Reviews for Best Western Hôtel Du Parc

Review 1:Great location 30 mins from paris on train , left car in secure hotel car park to go to paris for 2 nights. Lovely town , hotel great location . walking distance to train station.

Review 2:The beer at the bar was expensive.

Review 3:The room was a decent size, very clean, the bathroom and shower were good and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Review 4:Chantilly is a good option if you're wanting a bit of a rest before flying out of Charles de Gaulle. The town has shops and restaurants as well the forest and Chateau.

Review 5:The Wi-Fi didn't work for much of the weekend, and it was down almost all day on Saturday. I contacted staff a few times, but it didn't help. For me this was a deal-breaker, since I need a working internet connection when I travel. Also, I had requested a room overlooking the park and received an email back confirming this. However, when we arrived we were told we had a room overlooking the street. Luckily a spare room on the other side was still available.

Review 6:Good location, very friendly staff.

Review 7:The hotel had no air conditioning; unfortunately we could not sleep with the window open due to very high traffic in front of the hotel throughout the night.

Review 8:The room was nice, clean and large by European standards. Nice bar lobby in the hotel.

Review 9:I've used this hotel several times in the last 6 years. They took an age to complete the refurbishment but now it's finished it is very good. The lack of a/c stops it from being excellent but they do provide fans. The rooms at the back are better as the street can be noisy but that's the price you pay for a great location. Staff are very efficient.

Review 10:Requesting €13 for breakfast after paying that much to stay in a 3 star hotel! Carrying out heavy duty drilling/renovation work on a Saturday after 5pm and disturbing the desired peace and tranquility your guest crave without so much as a meaningful explanation or apology. Check-out time is too early in the day to be 11am. House keeping staff must properly trained on being polite, friendly and professional in carrying out their duties (desist from spending so much time chatting on personal mobile phones, endure to check and replace essentials such as shampoo, towels etc)

Review 11:Front desk staff were exceptionally outstanding and a special commendation to Marina; friendly, polite and conscientious. The location of the hotel which is quite central.

Review 12:Shocked that on checking in I was told that air conditioning was $10 . I'm sure that I was paying for air conditioned room when I made the reservation. this should not have been a surprise.

Review 13:Helpfull staff, even though their command of English was minimal.

Review 14:Friendly staff, lovely clean room with a very comfortable bed, secure car parking and left luggage facility. Amazing value for money and perfect location.

Review 15:The hotel was a little pricy and breakfast was pricy but otherwise our stay was perfect.

Review 16:The breakfast was exquisite but a little pricy at 13 euros a day. The rooms were cool in the heat of August and the staff was wonderful! I would stay there again in a heart beat!

Review 17:No complaints at all! Didn't take breakfast so can't comment.

Review 18:Have stayed there before, knew it was going to be clean and professional. lovely hotel, nice staff.

Review 19:The hotel was very clean and all the staff were very helpful and polite - I would definitely recommend this hotel - Thank you for helping to make my visit to Chantilly an enjoyable one!

Review 20:nothing at all. it was perfect from start to finish. bed was a tiny bit hard. but not tragic.

Review 21:very welcoming staff, hilarious, interested. location is lovely. the town of chantilly itself is a tiny bit dull but the hotel is perfect.

Review 22:Taxi price ordered from the reception is terrible! Twice ore even more, more expensive than in Paris! I would say it's kind of Taxi mafia over there.

Review 23:Everything in the hotel was perfect. Thanks. Location - 10 minutes walk to the castle.

Review 24:Nothing.

Review 25:Fantastic hotel in central Chantilly. Excellent for the station, and roads, perfect for touring Chantilly or surrounds. Clean, comfortable & modern. Modest charges for on street parking. Great breakfast.

Review 26:The only niggle was that, on a Sunday evening, the regular barman was apparently off work, and we had to tell his charming replacement, who was also doubling as the receptionist, how to make a gin and tonic...

Review 27:This was our third stay at the Hotel du Parc and once again we found it improved over our last one - the staff remain friendly and helpful, the rooms have clearly undergone refurbishment and are bright and comfortable, with decent air-conditioning. Breakfast simple but very adequate. There is private parking on site for 12 euros per day, but we were able to park right outside the front door (as we always have done), and it was free from 6.00 pm until 8 am the following day, and then only a couple of Euros until we left at 10. A short walk takes you to the middle of town, a slightly longer one to the Chateau, which is not to be missed.

Review 28:Only one elevator that I was aware of, but that's just a minor detail, the entire hotel is fantastic!

Review 29:The best bed I have ever slept in. Deluxe room! Modern looking! And staff very friendly!

Review 30:Room 211 needs more cupboards for putting things away and more bathroom counter space. Aside from the closet, we had to live out of our suitcases.

Review 31:Contemporary decor is beautiful -- we loved the design of the ground floor public areas and the huge black and white wall photo in the room.

Review 32:Charge of €30 for our very small dog seemed a bit steep . Previous hotel in Clermont Ferrand did not charge as it was so small !

Review 33:Large room and modern reception area , lounge and heading out to nice garden and terrace . Well located to walk to restaurants and to drive to Chateau . Overall suited us just fine for a one night stop . Two hour drive to Calais which was perfect .

Review 34:The light bulbs in the room were of a kind you would only encounter in a former Soviet republic. The sockets need to be replaced eventually.

Review 35:The staff at the reception desk was extremely professional and helpful. When I asked for 3 light bulbs to be replaced in our bathroom, it was done so immediately. The room was airy and spacious.

Review 36:Booked a superior room but room was very basic compared with other hotels we have stayed in which were much cheaper.

Review 37:Hotel was in a good location, staff helpful in reccommending restaurants in area.

Review 38:At this price and at this level of elegance, who would think to ask if there is A/C? Well there is none. The mattresses are protected with pads that are rubberized. In the middle of the night, I woke up in a terrible sweat. I had to rip off the pad and then I was able to sleep.

Review 39:It's a beautiful hotel with a big garden. The room is nicely furnished. Ask for a room facing the garden because they have big balconies.

Review 40:the receptionnist couldn't tell us if the grandes écuries were open or not. strange....

Review 41:very well located, just a few minutes from the castle or the grandes écuries.

Review 42:The double sofa bed wasn't made up and ready when we arrived late. Breakfast too expensive when you only want a light bite.

Review 43:The beds were comfortable. The room was quiet. It was clean and relaxing. Very hand for our onward journey south to Narbonne.

Review 44:Can walk to local attractions and plenty of places to eat very local to the hotel. Also the hotel has it's own off-street parking which is very useful. Can park for the day or several while exploring on foot.

Review 45:Beds a little hard. No ironing board.

Review 46:The friendly welcome and helpful advice. Nothing was a bother. Great up to date bar and lovely ambience. All staff, restaurant, front desk and bar gave great customer service. The rooms were lovely and clean. The bathroooms well equipped.

Review 47:Staff on reception did not know about hotel on street parking and did not seem very interested. I found out for myself that parking is free from 7 pm so I could leave my car outside. No restaurant available other than for breakfast.

Review 48:Sitting on the terrace for a drink in the fresh air after check-in, served by pleasant waiter. Good draught beer available.

Review 49:not even a bottle of water in the room

Review 111:nothing

Review 112:Location Beautiful room attentive staff Great breakfeast

Review 113:Very expensive and €20 for a microwave meal.

Review 114:Great location.

Review 115:everything ok

Review 116:Car parking facilities very limited, but we were fortunate because there were few guests. I would think car parking would be a problem if hotel were full

Review 117:Location was excellent, especially for train to Paris

Review 118:The hotel elevator buttons were a bit confusing...it was difficult to locate the ground floor when I was using the elevator around 6 am, and I tried a few floors before finding the correct one. This is perhaps because I am American and not that used to European elevators, but the correct button was not well marked and I have a photo to prove it. :) Anyway, after I checked out of the hotel at the front desk around 7 am, I tried to leave through the front entrance which has two sets of sliding glass doors. I noticed right as I was about to go through the first set of doors that there was a folding ladder in the center of the alcove between the doors with caution tape around it. I wasn't sure what was going on and there was room around the edges of the alcove, so I tried to go around the ladder with my roller suitcase, and realized too late that there was wet cement in a large center floor panel that the ladder was standing in the midst of after my foot sank down into the cement. At that point, I also noticed a few faint cement footprints on the floor nearby...the staff at the front desk didn't seem to know that there was wet cement there and hadn't warned me about it, and there was barely room in the entry to walk on the 'solid' tiles around the wet cement in any case, especially not when dealing with luggage. I had to spend several moments cleaning cement off my black leather flat before it hardened before I could leave to catch the train, and then I left through the back way through the gravel parking lot, carrying a rather heavy roller suitcase.

Review 119:The hotel was very clean and the room I was given was large and appeared to be newly remodeled. A hot kettle is provided with lemon tea so that you can make tea for yourself in the morning (I didn't buy the Continental breakfast as I was leaving early in the morning and it seemed rather high priced). The staff was friendly, and offered cold filtered water to refill my empty water bottles, and also helped locate shampoo for me when I couldn't find it in the room (it turned out to be in a dispenser on the wall of the shower/bathtub that I hadn't noticed!). The hotel has a luggage room so that you can leave your bag there before check-in if you arrive earlier in the day and are going to visit the Chateau de Chantilly and don't want to be burdened with your luggage.

Review 120:The bedroom doors banged noisily. Breakfast was expensive; some items of food ran out and one member of staff was quite indifferent.

Review 121:The reception staff were always helpful. The area was a massive improvement after my previous visit a few years ago.
