but instead of finding a warm welcome we felt in the wrong place. Jean seemed to be very stressed by a full house. We arrived with 4 adults and 3 children which is a big party but we've never felt so awkward. We got offered to have breakfast at 8 changed it to 8.30 after we asked but we felt very rushed as we got told that she had another family who needed to have breakfast too as there was only one table. Geraldine who we met at breakfast was the total opposite....very friendly and cheerful. We know that everybody can have a bad day but you still try to make people feel welcome if you run your own business. My parents and children felt that they've done something wrong.

Review 6:The rooms and bathrooms were very nice.

Review 7:Breakfast was fabulous - great choices & freshly cooked to order by Geraldine. Jean the proprietor is a lovely lady, very attentive & nothing was too much trouble. Lovely place, would definitely recommend.

Review 8:would not recommend the Town of Chard for shopping or eating not anywhere nice to eat that we could find.only two lovley gift shops. So I would of gone somewhere else if known. However we were staying near by for a wedding which was amazing.

Review 13:Couldn't fault anything at all . The owners were so attentive and the attention to detail was superb . We were made to feel so welcome and the patience they showed our 4 year old made us feel so relaxed, the house and gardens were immaculate and the rooms were so pretty . We stayed over Easter and Easter day breakfast was made extra special. A beautiful place to stay
