Reviews for Chambres d'hôtes Les Pratges
Review 1:This was a bed and breakfast type of inn. The owner lives there and was quite friendly and provided a very nice experience. From the room to the breakfast the experience was as if we were living the country French lifestyle.
Review 2:Overall perfect. Comfortable bed, superb breakfast, lovely host, excellent location, beautiful house, quiet, clean. What more can you want ! Highly recommended. Brigitte Jeffries, August 2015
Review 3:A very minor point but a bit poor on utensils, no sharp knives and a few other basics - if we had been staying longer than a night and wanted to cook more that would have been something we would have asked for.
Review 4:Charming open plan apartment with use of a perfect outdoor space. Close to everything town has to offer, we would certainly go back as great spot to explore the area.
Review 5:Location a bit remote but was part of the unique atmosphere.
Review 6:Hosts were very kind and willing to help. View was amazing. Room was bright and spotless. Breakfast was very good and lunch was a blessing as no place to buy food on our route.
Review 7:We had a very difficult time finding this B&B. Our GPS directed us wrongly and when we were driving up and down the street bumped into another guest doing exactly the same thing. Maybe a notation on Booking.com to alert guests about the anomaly of this street. However the host was lovely and most helpful. Property is interesting grand old building within easy walking distance of restaurants and sights of old part of town without actually being IN the old part. We enjoyed our stay here.
Review 8:Two problems. Big old dog at house which kept trying to come in to our apartment. I do not like dogs so we could not sit out in the garden. Very annoying. Secondly the swimming pool was always covered so why advertise it as available.
Review 9:Location.
Review 10:WiFi a bit variable in bedrooms Sign on gate was different to the name on bookings.com which caused a little confusion
Review 11:A good stay but only one night. Close to Centre Ville. Easy walk to main square. Proprietor very friendly. Spoke good English but we have enough French for that not to be a concern. Nice simple breakfast with good baguettes.
Review 12:Les Pratges at was one of the more expensive accommodations we used at98 Euro. For this B&B price, breakfast was less than anticipated -rather plain and lacking in choices. Although Les Pratages is anhistoric building at an historic town, it seemed to lack some of thecharacter we had grown to enjoy from historic accommodation. Forexample, like many stone buildings in these regions of France, LesPratages has been given a render cover to improve durability. However, little or no exposed stone remains. For example, window surrounds orsills display as render, not stone.
Review 13:Our host gave us a map and circled good advice of what to see and whereto eat. His friendly, straightforward and knowledgeable explanationsimproved our regional understanding. Adjacent parking was easy andplentiful. It is a picturesque and easy walk across the Célé riverfootbridge into the old stone built town of Figeac which has loads ofhistoric character. We had a spacious bedroom and bathroom with windowsto the south looking to the garden, pool and hillside. Our bedroom alsohad a window to the north, looking over the town tennis courts andriver towards the old town of Figeac. Grounds are leafy with largetrees and a pool.
Review 14:A little hard to find as not signed as chambre d'hote outside.
Review 15:Hosts very welcoming and flexible despite our earlier than anticipated arrival. Lovely house, classically decorated with very comfortable rooms, only two minutes walk from Figeac's beautiful old town but quietly situated across the river.
Review 16:This was our second visit. The hotel is very convenient for the centre of Figeac. The owner is very friendly and a simple but good breakfast is provided.
Review 17:Extremely difficult to locate- no signage and gate locked. We had no phone and were unable to enter the property once we found it. We had to shout through the fence at another guest in the garden who fetched the duty staff member. Breakfast basic Walls paper thin Tariff too high in comparison to other establishments
Review 18:Pleasant location within walking distance to Figeac
Review 19:Great host who made us feel very welcome. We arrived earlier than the check in time but this was resolved effectively. Very comfortable house.
Review 20:Nothing
Review 21:Typical French hospitality, very good host.
Review 22:Larger room this second time, well equipped
Review 23:No air con and right next to a public path so a bit noisy at night with windows open
Review 24:Nice to have pool, albeit a bit nippy.
Review 25:Breakfast simple but still nice
Review 26:Genial host Short walk into old town
Review 27:No fridge or available drinks, you are in or you are out! Next to noisy tennis court and main public thorough fare.
Review 28:Furniture, the host
Review 29:Really friendly, beautiful homely feel. Very helpful.
Review 30:Convenient location and quiet.
Review 31:A little trouble locating address.

Review 33:Finding entrance could be a problem if not forewarned
Review 34:Location excellent, swimming pool and private garden a bonus as it was hot.
Review 35:Location excellent--wonderful gardens. The proprietor has excellent relationship with guests
Review 36:The owner was extremely polite and helpful. The room was large, airy and clean and the bathroom spotless.
Review 37:The garden needed some attention. Parking on the property was not offered to us.
Review 38:The town is well worth a visit.
Review 39:Charming owner, large room in character property, nice grounds and pool, excellent location in an attractive little visited town.
Review 40:Bohemian French chic
Review 41:Nice clean room with friendly guests
Review 42:No Shower, but nice bathroom
Review 43:Room, location, owner all top class.
Review 44:Shabby chic, done the way only the French can. A charm that big hotel chains don't have
Review 45:Lovely house in a calm neighborhood yet not far from the town center. Very comfortable and well-decorated. The pool was great.
Review 46:great...many thanks and a fantastic place with great hosts...superb
Review 47:The number 6 is a long way from no 5 and 7... a bit hard to find and better signing would be nice :-)
Review 48:The location. Extremely friendly owner - she came with some extra bread for us since we arrived late and had to leave early before breakfast. Nice room/studio which was cool whilst extremely warm outside.
Review 49:No WiFi
Review 50:Very friendly and helpful owners. Extremely comfortable beds. We had the family suite and found the kitchen/laundry facilities very useful.
Review 51:There did not seem to be any permanent staff. When we arrived there was no one there until someone appeared to let us in. Different person there later and then another person doing breakfast... all were pleasant but it did feel a bit strange.
Review 52:Decor was very tasteful with lots of interesting things around. The situation perfect for visiting the town.
Review 53:The lovely French provincial house very well located over the river from the fabulous old town. A foot bridge close by links the house with the city. The house garden would be ideal in summer for relaxing after a day out. Parking excellent
Review 54:It was difficult to find. We found nos 2-4 and 3-5 but it took us a while to discover no 6 several hundred metres down the river bank and across the park. It was also difficult to gain access the first time as the correct entrance wasn't obvious and all entrances were protected by intercom systems - a bit daunting if your French isn't up to much. However, once over those obstacles our stay was very good.
Review 55:Beautiful building, impeccably maintained. Very friendly proprietor. His English was better than my French!
Review 56:Very helpful and friendly owners. The room was delightful, lovely comfy bed and great bathroom. Stunning position within walking distance to everything.
Review 57:Difficult to find using SATNAV
Review 58:Friendly and delightful host, close to the centre of Figeac, pool facilities available, although not enough time to use it
Review 59:Bedroom was quite basic and on the small side. O.K. for one night but not for an extended stay.
Review 60:Owner was most welcoming and friendly. Easy to walk into the heart of Figeac from the accommodation. Good breakfast. Very relaxed feel to the place.
Review 61:The owner manager is friendly and helpful - with advice and booking restaurants. Breakfast slightly too small for a day of cycling ahead but we soon topped up on then way.
Review 62:Partition to adjoining room thin so a bit noisy. Gent in charge wasdifficult when changing date of booking. Even a french tourist officeperson said he was not nice! The owners have 2 dogs and 1 especially isvery neglected with badly matted fur and some sores. Something should bedone about this neglect. Is there some animal organization who couldcheck the condition of the dogs?
Review 63:Location central and near the river. Rooms were nicely decoratedattractive and comfortablr for the money.
Review 64:Basic breakfast - croissant, baguette, jam and coffee. No fruit or cereals or anything else for that matter.
Review 65:Very friendly owner, located by river, pleasant gardens, some secure parking, spacious room
Review 66:pay for breakfast -good coffee and crossiants/jam --maybe a little expensive but good
Review 67:great location, very friendly family owned12th century home. private secured parking. helpful owner. lovely garden sitting area.
Review 68:Somewhat difficult to find, due to numbering system on the street, and location of the house number on the perpendicular street.
Review 69:Very friendly owner. Convenient parking on side street and in public lot across the street. Quite pleasant grounds. Town is okay, but not as nice as some others in the area.
Review 70:If your neighbor plays radio all the night (like mine) you will mentioned as well ,because there are thin walls there.
Review 71:Privat hotel (room in an old Villa), everthink was nice
Review 72:Difficult to find
Review 73:Monsieur was very friendly and provided a fantastic welcome including arun down on the town and the best places to view and eat. Theaccommodation was charming and the breakfast very relaxed and welcoming.Very convenient for this charming town and a delightful property.
Review 74:Much better than the (major chain) competition - one of the few hotels in Figeac center. Includes a "homey" atmosfere, 4 very comfortable rooms, and home-made breakfast.
Review 75:Squeaky floor and bed...but it is a lovely old home, so this is just part of its character and charm.
Review 76:The host was wonderful, the rooms were lovely and very clean, location just across the river from town was great.
Review 77:Small room, thin walls
Review 78:Location and the breakfest
