Reviews for Residence Pierre & Vacances Port Guillaume

Review 1:Good location kids love pool stayed here last two years. Dives quiet and peaceful short walk to cabourg or houlgate with lots of places to eat. Lovely marina with a couple of restaurants. Great beach nearby and good supermarket s on doorstep.

Review 2:The High kirb out of the underground car park, I caught it and gained a gash in my tyre. Take Care!!

Review 3:The Location is great, The apartment looked over the Marina, The staff were Brilliant, well placed for the Tour de France Finish of leg 6 at Le Havre and the Normandy Beaches

Review 4:It is not acceptable in the modern world to not provide Wi-Fi a small charge is acceptable but the connection here is only available in certain areas not our/your room-teenagers would not be happy! Also people are on holiday they don't want to be carrying waste glass to the railway station!

Review 5:Excellent, clean, good accommodation for the money as with all P&V properties,

Review 6:the bathroom upstairs beside the bedroom was without toilet and my wife with a broken arm had to go downstairs through the night, hazardous

Review 7:easy going and everything that you needed and such a good location

Review 8:Tiny bedrooms, swimming pool water not warm enough, sand and dust on the floor and no wi-fi.

Review 9:Good location, free parking, very convenient "boulangerie service".

Review 10:No Wi-Fi in house, got to go to main hotel Microwave old Far to small to sleep 6 Pillows need to be replaced No cupboards in 2nd room Could supply basic cleaning supplies, dishwasher, washing liquid, extra toilet paper So small cannot open main bedroom window/door

Review 11:Near to beach Staff very helpful

Review 12:rooms very small. very difficult to get around bedrooms. their was only 2 of us and i could not imagine having 6 people in this accommodation if you are very tall cannot sit on downstairs toilet.

Review 13:location easy parking good for touring

Review 14:Talk about not being able to swing a cat!! We were four, quite small adults, and the villa is meant to be able to sleep 6!! We were falling over each other, doors open onto doors, sockets are in useless locations and you can only walk down the sides of the only double bed sideways!! We were there for the World Equestrian Games so there was very little choice of accommodation. We would pick Port Guillaume again but not this residence.

Review 15:Port Guillaume is great. It was quiet and pleasant to walk around and the villa is in walking distance of the (fabulous) beach and some decent restaurants. The villa was clean and the kitchen reasonably well equipped and no shortage of hot water.

Review 16:Awkward to find directions on arrival at Dives sur Mer. Perhaps needsmore distinct signs to the apartments. Car parking at the apartments isterrible - about 18? spaces at the front of the apartments. We arrivedearly evening and had no option but to use the private under-buildingparking, for which there was a charge (this had been mentioned as'optional' at a cost of Euro 30 on our booking information andthat was what we paid, but Euro 55 was being requested by the hotel onarrival). A few complimentary dishwasher tablets would have been good -as at Centre Parcs)!

Review 17:Apartments within walking distance of sandy beaches. Good restaurantsalong the quayside and a small shop to buy the basics - baguettes, cartons of milk etc. a few more shops a short walk away. Quite quiet attime of our stay even though in peak August holiday time. Decent outdoorpool, not used by many as weather was quite cool. Small indoor pool.

Review 18:Accommodation a little bit run down, small bedrooms, sofa uncomfortable!

Review 19:Location, swimming pool

Review 20:no free wifi

Review 21:excellent location

Review 22:klein zwembad

Review 23:locatie, 2 restaurant, bakkerij, pizzeria, klein dorpje.

Review 24:Bad wifi in our room .

Review 25:The situation near the sea. The pool both indoors and outdoor.

Review 26:Towels were left in the accommodation and would be automatically charged for if you did not take them back to reception. We knew this so were ok but a bit of a naughty way of doing things.

Review 27:Nice location facing a modern, purpose built marina. If you want original features this is therefore not a place to visit. We booked a 2 bedroom house. As there was only 2 of us it was spacious. It even had a small garden. Having read previous reviews I made sure we took loo paper - but there was one roll provided:) We also took our own towels and bedding etc. (although sheets are provided and included in the price). Kitchen is well equipped with glasses and crockery etc. There was a 4 ring hot plate and a microwave and dishwasher - but no oven. There was no kettle but when we asked in reception about this they provided one at no extra charge. We stayed for 2 nights and ate out both nights. There were reasonably priced restaurants within easy walking distance. Also within easy reach of the Caen ferry port. We would stay here again. If you are considering staying here be aware that this is a totally self catering option not a hotel so you do need to take anything with you that you consider essential.

Review 28:one bed room is described as a double bed room its a small double bed stuck in a single size bed room only able to squeeze down one side beds are like cement

Review 29:quite when we were there, clean and tidy

Review 30:We were given disabled parking(not needed)It was also given to adisabled guest.Staff said take any other space. The one we took had beengiven to another man who was nasty about it. Pool very small.

Review 31:House adequate though bedrooms very small. Setting pleasant.

Review 32:Nowhere to sit and access the paid wifi facility after 7pm every night. The little lobby room was locked and you had to stand in the hall to access the wifi. There was only 1 chair provided but was mostly occupied by the cat. No comfort if you wanted to browse the net as my kids do.

Review 33:The view of port from apt.

Review 34:Not much we did not like. The only things which crossed our minds were maybe a shower curtain in the bathroom to stop the water on the floor. The swimming pool did not have anywhere to change. This was not too much of a problem as they allowed you to go back to your room with your towel wrapped around you.

Review 35:Friendly and helpfull staff. Family room with balcony cosy warm and clean. Indoor swimming pool. Location good. We enjoyed our visit.

Review 36:Lack of showercurtain, the unusable room in the apartment.

Review 37:Swimmingpool

Review 38:Pillows too flat!

Review 39:Cheap and cheerful. Really helpful staff.

Review 40:Mattresses like a plank of wood!

Review 41:Excellent location, quick walk to promenade and beach, play park right outside the house.

Review 42:apartment and complex were not clean. The area is very built up.

Review 43:this apartment was near to beach

Review 44:Constant smell of cigarette smoke in the room.

Review 45:Easy access to beaches and marina.

Review 46:No real privacy in the backyard. Swimming pool is small.

Review 47:The location (close the beach, clsoe to Cabourg, Inhouse swimming pool)

Review 48:No Kettle or Toaster provided.

Review 49:Location.

Review 50:The noise between rooms can be a little problem, especially from the room above.

Review 51:The location is ideal for seeing the WW2 beaches.
