Once an 18th-century farmhouse, the family-run hotel is in a secluded area on the Somerset, Dorset and Devon borders. It is surrounded by natural pastures only 3 minutes from Chard town center. A warm and friendly atmosphere awaits you.

Review 1：The location. Its a little far from town centre. Its dated and could do with up grading its decor overall but especially in dining room and bar

Review 3：The patio from the bar was directly below many rooms and with thte window open the noise was distracting until early morning. No aircon so needed the window open.

Review 14：I would have liked a pot of coffee at breakfast. On leaving I mentioned this at reception and they said that when I next stay that will be no problem.

Review 15：The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely views from the bedroom and also the dinning room. The food was well prepared, well presented and plenty of choice. I can recommend the Lemon desert. The reception staff had a good knowledge of local places to visit and supplied me with leaflets and directions. I will be going back later in the year.

Review 16：All staff were very welcoming, cheerfull, friendly and nothing was to much trouble. It is a very nice quiet location and it is also close to several places to visit. We also ate in the restaurant each evening as the food was great. The room was very clean and spacious and we really enjoyed our stay here and will be going back next year.
