Review 2：Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Restaurant and bar on the top (4th) floor had a fantastic view over the mountain. Only had to cross a quiet road and you're on a ski slope.

Review 6：Brilliant slope side position for ski school and nice breakfast. The bar needs work, it lacks atmosphere and as a result, no one really uses it. The restaurant has this horrible blinding strip lights that make you feel like your in a school canteen or similar.

Chosen purely on price, we were pleasently surprised how comfortable and clean the room was, with a great shower, plenty of storage and the breakfast was everything you could ask for. Secure storage for snowboards and boots was also spot on. Free parking is also a bonus.

The twin room (209), was warm and comfortable, with a hot shower every night. We will definitely be staying again.

Review 46：I think it's the pretty good hotel for its 2-stars! Very good balance between price, service and location: next to slopes and in 5-7 minutes walk to resort's center. You can put on/off skis in about 50 meters from entrance. With very responsive and polite staff. Good breakfasts at the panoramic view restaurant on the top floor. The restaurant has an electric crepe maker. We stayed at the hotel during Russian holiday Maslennitsa and made pancakes (blini) every day. :) In spite of the relatively small room it was pretty comfortable for family (2 adults and 1 child) - with large bathroom and alpine view through the window size of the entire wall. I read about poor soundproof between rooms... but during our visit we haven't heard any sounds except rare sounds from the side street under balcony.

As we were only there for one night in peak ski-ing season (we were grateful to get a room at all!), it was fine, but wouldn't have wanted to spend longer there with those beds.

Review 51：Our second time at Le Chaix and even better this new year. The same clean cosy room (104) with lovely views and a modern shower room with ample space to dry wet ski wear. The new management/staff were really friendly and helpful (and the chef very funny and accommodating). Boiled eggs and pancakes were a welcomed addition to breakfast this time. The best pan au raisins ever tasted. The convenience of location never ceases to amaze for the price ..... out of the ski room, over the road through the car park, skis on and off we go down to a choice of three chair lifts. A huge bonus that you can easily ski back to where you started from at the end of the day. The views from Pic Blanc were awesome even though we didn't have the courage to ski down Le Tunnel on that occasion (we are red run skiers growing in confidence with each holiday). We will definitely be back, especially as we haven't skied it all yet.
