Reviews for Les Hautes Bruyères

Review 1:Minutes from the motorway, but very quiet, clean and comfortable. Wonderful. Opposite a park to walk the dog and stretch our legs on arrival. We were recommended a local bistro for supper which was excellent and set off early so didn't have breakfast. Instead we stopped at the patisserie round the corner for coffee and croissants, open on a Sunday morning!

Review 2:Nothing to report.

Review 3:Welcoming owner who made us both feel extremely welcome to enjoy their beautifully and imaginatively renovated property set in a peaceful location.

Review 4:The owner offered no information on transport, restaurants in the area. As it tuned out there was not one restarant open in the village on Monday night. Taxis very expensive.. Bus 20 minute walk. it was by far the most unhelpful host that we stayed with in France

Review 5:Very nice place. Comfortable. Location nice but not very accessible .

Review 6:Being in a room next door to a family with 3 v young children. They woke us, and our children very early. Lots of comings and goings of guests right outside our bedroom window, quite late into the night. Again, woke us (the adults) several times. Would have benefited from having tea/coffee making facilities in room + bottled water.

Review 7:Beautiful place, and lovely breakfast.

Review 8:The breakfast charge is too high for what you get but you need to get the car out to avoid paying it.

Review 9:The large garden setting and peaceful surroundings are idyllic.

Review 10:The owner was not very hands on, so is this a hotel style or B & B? Breakfast was very good but too help yourself

Review 11:The setting is lovely and room and house beautifully decorated, elegant in French style. Pool area very pleasant to relax after traveling and touring

Review 12:We booked to stay in the caravan, however when we arrived there was a party starting next door, so we were offered an upgrade to a suite in the house at no extra cost. The suite was lovely; very comfy bed and every little detail had been thought of. The breakfast was wonderful too!!

Review 13:Impossible to find without satnav or very detailed instructions. A car is an absolute necessity.

Review 14:Very comfortable and quiet. Good breakfast. Charming welcome.

Review 15:Lovely location Beautiful room very clean.

Review 16:Nothing - we would recommend and stay there again

Review 17:The garden, the pool and Karine

Review 18:Nothing

Review 19:Loved everything. Karine was delightful and the gypsy caravan was beautiful.

Review 20:Complementary coffee/kettle in the bedroom and a telephone would have been a plus.

Review 21:Decoration, cleanliness, Karine (the owner) who was very nice and kind. The late breakfasts in the morning.

Review 22:Currently (april 2013) the park around the Institut Paul Bocuse is being restructured. Electric saws started at 7.30 am and a muddy puddle is created closeby. The gate opening may be tedious. A large barking dog welcomes the guests, and although chicken roam freely, no eggs for breakfast.

Review 23:Location next to the famous Institute Paul Bocuse with its Seasons gourmet restaurant. Plenty parking.

Review 24:Without car this location might be difficult for tourists.

Review 25:Quiet and green location on the hills above old Lyon. Big and beautiful terrace and garden. Ancient mansion with beautiful decoration. Central Lyon can be reached by car within 10 minutes.

Review 26:Lovely setting tucked away in Lyon. Country French decor, impeccable! Wish we stayed for longer!

Review 27:Insufficient light in the shower, outdoor facilities could be cleaner

Review 28:Nice decoration, quiet location, good-size room

Review 29:Breakfast 15€ per person as extra is not justified at all by quality and variety

Review 30:There was nothing too dislike

Review 31:Everything. The friendly hosts, beautiful decor. Relaxed environment.

Review 32:Lovely stay, excellent food, very relaxing, warm welcome from our hosts - would highly recommend!
