Reviews for Best Western Le Pont d'Or
Review 1:As always the car parking featured in this Hotel's publicity fills up quickly so you have to be there early-the locals appear to completely ignore the "Parking for guests only" sign!!
Review 2:The location makes this Hotel a great stay but the décor/facilities are starting to show signs of wear-perhaps an update is needed to keep it to 3 star standard.
Review 3:Great mattress but with a plastic or rubber undercover that makes it very hot, unfortunately typical of French hotels.
Review 4:Location, parking available, superb terrace
Review 5:Beautiful historic building with modern interior. Good restaurant and meals. Excellent bedroom - ours had a balcony over the river. Close to well preserved historic city centre with fantastic Saturday market. Free parking for hotel guests.
Review 6:Entrance to the reception of the hotel does not do it justice.
Review 7:Location within easy reach of medieval city Terrace restaurant and bar Parking no problem
Review 8:Hotel was quite expensive , and the room was small, the bathroom needed updating . The shower was above the bath .
Review 9:Location was excellent overlooking the river .
Review 10:Nothing
Review 11:My wife is recovering and needs assistance, walker etc. and the staff put us in a room with walk in shower facilities which was most appreciated.
Review 12:The room was very basic for a 3 star hotel. Room was also very noisy as it was above the kitchen.
Review 13:The location on the river was excellent. We had a pleasant meal outdoors on the terrace
Review 14:We ended up in room 222 below the swimming pool pump which ran continuously from around 8.am. to 9pm and our balcony didn't have a roof (as did others) . But minor points which didn't spoil our stay
Review 15:The location is amazing - and the staff so friendly. They even moved us to a room to the front with a balcony.
Review 16:Overall cleanliness was very good, but piping behind toilet needs to be cleaned, as it was quite dusty and had a bit of a whiff.
Review 17:Staff at reception were extremely helpful, in particular, Annabelle.
Review 18:The room was tiny, there was no fridge, we could not pay by credit card, and several items on the bill should not have been there.
Review 19:The location, the charm, the bed
Review 20:The traffic noise made it difficult to sleep and the shower was useless. We had to use the bath which makes a nonsense of the professed eco understanding. However, there was little choice for people with dietary requirements (diabetes etc) and this should be looked at. Not really difficult (sugar-free yoghurts etc) to organise.
Review 21:The staff were lovely and the restaurant was good. The situation by the river was most enjoyable and the hotel is convenient for the old town.
Review 22:Nothing except our stay was too short.
Review 23:Location, the hotel itself on the river, excellent restaurant. We had trouble as our IPod & camera had been stolen at Gaillac station & the staff were so helpful with our police report & very supporting. Figeac is an amazing town & he hotel is close to everything
Review 24:The kitchen was closed Saturday and Sunday evenings so no opportunity to try the menu.
Review 25:This was a special treat for my 90 year old mother who once lived in Figeac. We enjoyed our stay especially appreciated was her large room with a balcony over the river
Review 26:Great location in the centre of Figeac yet very convenient parking. Very welcoming at reception; room comfortable with lovely view across the river to the old town. Good restaurant and buffet breakfast.
Review 27:We arrived at 3.45pm as did another couple of travellers. There was nobody at reception. We rang the bell at least 20 times, we called, we knocked on all the doors marked prive. Nothing. We went to the restaurant, the bar etc It was like the Marie Celest. Dreadful service. At 4.15pm a young women appeared. She was very off hand and said we should have rung the bell. Very disappointing. The rest of the staff were fine although dinner was nothing special.
Review 28:The town and the location and handy car park, also a good breakfast.
Review 29:Room small - hardly any room between bed and wall. I hit and cut my head on the shelf for the TV.
Review 30:Easy to walk into town. Good bathroom, though shower screen leaked.
Review 31:Small thing at hotel re. pool - if you have family expecting pool experience this is a very small, roof-top option. Great there is one in a town but just to note.
Review 32:Wonderful views from rooms overlooking the river, town has ample choice for food/drinks
Review 33:We were between two destinations and could not stay more than one night!
Review 34:The hotel is facing the old town of Figeac, along the quiet river Célé. The setting and the hotel are French at their best. There is also a restaurant attached that I recommend. Very good staff, very nice room, very good sleep.

Review 52:Really good hotel, couldn't find a fault.

Review 54:News on TV not available in English - CNN would have been good
Review 55:Professional service, good food and wine ist
Review 56:Lacks sufficient French flavour
Review 57:Good position Good food
Review 58:The breakfast, the food was quite poor. The design of the bathroom is potentially hazardous!
Review 59:Friendly helpful staff
Review 60:A bit noisy from the traffic but that is not a fault of the hotel. Can't think of anything. Enjoyed our brief stay.
Review 61:Very comfortable, nice staff, great location.
Review 62:The room and linens smelled like a cat had lived in the room. Also, very poor insulation. You can hear everything going on inside as well as outside of the hotel.
Review 63:Well maintained hotel, very clean staff very helpful. Very close to centre and shops/restaurants. Second stay here and would highly recommend. Would also recommend the hotels restaurant, wide choice of lovely food and wine. .
Review 64:Potentially too much traffic noise.
Review 65:Conveniently situated for visiting the old town centre of Figeac and not too far from the station (10mins walk ?). Some rooms (not ours) overlook the river and the town. Staff pleasant and efficient. Food good.
Review 66:The very dirty bathroom and carpets. The bad layout for breakfast and although it was supposed to run until 10-00am at 8-30 there was no eggs or bacon left. It is in a VERY noisy location.
Review 67:The staff were polite.
Review 68:The hotel parking lot not big enough for all guests.
Review 69:Location was perfect. Breakfast on a nice terrace over the river. AC worked well. Calm. Pool on the roof.
Review 70:Constant traffic noise until night time, Figeac seems to be on a main lorry route.
Review 71:River view with balcony, helpful staff, good breakfast. Definitely pay the extra for the view. Great stop off point for sensational two rivers trip
Review 72:Temperature of pool....will return when warmer!!!
Review 73:Location was superb for relaxing night before business trip...several restaurants and bars in walking distance
Review 74:The yellow net curtains which were a DIY disaster! The rain!!
Review 75:The hotel was right in the centre of Figeac on the banks of the River Lot, so the views from our balcony were lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent Room with balcony good also the bathroom was good. Try to book a room with a balcony and river view. The other rooms are a bit gloomy.
