Review 1：For a four star hotel and superior room I was disappointed to see wallpaper peeling from the wall near the bedroom window. The window was so high you had to stand at it to see out. Hotel was clean but there just seemed to be something missing - no atmosphere to it at all.

Review 2：Comfortable large room with hot drink facility. Good sized shower. Free car park.

Review 3：The only negative of our stay was that the shower door was a bit narrow, so that neither of us could shower without getting water all over the floor.

Review 11：Driving to the hotel the area didn't look that great, but actually it was very close to the lovely old town and only a short walk away.

Review 25：I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past 20 years. The hotel staff are lovely, it has excellent parking, the rooms are fine for short stays and it is in a very good location for the City of Vannes

Review 26：This hotel makes a withholding of one night when you book the room. Later, when you pay the previous withholding last until the following day. For instance, if you are going to stay one night, at the end, with the previous withholding you have a total withholding of two nights. Finally, you pay only one night but the credit of your card has been reduced into two nights cost. I do not like this type of practices, because it is an important restriction to the limit of your credit card when you book.

Review 33：Well, it's not what you'd expect from a four star. The room was very small, no extras, very plain. The brekkie selection, apart for the expresso machine really rather poor and too expensive. We were a little disappointed by the place. Also our view was into their quite neglected garden.

Review 37：This is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are too small and don't have the facilities for a 4 star. So if you go expecting a good 3 star hotel, you'll be happy. If you go expecting 4 star treatment, you will be disappointed.

Review 40：We liked the ample parking and the warm reception. Our room had everything we could possibly want and the bathroom was a good size with a bath and overhead rain shower. The breakfast buffet was simple but good value. The hotel is close to the medieval quarter and we took a delightful road train tour to find our bearings. There was a lovely park and lake over the road from the hotel and the Gulf of Mourbihan is very pretty indeed. Must mention a restaurant near the hotel called Anna and Paul after the owners' children. Gourmet experience at very reasonable price. Loved our two day stay on the way north to stay with friends in Brittany.

She was not unpleasant in any way but we felt she had other things to do and was not going to let us have any more than the minimum of information. We also felt that the breakfast was quite expensive.

Review 91：The hotel provided, for us, the perfect overnight stop on our journey from the south of France to the Channel port of Cherbourg. It is ideally situated in Vannes with restaurants close by, is in a quiet location and very comfortable.

Review 92：We were given a room on the ground floor and it was very hot and we had to leave the French window open and shutter closed and we got badly bitten by Mosquitos. As we had booked for three nights we were given a room with air conditioning for the other nights. We were also surprised to discover that we did not save any money by booking via the Internet - we paid the same price as someone coming off the street.

Review 96：Mixed reviews. Had great room on second floor. Dog barking and howling early morning and on. Staff moved us to other side of building, acknowledging they have a dog problem. Felt hotel personnel accommodated to business seminars and were cool to guests on vacation. Suggestion: if you have food on reception counter make sure there is some for guests and not just employees of a company. Some employees helpful with internet access. Others acted as if requests were a bother. Improvement on friendliness needed.

Review 97：I've stayed at La Marebaudiere several times travelling on motorbike and by car. It is great location near Vannes centre. On this latest visit we discovered that the hotel has had a fantastic make over giving it a very modern feel whilst retaining its friendly and inviting atmosphere. I also appreciate the secure free parking. I recommend taking the boat trip to the islands.
