Reviews for Shave Farm
Review 1:Nothing.
Review 2:Very warm and friendly welcome, nice and quiet at night with a lovely soft and comfortable bed with possibly the best quilt I have ever slept under. On top of all that was an exceptional breakfast in the morning. Excellent venue, will definitely be staying there again.
Review 3:Excellent hosts the best that we have ever encountered - fabulous location with spotlessly clean accommodation including a fabulous home cooked breakfast - definitely worth staying if you're visiting Chard or surrounding area
Review 4:We arrived for the night to break our trip back to London from Cornwall. We were shown to the family room which was quite a surprise - a great surprise. When you walked in the door you were in a lovely living area with a table set with the continental part of breakfast as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate. There were pitchers of milk and orange juice in the fridge. There was also a kettle, toaster and microwave. A comfortable sofa and television rounded out the room. Upstairs - the bedroom had a king sized bed and a single bed. There was also a desk with a make up mirror and a really good hair dryer inside. The bathroom was clearly recently redone. There was a shower that had great pressure and tons of hot water. We put in our order for hot breakfast the night before. It arrived exactly when requested. My partner had a veggie breakfast and I had mushrooms on toast. Both were excellent. There was fruit, bread, yogurt and spreads of all sorts as well as coffee and tea. A great start to the day. I would happily go back anytime.
Review 5:There was some noise from the main road at night but this was easily resolved by closing the door to the loo, which provided an effective buffer.
Review 6:Comfy and in a convenient location for a longer stay or a stop-off on the way to the South West. Nicely appointed room and excellent breakfast in the morning. On a real farm - you could watch the cows coming into the yard in the morning!
Review 7:Nothing
Review 8:The rooms were lovely and clean with all the necessities. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb. A fantastic b&b and great value. Would highly recommend

Review 11:There is nothing not to like about Shave Farm - the location and roomare fantastic, as is the breakfast. My mother was particularly delightedto be offered a cup of tea and biscuits when we arrived, as if we weregoing to a friend's house!I would say, the photos on the website don't do the place justice - the farm itself is beautiful.
Review 12:Very friendly, wonderfull location, the B&B was tastfully decorated, very clean, bedroom was spacious with huge comfortable bed, the full engish breakfast was excellent.
Review 13:We have stayed in many different types of accommodation but Kate and James could not have made our stay more welcome. We felt like we had made some life long friends after only 2 nights. Everything was perfect from the minute we arrived.

Review 20:Everything about Shave Farm is fabulous. James and Kate were wonderful hosts and couldn't do enough for you. We booked a deluxe double room and got a suite which was first class and the breakfast was also first class. Was lovely watching the cows being milked and the calves being fed. Would highly recommend this B&B to anyone.

Review 26:Couldn't fault anything
Review 27:All the previous reviews are spot on.The hosts are very welcoming and on hand for anything you need. The accommodation is wonderful and the breakfast is lovely, the only shame was we overdid at a party and couldn't do the food justice! Can't recommend enough and trying to think of an excuse to take the kids as the garden is perfect for them to play in and they can help on the farm. 10 out of 10.
Review 28:The property is lovely, the owners are very friendly and can't do enough for you and the room was very comfortable. There is also the added bonus of a great guests lounge - I will definitely stay again if I am working in the area.
Review 29:Everything was top notch, Kate was welcoming, friendly and very helpful the room was really comfortable, so much so that I am currently looking for the same make of continental quilt for my own home. The breakfast was home cooked and plentiful with fresh eggs from Shave Farm. The room was well equipped and the shower was very clean and powerful.

Review 32:I didn´t like the sound of traffic in the night. The shower room was short of the usual toiletries. (shower cap, soap, cup for toothbrushes etc.) When we wanted to wash out our cups we had to go upstairs to use the shower room basin.
Review 33:We liked the modern up to date furnishings and large bed. We liked having a fridge, The breakfast was good.
Review 34:No bad experience, but be sure you have a sat nav as the accomodation is a few hundred meters on a small road

Review 46:Road noise might be intrusive for a long stay of more than a few days. Downstairs room would be improved with the addition of a small sink and drain to wash out drinks cups etc. Location of downstairs TV could be improved by moving off the wall.

Review 50:We were there for a nearby wedding. Kate gave us a very warm welcome with tea and yummy biscuits. My husband is gluten free and I am a veggie but Kate went out of her way to go and purchase gluten free bread etc. it was a beautiful, warm environment and wouldn't hesitate to return. Kate also showed us around the other available rooms/sc units which were equally of the fantastic high standard as our accommodation. If you are in the area it's a must to stay there. 5 stars. Excellent.
