Review 1：The room was rather small. The hotel arranged a private taxi to our shipthat was very costly. The hotel was not heavily booked, probably due tothe turkish security warnings.

Review 3：First, we got a smaller room and the carpet was kind of old. But then, they gave us a larger room and it was as if we had changed hotels!! And the staff was very friendly all the time.

Review 15：Tried 2 rooms,first one was extremely small (unbelievable!). Second room was good enough. Breakfast variety was a bit poor (and yes,the turtle thing is disgusting!). Uphill walk in the direction back to the hotel (from the metro) and to the tram a bit exhausting for old adults.

Review 51：The hotel is near the tram and in a walking distance to grand bazaar, Ayia Sofia and the other attractions near them. It was very clean and our room was amazing (6th floor) with a nice view. The staff was polite and helpful especially Kadir at the reception who did everything to make our stay memorable!!

Review 54：During a week we have stayed in this hotel, the room service never cleaned our bathroom. Also the room was dirty. The room was too small, we even have no place to walk through the room to open the window, so we went through our bed. LCD TV? The screen was smaller than our laptop's screen.

Food was excellent with lots of options for vegetarians. There were three of us and the room was big and impeccably clean, other facilities were nice as well including the bar terrace –great view. Unfortunately we didn’t have time to check SPA.

Review 57：WiFi did not work and being ripped-off by hotel taxi. The hotel is near to a sewage since I could smell it in the air from time to time in the restaurant/bar on the 9th floor.

Review 61：The fact that we paid for a triple room and got a double room with anextra bed, the pictures on booking.com are deceiving. The staff did saywe where in an double room but there only was 1 triple room and this onewas already booked. We did not get a refund. Also there is a lot ofnoise of the street. The beds are very hard. Cleaning every day duringour stay was minimum (only new towels).

Review 63：For a Turkish hotel in Istanbul, hotel Venera has a too strong Russian/Soviet influence - Lenin's portrait on the wall in the lobby and more Russian TV channels than in any other language (even Turkish). Genuine coffee and not Nescafe at breakfast would be mostly welcome.

Review 64：The Venera hotel staff and facilities were excellent. The view of the sea/city from the terrace is great. WiFi of very good quality. The placement of the hotel in the Laleli neighborhood is giving a good opportunity to explore as pedestrian the old part of the city (SultanAhmet) in your (remaining) free time. Tramway stop is close by. I recommend the hotel to any interested person visiting Istanbul. Also I recommend a pedestrian walk from hotel Venera to Taksim area via GrandBazar and Galata Bridge. A better English speaking people at all time at the front desk would be appreciated.

Review 65：The hotel is located in the center of whoulsale market. Price for saunafacility is 30usd per person, the facility is pretty small.
