Reviews for CGH Résidences & Spas Le Cristal de l'Alpe

Review 1:The floor was super cold, slippers are a must Sleeping was difficult for everyone, dry air due to electric heaters and probably the altitude Space is small, try rearranging furniture

Review 2:Excellent location, close to everything shopping, bakery, slopes, parking garage is there (free if you make the entire booking directly from their website) Everything we needed for cooking and sleeping was there Super staff, helpful, pleasant and polite

Review 3:the exits from the hotel were never cleared and were extremely icy each morning. not good with a 4 year old and several sets of skis to carry.

Review 4:the swimming pool and sauna areas are really lovely - very relaxing spending time here after skiing

Review 5:Didn't know about the tourist taxes till the end of our stay. This doesn't go to the hotel and isn't the hotels fault though.

Review 6:Great apartments, well kitted out, great views from our balcony, close to the slopes. The staff were really friendly, the pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi's were all greatly appreciated after a days skiing. The resort is one of my favourites. Great après ski. Will definitely be back next year!

Review 7:Only downside was that we only had 2 wifi access codes between 4 of us

Review 8:Arrived early (11am) and staff were very friendly and helpful in getting us into our apartment by 1pm when it's normally 5pm. Apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Good facilities, nice spa and good location with easy access to the slopes and for bars/restaurants. Very good value for money at the price we paid....recommend

Review 9:Fines for everything! E.G. 80 eur for leaving dishes in the sink. Needto clean room on departure need to empty bins & not enough bin bagsprovided only 2 wifi access codes per room

Review 10:Great spa area very helpful staff great value central location

Review 11:We needed to do an inventory of equipment in the kitchen. It was mandatory. The opening hours are very short and the it is impossible to reach the residence out of that time for check in/out.

Review 12:Great sauna and swimming pool. Great location.

Review 13:Alpe d'Huez is not the most swinging place in summer, but perfect for cycling!

Review 14:Very spacious comfortable appartments, great wellness and swimming pool facilities, very kind staff

Review 15:Wifi connection was not the best at peak times. Fine at other times.

Review 16:Quality of the hotel finish was very good, felt very new. Excellent spa.

Review 17:Poor wifi

Review 18:Good allround

Review 19:Nothing - it was perfect!

Review 20:Location; self catering facilities; quality of fixtures, fittings and interior

Review 21:Kitchen a bit small. Kitchen knifes not so sharp. Parking: Max headroom 1.9m - insufficient for car with skibox. Extra towels expensive. Should be free. WiFi: Only possible to use two (2) devices simultaneously. Senseo coffee maker - Nespresso would be a better fit for at hotel in this class.

Review 22:Great wellness area. Very friendly staff. Fast resolution of problems (defect coffee maker replaced withing 1 hour). Dryers for ski-boots in ski cellar. Central location. Well-equipped kitchen.

Review 23:Swimming pool and surroundings too cold and therefore unusable which meant children played in jacuzzis. Not by any means ski in ski out at least 400 metres from nearest lift. For a modern hotel the TV was pathetic-Only one English speaking TV station worked and that was Al Jazeera even if the English speaking stations had worked the choice was minimal compared to the full choice of some friends in a nearby hotel. As for paying 80 euros if you were to leave your crockery in the dishwasher-what a rip off. Beware, leaving anything in the fridge- this also carries the same penalty!

Review 24:Good sized rooms kitchen well equipped with kettle, toaster etc., our appartment had a good sized balcony. On site parking (although expensive)

Review 25:Some little things would really help! No DVD as standard in the room - you had to "borrow from reception" and there weren't enough! DVD machines don't cost very much! WiFi great, but you had to log in every time you used it, which was a bit painful! Jacuzzi TOO COLD!!

Review 26:Excellent apartment with plenty of space. Heated towel rails very useful, ski lockers large & boot warming system great. Kids loved the pool!

Review 27:Pool and jacuzzi too cold to use, lots of 'rules' with applicable fines! No English channels on TV, communal area & reception closed during day and evening and guests have to access through rear entrance, only one towell per person for a whole week, early check out but late 5pm check in

Review 28:Location, plenty of onsite parking, bakery delivery service, nice lounge area, clean and stylish decor

Review 29:The water in jacuzzi is still cold and the air temperature in the pool area could be slightly higher.

Review 30:The location is superb, the whole place is a successful mixture of a taste and convenience. The apartment is really fully equipped! The pool and saunas are very clean and nice.

Review 31:Heating didn't work in the room and despite complaining the staff didn't rectify the problem. Despite this the quality of the rooms etc was excellent.

Review 32:Location, facilities and quality. Perfect location for the town and access to the slopes. Located in the nicest part of town and close to everything. New residence, very luxurious and comfortable.

Review 33:Do not book this hotel. I stayed there for a week with friends in feb2013. We got there and got told it was not a hotel in the sense it wasself catering, and that we had to first count everything in the wholeplace and take it to reception. Alot of stuff on the itinerary wasmissing and if we had not have counted we would have to pay for it. Wehad to put a €400 deposit and upon leaving cleansed and tidied the room. They kept the €400 with no excuse given. Looking at contacting police atthe moment. Save yaself the money and book somewhere else.

Review 34:Whilst the spa area was beautiful the water in jacuzzi was a bit toocold. The entery path into the apartments was very icy and quitedangerous.

Review 35:The apartment was well appointed with quality appliances, the heatedtowel rack was a lovely touch for drying damp ski gear. The ski storagearea was superb, large lockers for each appartment, and very warm, enabling ski gear to be nice and dry the next day. The lady at receptionwas extremely welcoming even down to giving a free litre of milk as thesupermarket was closed. Wifi strong.

Review 36:Ski room like a sauna - excessively hot to stay in with ski wear on. Breakfast service - must be picked up at the reception, which is not connected indoor. Free internet - only for one device!

Review 37:Nice and clean. Lovely beds. Quiet at night. Well equipped kitchen with all facilities and cutlery for 12 people. Kitchen, dining area and cozy furnitures in the living room. In the basement, private ski room. Elevator. Free access to Spa, swimming pool, sauna and steam bath. Perfect after a day of skiing. Very nice pool area. Parking in the basement

Review 38:Hard to navigate inside the hotel until I became familiar with the layout. Need more signs, especially to boot room. Also strange that some lockers had the same number as other lockers. Hard to know which was ours at first. Steam room smelt strange. Didn't use it. Spa too cold.

Review 39:Great location, centre of town and not far to access to the slops. Good size, clean rooms with good layout and comfy beds. Love the heated towel rails in the bathroom. Great range of equipment in the self catered apartment. Sauna really nice.

Review 40:Jacuzzi too cold

Review 41:Great location

Review 42:Pool and jacuzzi need to be warmer

Review 43:Great Staff. Will visit again

Review 44:Helpful staff and they speak excellent english. New hotel with much equipment. Good hotel's place. Perfect for a family.

Review 45:Jacuzzi kept at 33degrees, lots of family with small children in the jacuzzi, not so relaxing.

Review 46:Good size, clean appartments
