Reviews for The Cobbled Yard Hotel

Review 1:It is a typical European hotel, with small room but really nothing to not like. As Americans we are accustom to a bit more space but the property exceeded my expectations.

Review 2:Close to everything in this Town and the staff was very nice

Review 3:The electric showers were lukewarm, the clock in the room was ticking too loud and the decor was a bit dated.

Review 4:Warm rooms, friendly staff! The building itself has a lot of character being about 600 years old (as one of the staff told us). The food in the pub was excellent.

Review 5:Parking was a bit of a problem but could use a free one just a short walk away. I am disabled and all their rooms are upstairs but there are 2 bannisters so I managed.

Review 6:Fantastic for the centre of Berwick Upon Tweed, friendly staff and cosy room. Also dog friendly! Would be a great base for days out or as a stop over on a longer journey. Breakfast was delicious.

Review 7:Didnt like the hair and scum marks around the basin, stains on the bedcovers, pet hair all over the carpet.damp places coming through thewallpaper. And this was a £100 pound a night room, place was discusting! Had booked it for two nights, did not stay at all.

Review 8:Absolutly nothing.

Review 9:There was a power failure and from 16.00 till 23.11 no power in the hotel, this inconvienienced us but it was not life threatning. In the morning on paying our bill, the proprietress, without any prompting, gave us a reduction for the power failure inconvienience. A nice and seldom event.

Review 10:Not a bad experience but would have appreciated more choice of bread for breakfast not just sliced toast! Also fresh fruit of some sort

Review 11:The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the menu choices for the evening meal-excellent value for money.

Review 12:Decor very dated and old fashioned but we had planned to return untill our very uncomfortable situation regarding a payment we already made, afterwards we decided we wont be back

Review 13:Great location, free WiFi and cooked breakfast

Review 14:Basic accomodation that is in need of updating.

Review 15:Just off the high street, easy walking access to all attractions. Friendly staff, and decent breakfast

Review 16:Didnt like the room as we was looking at an old run down shop with seagulls living on the rooftop, towel rail hanging of the wall, hard mattress and pillow and old furniture from the 1960s

Review 17:Nothing really

Review 18:Lovely traditional cut stone building. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Room was very spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean with all the conveniences you could ask for. I only stayed one night as I was on a business trip with an early morning start and I was made feel most welcome and was given a lift to the train station in the morning even though this is only 10 minutes walk away. Would definitely stay again.

Review 19:Menu in bar not very inspiring; decor very tired with unnecessary clutter; bar locked soon after 7pm; breakfast menu a bit limited!

Review 20:Car parking, TV in room, comfortable beds.

Review 21:Liked everything!
