Reviews for Le Faubourg

Review 1:Very disconcerting to check in with no one there, just our names posted on the entrance with a room assignment and the key in the door

Review 2:A great breakfast

Review 3:Small things: No elevator. The parking lot is a gravelly backyard on a slope. The building has not been renovated for quite a while, generally a bit drab, just 1 picture in the room would make things more lively. Big problem: In our bathroom the wallpaper was pealing off due to humidity and mould! Also, where wallpaper meets top of tiles around bathtub: mould!

Review 4:Big old house, the landlords try to keep up-to date with TV, WIFI, soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers. Lovely huge old bathroom with old sink, bathtub, bidet, toilet and tiles. Sink, bathtub, bidet, toilet, tiles, towels and bed-sheets are all nice and clean. The owners are very friendly.

Review 5:Our room was one of six in a separate unit behind the main building. It resembled a run down US style motel. The room is not sound-proof! As it was a very warm night, we opened the windows but the traffic noise from the road was unbearable, even late at night when many heavy trucks seem to be passing through the town. Closing the windows seemed to help but made the room airless, apart from a small window in the bathroom. Walls between rooms are very thin and we then had to put up with listening to the couple in the room next to us having very loud sex! At breakfast, a couple had made a complaint about the noise coming from the aforementioned room and the owner seemed to be making a genuine effort to deal with the complaint by asking us and others about our experience of noise. It was a fairly inexpensive place so our expectations weren't high to begin with and its ok for just a one night stay but like most things...you get what you pay for.

Review 6:The two women we met who worked there were both very friendly.

Review 7:Room very small and basic, but it had everything we needed, everything worked, and it was very clean with nice crisp bedlinen. Very friendly welcome, plenty of free parking, excellent location close to town centre. Fantastic value - why pay more?

Review 29:Cann't think of anything.

Review 30:It was quiet. It allowed us to relax. Lots of lovely fresh bread for breakfast. Staff were friendly and they had a lovely dog.

Review 31:The annex was cold and very basic. No soap for the washbasin and thepillow was very basic. This hotel isn't suitable for anyone not ableto climb stairs.

Review 32:It wasn't far to walk to the centre for the centre and restaurants. It was ok for an overnight stay. The buffet breakfast was passible.

Review 33:Lack of English spoken by staff. Staff often closed main reception areaand left side door open for guests to enter and exit. We were told byone staff member that we could stay in our room later than required onour check out date and then was verbally abused by another staff memberand told that we should have vacated at 10 am. Tv did not work. Had noshower curtain or holder on wall for shower head, no bath plug. Also beaware that the owners have a large dog that roams around the hotel, soif you don't like dogs stay well clear of this place.

Review 34:Friendly staff initially. Quiet location. Value for money, yetvery basic.

Review 35:Hostel type accommodation that needs to be updated/refurbished

Review 36:Road noise - not double glazed and wi-fi signal kept dropping.
