Reviews for Best Western Hôtel De Dieppe
Review 1:Hotel room was clean and comfortable, good value for money and charming. But hotel is a little tired.
Review 2:Location was perfect. Tight near the train station and car rental. Yet walkable to resaurants and historic district.
Review 3:Broken elevator. But...
Review 4:The staff was excellent. Even helped me across the street with luggage on the last day. The elevator was broken, but staff carried luggage to and from the room for us.
Review 5:lift not working. Up narrow stairs with suitcases can be challenging. Small toilet narrow shower no shower curtain. Basic breakfast.
Review 6:Right in front of the train station. Near metro and bus. Good wifi. New upgraded shower with large shower head. Good for business and short stay.
Review 7:Room was stuffy with no ventilation, too noisy to open the windows, dated and in need of updating. The bathroom while new was too small. We had steak for our evening meal which was tough and cold. Overall disappointed with our stay.
Review 8:The staff were very helpful and pleasant .
Review 9:Noisy with windows open and thin walls. No door on shower room. Lift was not working when we stayed.
Review 10:Friendly reception, helpful staff. Clean, modern room
Review 11:No bar as such, only cocktails. Parking in multi-storey station car park. Discount was given by hotel, however.
Review 12:Outstanding receptionist on arrival. Great people watching of station from window (better than TV!) Once closed, no noise from outside, excellent night's sleep. Central position to enjoy cultural visit.
Review 13:3rd floor room with no lift working and I had a broken foot!!!! No aircon in very high temperstures
Review 14:The receptionist tried her best to offer us a fan for the room and a free drink
Review 15:2 things that could improve.... Parking wasn't €8 a day as described, we had to find parking in close by station which added up to €12 for first 12 hours. It gets more expensive and staff couldnt tell us where else to park. 2nd issue, cost of breakfast is €10 a person!!! For a simple buffet breakfast, that's a rip off.
Review 16:Staff really friendly and room was nice. What you would expect in Europe and great price.
Review 17:The hotel is across the street from the railway station. Very convenient if arriving in Rouen via train. The historic town center, shops and restaurants are within walking distance of the location. The staff at this hotel were helpful and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Front desk staff came to the room to make sure the room was to our liking. The Hotel Dieppe is an old hotel with updated rooms and baths, but has not lost its charm. Rooms are small by American standards, but more than adequate. On site restaurant is very nice.
Review 18:Room was a little small and oddly shaped, and had a few easily-fixable peculiarities, suggesting recent update had been finished hastily: most importantly, no overhead light in bathroom. Had to keep window-curtain open in morning to see (fortunately, I don't think you could see in from street below!). Same in main-room, where you had to turn on 5 or 6 separate lights to see well. No mini-bar. Limited storage space.
Review 19:Very convenient location right next to central station. We thought our room at the front might be noisy from traffic, but it wasn't. Room had clearly been modernized quite recently, with smart, modern fittings. Hotel is old but kept well up-to-date in all ways and full of original and attractive style and character. Staff are helpful and efficient.
Review 20:The location was poor because it was very noisy outside the hotel until late at night and early in the morning. I would not recommend to stay at the hotel if you hope to have a good night sleep.
Review 21:The staff was friendly and helpful. The room comfortable and clean. I would recommend the hotel for these reasons.
Review 22:Difficulty to unload the suitcases as there is no parking in front of the hotel. One has to double park with the risk of getting a fine !
Review 23:The new staff ( it was her 1st day) she was extremely helpful with giving me directions on how to return my rented vehicle. Very complicated at Rouen train station, a real nightmare !
Review 24:Room and bathroom very small, bathroom had clear glass in large window which meant we had to have the thick curtain closed, only lighting two small spots over wash basin. I think the photos of the rooms are misleading. Opposite main train station but at least 10 minute walk to cathedral, restaurants and old town so not as central as we wanted.
Review 25:Friendly staff
Review 26:Noisy location Room smelled of smoke and the option to move to a room the same size wasn't there poor breakfast options very stuffy inside the room and couldn't keep the window open because of the noise
Review 27:Clean bathroom
Review 28:- the warderobe in the room not very well located, complicated access to it, but only hassle for longer stays.
Review 29:- very friendly and helpful staff - great breakfast in small very comfortable restaurant - small room but ok for one night stay - parking at discounted rates in the nearby parkhouse
Review 30:Shower over the bath not the best idea if your movement is limited. Insufficient supplies of tea/coffee/milk/sugar.
Review 31:Location was very good. Easy to find. Quality of food was good and plentiful. Staff friendly and helpful. Bed was extremely comfortable, to a point where it will end up costing us money.(new mattress required in our house!)
Review 32:Kind and really helpful staff. Nice room (recently renewed in a fashion-classic style). Confortable big bed and really clean bathroom. Little room but well organized (there is a big wardrobe). Good Breackfast with a varied options. Just 10 minutes afoot from the Cathedral and the Old Market quarter (with many Medieval Norman buildings). It is in front of the Rail Station but it is not noicy.
Review 33:Wasn't an issue for us but some may have disliked the noise. The parking cost more than stated on here but was still reasonable. We arrived late and left our car on the front till morning then moved it to the car park where it stayed till lunchtime the next day at a total cost of 15 Euro.

Review 50:Good location easy to find
Review 51:Location. Nice resturant in the hotel and plenty of resturants near by. Transportation very close bus and train. walk 5 min to the center of Roun.

Review 56:The staff were very kind and helpful- all the staff. Enjoyed my stay and the good food.
Review 57:No complaints.
Review 58:Great location, right across street from the train station. Large and comfortable room. Friendly staff!
Review 59:The atmosphere of the hotel was very welcoming. The dining room was a step back in time to the art deco era. Well situated for a city break.
Review 60:no airconditioning supplementary bed of third person was very uncomfortable
Review 61:friendly staff good location
Review 62:Was hot day and no air condition
Review 63:Heplful staff
Review 64:location, comfortable hotel, lovely staff, we didn,t eat there as quite expensive.
Review 65:Tub is very deep. My husband fell after showering when getting out of the tub.
Review 66:Perfect location for access to train station and tourist sites. Wonderful breakfast and helpful staff.
Review 67:Our room was no-smoking room, but we could smell thr smoke in the room. The internet had to be re-connected every 15-20 minutes. The breakfast was very basic, there was no eggs even. Though, when we have asked for the omlette for our kid, it has been kindly provided, and was free of charge.
Review 68:The hotel is well located gor those arriving to Rouen by train as it is just steps away from the Gare. It is also in about 10 minutes walk to the town's center. The room was clean and there was a vanity kit in the bathroom.
Review 69:No muesli at breakfast!
Review 70:Very comfortable, spacious room with excellent bathroom. Friendly staff at reception. Very convenient for station, historic centre.
Review 71:Located near the main train station so easy to get to from the train.Restaurant in the hotel is 4 star rated and the food there is excellent! The best meal we had during our three weeks in France. There was a kingsized bed in the room which is very difficult to find in Europe.
Review 72:a small bar, so small that it is fully packed with five guests only. Acoustic insulation needs complete rethinking, unless you like sharing your privacy with the guest next door.
Review 73:conveniently located right opposite the Rouen railways station, Hotel de Dieppe boasts af welcoming staff and - seemingly - a good restaurant catering to visitors and locals as well (I did not have the the opportunity to give a try). It offers clean and renovated rooms in somewhat faded old-fashion building.
Review 74:There was no AC and it was really hot, but opening the window was not an option because it was too loud outside with the train station activity. Also, the bed smelled a bit musty, which was unpleasant.
Review 75:The location right across from the train station is extremely convenient. The room was very quiet and had everything we needed. Staff was helpful and very nice.
Review 76:The lift was a bit scary!
Review 77:Loved .. the meal we had the professional but friendly staff the old style french decor/building tea making facilities being upgraded to a comfort room relaxed atmosphere comfy bed / extra pillows provided the whole experience
Review 78:The hotel was very clean and the bed was especially comfortable. The room was very quiet despite being across from the train station. The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. The 24 hour desk was necessary for our very late arrival by train.
Review 79:1. Booked a non smoking room but was given one on checkin in - had to ask or a new room. 2. Mattress sloped BADLY in towards the middle of the bed, making comfortable sleep impossible!
Review 80:Close to station
Review 81:the non smoking room reeked of smoke. I had to dry clean all my clothes afterwards so when I add that to the cost of the hotel, it isn't such a bargain!
Review 82:location near train station
Review 83:The location of the Hotel wasnt immediately evident and despite themention of available parking (on the website) I did not know where topark. After travelling for 8 hours from Toulouse to Rouen it wasstressful trying to work out where to park my car.
Review 84:Staff were friendly and helpful and it helped the receptionists spokegood English.Enjoyed the free Wi-fi
Review 85:The hotel was a bargain, a last minute thing. The beds were comfortable and the service was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for people staying in Rouen for a few nights. We've stayed in Best Western hotels before and they've always been nice.
Review 86:WiFi was poor, could not retrieve or send my emails using Outlook because of your WiFi setup.

Review 89:Small and friendly hotel would stay again
Review 90:Cramped tiny rooms

Review 102:Breakfast - the meat/jambon lacked freshness.
