Reviews for Hôtel De La Tour

Review 1:Very small room and bathroom 10 euros is a bit expensive for their breakfast

Review 2:Location right on the central square of the village Nice old building Private parking (small one, book it before arrival) Comfy bed and nice bed linen

Review 3:Sauna working schedule should be at least up to 10pm.

Review 4:Excellent & friendly staff, they have prepared a bottle of champaign for the birthday of my wife. Breakfast in room. Confortable bed and perfect central location with convenient wifi.

Review 5:The beds were not very comfortable. Very hard & pretty dated...could use an upgrade. All the furniture was a bit used.

Review 6:The staff were very friendly & spoke good English. Nice lobby area to sit & relax.

Review 7:The WiFi signal was a bit weak, at least in our room.

Review 8:Very quaint hotel, in the middle of the picturesque village of Ribeauville. The breakfast was very good, and the room comfortable and cozy.

Review 9:the hotel was a nightmare of a place to find: there should be some sat nav guidance on website. No room to swing a cat in the bathroom.

Review 10:very quaint medieval town; very comfortable bed.

Review 11:Wifi was bad and disconnected all the time. There was noise from the street but this is the price you pay for being in the center of town. We were in the third floor with low ceiling which was not so comfortable

Review 12:Good location at the center of the village. Close to all restaurants and bakeries. A lot of free parking close by.

Review 13:We had a lovely room overlooking the main square in Ribeauville and with a lovely view of the Tower and hills beyond. In spite of being in the centre, it was quiet (apart from a few bells). The room was clean and comfortable with a sofa. We would have been happy to stay longer and would definitely stay here again.

Review 14:Really peacefull hotel with sauna and hot tub. Really relaxing after long day hiking or biking. Helpfull and friendly staff. Room clean, cosy and big enough for two. Good value for money. Would choose again for longer stay.

Review 15:The room was lovely. Very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and spoke English to help us. The position was amazing - right on the middle of town. Parking nearby was very convenient. What a lovely town. We had an excellent time here.

Review 16:Room was small and onto the street, could be very noisy as it was quit warm and necessary to leave window open... No air conditioning. I would not be able to stay in that room in the summer due to the heat and the noise.

Review 17:Wi-Fi is complicated because you have to reconnect every couple of minutes. We also had to reenter the credentials every time, which is annoying. But that's about the only downside.

Review 18:The location couldn't be any better. Pricing also is good considering the location.

Review 19:The warm bedroom at night kepte awake.

Review 20:Very good. Rooms can get quite warm at night and no a/c... leave windows open, then very noisy from the street. Overall, quite happy with our stay and would certainly stay here in the future!

Review 21:WE got the Room 23 the end of the building , may be that is why WIFI, TEL lines did nit work well at all, even around receptionist area did not strong well. I was not feeling well , but had to go down and up several times to find out solutions, but they did not help well that way.I felt they were not ready yet for high business seasons. Family business OK , but should organaiyed a bit better to have customers.

Review 22:We had been almost over 15 years to visitted around there , so knew very well around area. Many villages, hotels Quiet been a lot. , Clean, Good price.... Staffs are OK .

Review 23:There is a market on the square on Saturday morning and so the sounds of the market stalls being prepared woke us up, but otherwise it wasn't that much of a nuisance. The room decor was slightly dated but this wasn't a problem for us. WIFI is available in the hotel but it was necessary to log in fairly often.

Review 24:Rooms were clean and a good size. Location excellent, right on one of the main squares. Access to many restaurants and wine cellars within minutes by foot. Free access to the hotel's jacuzzi, steam room and sauna - towels were provided free of charge. The hotel has a car park but there was free parking available 5 minutes walk away.

Review 25:Impossible to access any internet [email, news, etch] c'esr dommage

Review 26:Staff very accommodating and responsive Location [right in the heart of the village] could not be surpassed

Review 27:Room was tiny and very hot (in fall!). Could hardly turn around in room. Wi-Fi unstable and slow. Disco right next to the hotel. Very noisy until 2 am. Drunk, loud people on the street all night , could not close window cause it was too hot. Breakfast buffet very mediocre. Breakfast buffet very mediocer

Review 28:Right in the center of town

Review 29:The breakfast seemed rather expensive and another time I think we might get something to eat in the town instead.

Review 30:This wasn't particularly cheap, but I am not sure this exists in Ribeauville. It was conveniently located in the town centre and although parking is available we were told that to park in the square by the hotel it wasn't necessary to buy a parking ticket, which saved us 6 euros.

Review 31:No air conditioning. It was hot and because of outside noise had to sleep with windows closed. Owner(?) hanging in the lobby by the tv most of the evening.

Review 32:Awesome location. Parking on site is limited and cost additional, but city center parking is only a block away and is free.

Review 33:The best location in Ribeauville. Close to the clock tower and the church so be ready for the chimes and bells. Nice staff. Reasonable price. Breakfast was minimal which is typical for the French hotels. Would recommend to book a parking slot with the hotel (cost 6 euro for me) since there is not too much space in the medieval city.

Review 34:Not enough car parking Fittings in bathroom not thought out - couldn't reach toilet roll when on the toilet, couldn't lift tap lever far because it hit shelf above

Review 35:Position Meal

Review 36:The receptionists were very friendly and helpful, recommending good places to eat and providing us with clear directions. Loved looking out over the square with the tower and hear the sound of the fountain.

Review 37:The location and the beakfast

Review 38:Good location in the centre of the town. Good secure parking on site.

Review 39:Nothing but good experiences.

Review 40:Great welcome and friendliness of staff

Review 41:Gentillesse du personnel

Review 42:Great location and staff. The private parking lot was a big plus as parking in town is a problem. Great base for touring the wine country.

Review 43:Good location, easy parking nearby (you don't have to use the payed one the hotel offers)

Review 44:Lovely, relaxing stay in a beautiful location. Freindly staff, great value for money

Review 45:Fast Internet. Comfortable atmosphere.

Review 46:It can give some noice ourside

Review 47:Great central location with own car park ( six euros a night) and sign posted as you get into the town. Very friendly staff.

Review 48:Quite small rooms, not too modern

Review 49:Located in the centre, which is really great

Review 50:No air con or fan in height of a beautiful French summer made it very difficult to sleep.

Review 51:Great location.

Review 52:Room at 3rd. floor facing west w/o AC or fan pure minimal bathroom

Review 53:Adjacent Parrking

Review 54:The town clocks striking every hour made the night a little disturbed

Review 55:beautiful town,

Review 56:price

Review 57:welcome, location, ...

Review 58:location, facilities

Review 59:Situation, reasonable charge for pet

Review 60:Lovely pretty clean town and likewise the hotel. Very helpful staff. Private parking.

Review 61:Limited parking. Had to park on public car park, but only a few steps away.

Review 62:For €10 extra charge per person, the breakfast selection was extremely poor quality.

Review 63:Good location in centre of town.

Review 64:A very friendly and nice hotel. Receptionist especially helpful very nice stay

Review 65:There is no air condition.

Review 66:The staffs were nice and helpful.

Review 67:Very small room and bath. (Room 31)

Review 68:Kind and helpfull staff

Review 69:Near the vets for uk dog passport. Excellent vet in Ribeauville

Review 70:Not much parking on site. However, we were able to find offsite free parking

Review 71:Good value for money.

Review 72:Cost of parking in the hotel plus extra cost of 3.5 euros for scrambled egg on top of the 10 euros for the standard breakfast was a bit over the top

Review 73:Excellent location , Friendly staff and comfortable rooms

Review 74:We were there on the hottest day of the year so far, and while our room was tolerable, our family's room was very hot (without air conditioner or fans). Would be useful to have a fan or ceiling fan to move the air since air conditioning isn't available.

Review 75:We always love visiting this hotel, in the heart of the medieval city. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the room is comfortable. The location is unbeatable.

Review 76:I would definitely stay here again, but would request a room on a different side of the building. Our room overlooked the square. It was a bit warm outside, so we needed the window open to sleep comfortably; however, there was quite loud music until very late in the evening. I am not sure whether there was an event in the neighboring building (we saw a wedding there earlier in the day) or if there is a club/bar nearby.

Review 77:Wonderful location in the heart of Ribeauxville. Private, secure parking for 6E per night. Free wi-fi. Pets allowed with a small charge. Comfortable and clean room.

Review 78:The room was not spacious and the bathroom a little tired but not really a problem.

Review 79:Friendly and comfortable hotel in the heart of this picturesque town. It has good facilities (including a hot-tub) and public areas. Breakfast was good and they have parking on site.

Review 80:room was rather small but nice, wellness area is somewhat weird with a big window front to the back entry of the hotel

Review 81:perfect location, nice staff, very nice lobby area

Review 82:Very friendly staff, cozy rooms, romantic atmosphere with traditional interiors. Bang in the centre of town. It's been the highlight of our trip! Highly recommended !

Review 83:the mattress of the beds were too soft. The rooms are rather small, but ok for a night or two The breakfast room is quite small and the choice of breakfast is ok, but limited

Review 84:great location, historic building, friendly staff. the extra bed for our daughter and the baby bed were already prepared when we arrived

Review 85:the noise of the parquet floor of the room. we could nt walk through the room without making an horrible noise with the wooden floor cracking at each path.

Review 86:the situation and the amability of the people of the village who let your park at any place of the city

Review 87:The best personnel, excellent localization - in the heart of city. If You like wine it's perfect place to dedustation the best wines in the world.

Review 88:Bathroom could be a little larger. Although we parked in the hotel's car park, we had to pay each day.

Review 89:Great location for visiting Alsace region. Our room was under the eaves, so quite simple and compact. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast

Review 90:Breakfast was expensive at 10 Euro/person with limited options to choose from.

Review 91:Excellent location to enjoy the village during the day and a place to relax at night.

Review 92:very limited parking, some days the cars had to be parked in quite inventive ways I am vegan, when asked about soy milk for breakfast, I was told they don't have any, which is ok, but they could have got some for the next days

Review 93:location - right in the middle of town, close to restaurants and the hike to 3 castles, but also convenient to get to the wine route; simple but nice breakfast; charming old building (without a/c, but opening the windows worked fine)

Review 94:First of all, our hotel room (superior) was really hot as our stay was in the middle of a heatwave. With no air conditioning, we had to sleep with the window open, which meant that we were kept awake not only by the people on the main town square but by all the bells of Ribeauville that toll at least twice an hour, also during the night. So, very little sleep during the two nights we stayed. The bathroom was even hotter, it reminded me of a sauna with bad ventilation. The wifi was extremely poor and worked only sporadically. As said, the staff was mostly friendly but the owner (I guess he was the owner) seemed annoyed if we mentioned any problems with the wifi, heat, ventilation or parking. Yes, secure parking is a nice feature, but it was very tight and sometimes quite an issue. We were even told to park elsewhere in town once but we declined as we had reserved and paid for the parking. So, in sum, if we ever go back to Alsace and Ribeauville, we will definitely find another hotel.

Review 95:The location is really central, with dozens of restaurants nearby. Breakfast was quite alright. The staff was mostly friendly. Private parking.

Review 96:The instructions on finding their car park amongst the warren of one way streets could be improved

Review 97:Well fitted out hotel which looks like it has had a recent refurb in a great central location. Helpful staff

Review 98:Wasn't always someone at reception. Gym equipment so outdated, like something from the 80's.

Review 99:Great location. Room was nice and staff helpful. Can't really fault it for the price. Free wifi was great.

Review 100:The parking is limited, especially if you are driving a SUV. Not all the doubles are equally spacious, so book early!

Review 101:Location, location! This hotel is smack in the middle of Ribeauville. There is a fountain in front of the front door that spouts wine during Piperdays, a holiday that takes place on the first weekend in September. The breakfast is continental, but has many choices. The rooms are well-equipped.

Review 102:City traffic in what should be a pedestrian area.

Review 103:Spacious rooms, very quiet, relaxing environment, excellent and centrallocation with saturday street market directly in front of the hotel.

Review 104:Very good location

Review 105:Small rooms

Review 106:Very central position

Review 107:Location, ambience, personnel, breakfast!!

Review 108:Free wifi re-connection applies every couple of minutes.

Review 109:Perfect location, lovely deco and very helpful staff.

Review 110:Fresh fruit for breakfast.

Review 111:Location was great! Loved the town of Ribeauville!

Review 112:perfect location, lovely rooms, attentive staff, absolutely recommendable

Review 113:Very friendly staff, the location was even better than I thought! Truly in the middle of historical area- wonderful!

Review 114:God hotel, limited breakfast with ok quality. Own parking, but parking in the streets behind the hotel is possible, at least beginning of july.

Review 115:basic. old fashioned.

Review 116:easy parking. convenient location. Clean. That's all that need to be mentioned.

Review 117:No air-conditioning

Review 118:middle of the city friendly staff and uncomplicated service (check-in/out, invoice etc.)

Review 119:Nice hotel with a good location, comfortably rooms with "home-feeling".
