Reviews for Chambres d'Hôtes Bastion de Riquewihr

Review 1:We like the decoration in the house and the hospitality of the hostess. The house is historical and it is a place to meet travelers from different countries.

Review 2:Nothing - everything was perfect.

Review 3:A historic building in a great location with spaceous accommodation and excellent facilities. Martine was a wonderful hostess and her breakfasts were delicious.

Review 4:This typical Alsasce townhouse built just inside the walls of Riequier was conveniently and quietly situated with reserved parking. To our surprise we had a suite of 3 rooms and a bathroom with a fantastic shower. The bed was supremely comfortable the linen fantastic and there were masses of large white fluffy towels. There was also a small garden where we could sit out for a drink on the evening. Martine was lovely a warm welcoming lady for whom nothing was too much trouble. I would wholeheartedly recommend this B and B to anyone wanting to spend time I'm this historic and picturesque town

Review 5:We liked it all!!!

Review 6:Martine was lovely and so helpful when we had trouble finding the hotel by car. She led us to the parking place in her own vehicle.

Review 7:We expected a room and got an apartment. The welcome from Martine was super. Breakfast round the big table with other guests from all over Europe was brilliant

Review 8:The owner Martine does not speak any other language than French. The breakfast is French. There is not a big variety of food as for example in Germany. Showering while standing is almost impossible inside the bathtube. Towels were not changed and the room was not cleaned during our stay of three nights.

Review 9:Authentic historical building with cute garden. Variety of brochures with touristic information. Our cosy large room had a kitchen.

Review 10:We stayed 3 nights and no clean towels A little touch if providing tea and coffee would have been nice

Review 11:Great location and very nice apartment

Review 12:Beatifull town, beatifull house, beatifull flat. Quiet place, nice for sleeping. Pleasant houselady.

Review 13:We enjoyed the great location and parking option. Thank you for your hospitality and we will be back !

Review 14:There was not daily housekeeping so we used the same towels for the 3 nights wand we had to make our bed. It wasn't a problem, but It would have been nice to have known that prior to arrival. The owner does not live on site either which was a surprise to us. It was very hot during our stay and there is no air conditioning, but the fans and open windows worked fine to keep it somewhat comfortable at night.

Review 15:It was a great location in a charming village. The home was very unique and the outside garden was a nice place to sit and have a glass of wine before or after dinner. We had a bit of a communication problem about our arrival time but it all worked out. The owner was a lovely lady, very positive and kind. We were surprised that our room was like a little apartment with little kitchen and frig and everything you need to cook, in addition to the bedroom there was a little living room too, a very spacious "room", very clean too. The little door into our bedroom made us feel like we were in a hobbit house!

Review 16:Wi-Fi was a little bit slow.

Review 17:Chambres d'Hôtes Bastion de Riquewihr was a nice and cosy place to stay with an excellent host Martine, who made us feel wellcome from the beginning till the end. It was like staying with a friend. Location was near the main street, but still in the peaceful corner.

Review 18:Merci Martine for having us stay at your property. The breakfast was fabulous, we thoroughly enjoyed the pastries, baguettes, meats & cheeses on offer. Great location, 5 minutes (or less) from the Main Street in town with lots of lovely, colourful houses & other gorgeous scenery to enjoy looking at as you stroll along. Having the car park was handy for all of the wine we purchased! We will definitely return!

Review 19:We had some really hot days, so an A/C would have been nice. They have only 2 car parks for 3 rooms...

Review 20:Firstly the location is excellent. Rooms are spacious. Breakfast was cute and tasty and the Owner very friendly!

Review 21:Bedroom attic-style which I found lost some of its charm after hittingmy head on rafters a few times. One person's charm is another'sultra-cute. This probably won't bother you unless you're agrumpy old bugger like me.

Review 22:Hostess extra-helpfuL.Studio-style apartments with everything supplied.Charm. See next paragraph.

Review 23:Lovely rooms

Review 24:Nothing

Review 25:we loved the beautiful room and breakfast and Martines hospitality. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Review 26:The bathroom. There was no shower, only a bathtub.

Review 27:The location and the staff. The bedroom was very big.
