Reviews for Meublés Les Charmettes
Review 1:A bit difficult to find with a sat nav but ok if you enter 51 instead of 65 as it is at the same location.
Review 2:Gorgeous, modern apartment in the hills overlooking Chambery. Fantastic views of the mountains. The owners are very friendly and welcoming.
Review 3:Be warned that it's tricky to find, and the narrow winding road up the hill requires a lot of maneuvering, even with a small car.
Review 4:Liliane and Claude were wonderful hosts. The apartment is rustic outside and modern inside, probably the best-appointed B&B we've ever stayed at. It was refreshingly cool inside on a blazing hot summer day, despite no air conditioning. On a quiet hillside with a beautiful view of the town and mountains. Far exceeded expectations!
Review 5:WIFI on our visit was very slow, strong signal but took forever to open anything. Not a huge problem for us on our one night stay. I suspect this was unusual looking at other reviews. You do hear the family moving around above you in the early morning and at times it was quite intrusive. Difficult really as the studio is a part of the house on the ground floor. Blame the builders!
Review 6:Perfect little bijoux studio. Well equipped with everything you need, very clean and comfortable, in a fabulous quiet location. Liliane is a perfect host we had a very warm welcome. The studio is on the ground floor next to the garden. Entrance is just down from the main entrance to the house. You enter straight into the open plan kitchen/living area. Around the corner is a shower room with clothing area, a separate toilet and a bedroom nook (no door). The studio is well lit and bright with windows and light neutral decor. High quality linens, toiletries and kitchen sundries. We had an excellent night en route to the south of France. Very nice continental breakfast. Perfect for singles and couples.
Review 7:I can think of nothing to say. We liked everything about this place and the owners were more than perfect..
Review 8:Very friendly host. Nothing a trouble. Made us most welcome and was extremely helpful. There was a birthday present for my wife when we arrived and a restaurant booked for a meal. Liliane drove us to the restaurant and collected us afterwards! What more can I say.
Review 9:There was something wrong with WiFi Internet (not with the signal but rather with the quality of the Internet itself), but it was enough to get and post some emails. Anyway, I couldn't complain because in most of all other aspects this apartment is A++.
Review 10:The owner of this apartment, Liliane, is a very kind, friendly and attentive woman. She helped me to find the apartment as it was a bit tricky to get to by car. She also gave us toys for our little kid, and then offered really tasty breakfast in the morning. Parking was a bit tricky for my too long car, but she did us a favor and removed her car so that I could park with ease. After we departed it turned out that we forgot something in the apartment, and she called us immediately, so that we could take it back. I would love to come back here.
Review 11:Loved this b&b. It is a lovely, modern, new and clean one bedroom flat attached to the hostesses' house. Very comfortable and lots of room. Can be hard to find, but not far to town and very secluded. We loved it!
Review 12:The apartment is most charming, clean, well-equipped and in a lovely, country setting...could not have asked for a more peaceful and romantic weekend getaway. Lilliane's hospitality was first rate!!!
Review 13:None
Review 14:Location excellent, apartment had a crisp modern decor and the owners were very friendly and helpful. They provided an excellent breakfast. We would recommend this apartment above Chambery.
Review 15:Superb location and fabulous accommodation. Would definitely recommend. Lilian the owner was absolutely charming and so welcoming. We didn't have time for breakfast in the morning, but Lilian made us a very welcome coffee before we left. The views from the property are stunning. Just make sure that you research your journey, the property is up on the hillside, off the main roads, which only adds to the charm of the location.
Review 16:Not a dislike but perhaps the position out of the main town needing a steep walk back to the house (or a tricky drive!) may not suit everyone
Review 17:Lovely accommodation carefully appointed. Liliane is a very considerate host who provided breakfast each morning of our four night stay which was delicious. This apartment had everything we required.
Review 18:Friendly welcome, clean and spacious accommodation, gret breakfast
Review 19:We only stayed one night - wish we had booked longer!
Review 20:Wow. What a beautiful stay. Highly recommended. Incredible views of Chambery. It was such a pleasure to stay in this stunning property, nestled in the hillside. The apartment was clean and stylish and very comfortable. We had all the mod-cons in our apartment, including an electric blanket and an electric 'wood-burner'. Our host Liliane was so accommodating from the start and we felt very well looked after indeed. In particular, she served us one of the most incredible breakfasts - lots of lovely local and homemade produce. We ate like kings! My boyfriend's parents were staying in a camper van a few miles from us and she invited them to join us for breakfast. She really was such an incredible hostess. We ate breakfast outside overlooking her garden of cherry trees. Don't think twice - this is a 'must stay'. Before booking, check you are have the directions to the property, because it is tucked away, it's worth taking a print out of a map with you. Liliane was of course very helpful in directing us to the property. Wonderful! Can't thank you enough.
Review 21:Meubles Les Charmettes is in a lovely garden setting. We were welcomed with fresh cherries, flowers and an offer of fresh-laid eggs. Liliane was a charming and helpful hostess. Our two-night stay was most enjoyable.
